pull the plug for 30sec and try reconnecting power

I do not know how this happened but it won't get out of the start up screen.

The 4.4 update bricked mine too. I did the restore using the USB cable on iTunes successfully but the unit still hangs on the Apple logo screen.

I have tried resetting my airport extreme, creating a new network, etc nothing seems to work.

I have a feeling you may be stuck in bridge mode there...
Factory reset the Extreme (so we don't second guess later), and re-set up the extreme using iOS5 on your iPhone.
Set up your Wi-Fi network with your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or Mac.

Well I am trying to turn off my ipod touch 4g but the white wheel just keeps spinning?!?!?!

Well i have had my ipod touch 4g since june and once in a while i turn off my ipod...... but this time when i turned it off it usually just goes quick but this time it us taking at least hours!!!!! I AM DESPERATE FOR ANY HELP AT ALL!!! and all that is happening is a white spinning wheel that is just annoying me!!! HELP ME!!!!

this usually means the software and hardware can't find each other for whatever reason the following article addresses this issue:

Apple usually doesn’t sell RAM for older Macs. You’re probably better off buying it from a source such as OWC or Crucial and installing it yourself.

My Itouch died and when I plugged it into a friend's computer to charge it, it just has this white screen when I try to turn it on. I took it home and plugged it into my own computer, and it's doing the same thing.
