Sounds like your iPhone was hacked/modified/jailbroken to work
with wireless carrier other than the one it was purchased from. The
update has relocked it to the original carrier. Contact the original
carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify - only the
carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Be advised that the previous modifications to change from original carrier
to your local Carrier may have rendered the software unable to be updated or
officially unlocked.

okay, so lately my iPhone 3GS has been telling me i have no service what so ever for the past two days. But today when i was on the bus going home from school, i had perfect service and everything until i got close to my house (to clarify, i live somewhat far out from the center of town, and my school is right in the middle of town.. didnt know if that would affect anything). So then i asked my Dad about it and he reccomended restoring and updating my phone to see if it helped because im a couple updates behind. So i plugged it in, backed it up, and began to restore and update it. All was well until it got to the "verifying the restore with apple" stage. I was watching the rose bowl and not paying attention while it was on, but remembered that it started that stage at the beginning of the game. Now the game just ended 5 or 10 minutes ago and lasted a goood hour, hour an a half, and its still verifying!! i dont know what to do... HELP!

Log on to your computer, and go to www.findmyiphone.com and login to your apple ID and it will give you the location of your iphone. If you need extra help, i strongly suggest you contact apple via phone call.

I've been charging my ipad most of the morning but its still saying low power...what does that mean?

I have restarted my phone numereous times (because there's nothing else you can do to an iPhone) and every time it turns back on it'll have bars for a little while and then say " No SIM installed" or it'll go straight to "No SIM". Why is this happeneing and how can i fix it?

I have tried to turn it off and lock it but the screen will not change. I have even tried to call it from my house phone, but it will not make any noise; even though the ringer is on.

my iphone 4s has been reporting invalid sim/sim card failure intermittently for a week. I thought it was a one/two-time thing, so had to manually eject SIM card and put back in. Today, after it happened twice in 12 hours, someone told me to reset - i thought they meant reset all settings, not network settings. while in the middle of resetting, there was an invalid SIM card again. so a few questions - which should i do first? try to manually back up from itunes (not connected to cloud - will be after tonight!), or eject SIM card? don't know if one will jeopardize the other. also, the last time i backed up was 6 days ago - have taken hundreds of pics since then - are those all lost? is there a way to essentially not reset? i thought the reset was okay because it said i'd lose no data or media. Help! thanks much!

My icloud account is not verifying it says check my mail witch I have done and I get a message say your iPhone for has been used to set up and Icloud account but still can not use the icloud can anybody help me.
Be sure you are checking the email account that you used to set up the Apple ID you used to create the iCloud account. Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox. The email you should receive looks like the image below. When you get it, click the Verify Now link.
If it still isn't there, try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right look for a link to resend the verification email. -

My iPhone 5s has been deleting my calendar. First time, just the calendar, then next time the calendar and contacts, then yesterday, calendar, contacts, notes and reminders. The phone is only 6 months old or so and is on iOS 7.1.2 (although I need to update it- but have to do some storage management first...)
I have looked at my calendar in my icloud account and it is a week or so out of date, even though it supposedly backed up from my phone on Friday. I am becoming very frustrated by this. Am I doing something wrong? Advice would be much appreciated. In the past I have deleted my icloud account from my phone and then re-signed in, as well as sharing my calendar with myself to restore it, and it works eventually.Sorry I misstyped- it is an iphone 4s.

Recently my iphone 4 has been acting dumb
i'm not sure why it is doing all this things but here is a list of what is recently has been doing:
when i charge it, the screen goes completely black and this little white loading circle is in the middle and it does that for ages and finally loads. (the black screen with the white loading thing happens sometimes even if i'm not charging it and it lasts for about 20 minutes)
it made all my pictures and videos and albums that were in my gallery disappear but they're slowly coming back (it says restoring 24 of 1,084 with a loading thing) it has done this about 3 times now
it deletes all my saved messages and it has never brung them back
sometimes when i try to open apps it closes them in approximately 2 seconds
sometimes when i'm using an app it will exit it out in the middle of whatever i'm using
i only have 4 apps downloaded and it says i've ran out of storage completely which means i can't use my camera, download more apps, or update anything
when i listent to my music it will suddenly stop and i'll have to go back to it and make it play again
basically those are all of the things my iphone 4 has been doing and i've dropped it a few times but i've never dropped it really badly to where it's cracked, my phone actually doesn't even have one scratch on it so i don't understand why these things are happening and i've had it for about 9 months so if there's anything you can do to help me fix it that would be really appreciated. also, i have not done the software update ios 6 because appearently i don't have enough storage to do that either.idkhelpmyphoneisbroken wrote:

If you are using the iphone as it is designed you won't.
You should be importing all pics/vids taken with your iphone to your computer regularly as you would with nany digital camera.
Restart loses nothing, nor does reset.
Restore does erase, but you should always make sure that pics/vids are imported, contacts and calendars are synced, music is transferred to your computer.
