When you have kernel panics, the pertinent information is in the panic report.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.

Here is the fix for that problem, if you're still having it. I had the same thing happen. Sony Singh posted this in another conversation and it worked. Just be sure to reboot after copying and pasting the file below.
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes

The metric "M1" has two different ColumnDescriptor list. If the dynamic property "version" is 4, then M1's ColumnDescriptor list includes 'C1', 'C2'. After pausing, clicking on the resume button next to the downloading file should restart it.
Have you tried opening the App Store, Purchases and click on the software to be downloaded from there?
You can also go to the Finder, Applications folder and move the partial file to another location, such as your documents folder and then try to download...should fool it into believing it has not been downloaded to that machine. If it is Yosemite you are trying to download, the file will be Finder, Applications, OS X Yosemite Installer

How to make the bookmark work within portal

as we know, when we click bookmark button, the system will generate a url with bookmark id in the address bar. But within portal, since the query is only treated as an iview, the generated url will not display in the address bar.
another question is, when we use this bookmark address, it will leave to global ie level from the portal screen.

This is a copy of 0QUERY_TEMPLATE that includes code to add to ie favorites. You can get the url from the document within the portal frame and add it to IE. you can do this with a singular button or multiple buttons. Similarly, you can add this logic to the 0ADHOC template in BW 3.5 and add a button there...

How to make the profiler work?

Hello Forum
I just read about the profiler feature of flex builder 3. I can't seem to get it to work though. I switch to the profiler view. Close the browser and profle the application (Run). The profiler shows no data. It seems to be turned off?
What am I missing? I assume it's something very basic.
Any ideas?

The flex builder 3 profiler still doesn't work. It behaves exactly like the debugger, meaning it launches a new browser with the html / swf with the following url: http://testproject:8888/testproject.html?debug=true#
All the traces are printed in the console window. So that is helpful. But when I switch the perspective to "Flex Profiling" view, I get an empty panel with all buttons disabled (see attached screenshot).
I'm building an actionscript 3 project for the browser as well as for a standalone application (.app).
I have MAMP Pro installed through port 8888. So my project is accessible through: http://testproject:8888/testproject.html
I am building for flash player 9.
I've attached a screenshot of the preference settings.

I have 2 airport express base stations that I am trying to use to extend my wifi. I have windows 7 and downloaded the airport utility but it wont pick up my airport express. Does anyone know what im doing wrong and how to get them to work?

I would recommend that you start by performing a "factory default" reset on all of your AirPort base stations. Once completed power them all down. While powered-down, temporarily connect both Express base stations to an open LAN port on the Extreme using separate Ethernet cables.
Once connected, power up the Extreme; wait five minutes, and then, power up each of the Express base stations. Which you power-up first doesn't matter.
Now start up the AirPort Utility on the PC. It should now "see" all three base stations. If so, go ahead and configure your extended network.
Please post back your results.

How to make the IC_EMAIL work center working?

Hi Gurus,
I am testing the email funcation of SAP delivered business role UTIL_IC (Utilities IC Agent). The email profile is 'DEFAULT' with email provider as ICI. The work center is IC_EMAIL.
After I clicked the email option under communication through the navigation bar, the email screen was loaded. However, there is no any response after I clicked the 'new email' button (the BP was confirmed). Also the screen was frozen in the email screen and it did not go anywhere no matter what else option I chose in the navigation bar.
I checked the naviagtion bar profile UTL-IC and IC_EMAIL is maintained in the generic outbound plug mapping as below.
IC_EMAIL Display IC_EMAIL2 (LogLinkID)
IC_EMAIL Create TEMAILCR (TargetID)
Could you help to shed some light on this? Also does anyone know which component is behind this IC_EMAIL screen (I could not choose any field in this screen to press F2)?

How to make the pointer work when clicking?

I have purchased a new Macbook Pro and am at set up stage yet. I can't go further because the pointer is not working when I am clicking. I can't click on "Start using Mac OS X Lion." I have become so frustrated now! Please let me know if I can fix it or I have to return it to apple centre for fixing.

Press the 'tab' key on your keyboard a couple of times. You should see the blue highlight/focus move between options. When its on the option you want, hit the spacebar.
There may be something wrong with your trackpad. Try pressing down quite hard in the bottom left corner. It it takes an unreasonable amount of force, take it back to the shop to have it cleaned or replaced.
I had exactly this problem from new (in 2009) and never bothered to get it fixed because I mostly use 'tap to click'
 > System Preferences > Trackpad | One Finger - tap to click
but it is an PITA in installation and recovery mode where that gesture is off by default.

It does not show the page name.
I tried:

How to make the KeepAlive work

I am using solaris 10 now and need to use the KeepAlive functionality of tcp. I used the command *"ndd"* to set the tcp_keepalive_interval to 10000, and use the function *"setsockopt"* to set the SO_KEEPALIVE option to 1 in my program , but it does't work. I wonder whether I have done the right configuration or there is some other work to do, since this functionality can be easily done in linux and windows .
