I have just upgraded from a Macbook to a Macbook Air. I have been using a iomega external hard drive for Time Machine, which use a Firewire. However, Macbook Air's do not have a Firewire port and i cannot find an adaptor anywhere. Can anyone help?? Thanks
There has never been a reliable firewire ---> USB adapter suitable for external high speed storage. This was a major issue when the MacBooks lost the firewire port a number of years ago (Apple subsequently brought it back).
The only high speed port on the Air is the ThunderBolt port. There are external ThunderBolt drive options out there, but they're somewhat more expensive than traditional USB/FireWire options. -

If you are not getting any sound from the speaker, follow this article.

Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved, please contact Apple Support.

I am using iPhone 5 and tried to Erase All Contents and Settings but it is just showing an apple sign on the screen and nothing is happening now for about 3 days now. All it does is eat up my battery and still show apple sign after charging! Help!!!!

I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear what issues you were having that led up to the attempted Erase All, and/or exactly what behavior you are seeing now (restarting, not responding at all, etc). If you are seeing an Apple Logo screen and your iPhone does not appear to be starting correctly, you may find the following articles helpful:

Firefox has been unsuccessfully attempting to download a software update for a few days now... What’s the problem?
If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.<br />
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
Do a clean (re-)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox. -
I have a problem where I can not sysnc , I get a comment that the sync is not able to start as a session can not be made. The Iphone is clearly shown but I have reloaded every bit of software. Why is it so difficult to get help from Itunes.

I have had the same issue since day 1 of the ios5 installation. I always hit "Cancel" and then the iPad eventually shows up again in iTunes. Then a few hours later, I get the same message again. Annoying, but I've not found a way around it.

Huge problems with iTunes -can anyone help?
I have a iBook G4 and a first-generation iPod. I purchased 2 lengthy audio books from the iTunes store and synchronized them to my iPod.
When the books play on the iPod, the sound is garbled. It is like 2 voices are interposed, one on top of another. This problem does not manifest when the audio book is played on the mac.
I can't burn the audio books to a CD, because each section is over an hour long, and iTunes won't let me. Basically, I'm running into a DRM problem of some kind, and Apple support refuses to answer my emails.
Has anyone had this happen? Any ideas? Standard mp3 audio books work fine when synchronized with the iPod.

The Math.random() is a static method that returns a double value with a positive sign, greater than or equal to 0.0 and less than 1.0.
It does not return an array or a int. If you use the Math.random method, you will have to cast your double into an int. Also you need to create a for loop to fill your array and add code to check that the value returned from the Math.random method has not already been used. -
Question : I have just installed I Tunes to my external E drive , this is due to company laptop restiction with ref to software.
When I try and load ITunes via my desktop short cut i get a window indicating Invalid handle e:/program/itunes. Can anyone offer any advise.iTunes needs to be installed on the boot drive.

My ipod tpuch and ipad won't sync with itunes even though they are recognised by my comuter. i have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes but still won't sync. How can i get my equipment to sync with itunes?
It has been shown there are problems with the latest update of iTunes and Windows computers. What you need to do is remove and reinstall iTunes, and make sure that you follow the steps in this support document exactly. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923. If you do not follow them exactly, you will just compound your problems. Once you do this, you should have no trouble having the phone recognized in iTunes.

Since updating my iTunes I no longer have any controls. iTune covers the entire desktop and I cannot add from my files. Prior to updating I had a perfectly good iTunes which would allow me to stories for including on a iPod.

Take the following steps:
1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!
