HT201272 What about past audiobook purchases?

None of my audiobooks are available for download...

You can't re-download past audiobook purhcases usign your purchase page or iTunes in the cloud. You can contact support for help in getting them back:

By the way, they might ask for the order numbers so you might want to have them ready. =)

  • HT203167 how do I download past audiobook purchases?

how do I download past audiobook purchases? my computer crashed. itunes allowed me to download everything but my audiobooks.

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download. Have you not got a backup of your content on, for example, an external drive ?

  • HT201272 What about audio books?  my audio book didnt download the full book.  a file is missing.  how do I see that to download?

What about audio books?  my audio book didnt download the full book.  a file is missing.  how do I see that to download?

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download. If it didn't download correctly then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that audiobook and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

  • HT201272 Why are my past audiobook purchases not showing up for download?

I click "Purchase" under "Quick Links" and click "Books". None of the audiobooks I have purchesed in the past are avaliable for download. How can I download the audiobooks that I have purchesed in the past?

Audiobooks are not currently available for repeat download. It should have been clear when you you made the purchase that you were entitled to one successful download of the product after which you were responsible for maintaining a backup of it. These limitations are imposed by the rights holders. You can contact iTunes Store Support and ask nicely to see if there is anything they can do, but they have no obligation to do so.

  • Sending in my iPod touch. What about my already purchased 2.0 firmware?

First off, sorry if im posting this in the wrong section. This is my first time in the apple discussions and i wasnt sure where to post this question.
Anyway, I have two questions. It is my understanding that when you send in your iPod for repairs you will not get your original iPod back. I already purchased the 2.0 firmware update and i dont want to have to buy it again for a different iPod Touch. What do i do about that?
Also, the reason i am sending it in is because it wont turn on no matter what i do. How am i supposed to de authorize it from my iTunes account if i cant turn it on?
    Thank You for your help!

Good questions, but since I don't have an iPod touch I haven't a clue.
You might post the saem thing over in the iPod touch forums.
Or ask iTS support using the Contact Us button at the bottom of this page

  • HT201272 What about ring tones?

This is the third time I have updated my iTunes on my PC and the third time i've lost my purchased ring tones, when i sync my iphone with the new version of itunes. It only happens to my ring tones, all other content is fine How do I get my ring tones back without having to pay for them yet again?

    Steve Taylor1 wrote:
I do not think Ringtones can be redownloaded. You can only download at time of purchase.
This is why it is useful to have a backup copy of your ringtones and other media
Quite right. Details of what can be relownloaded here. Here is a suggested backup regime.
BTW Steve, congratulations on your new level. I look forward to seeing you in the lounge before too long.

  • HT201359 OK. But what about VAT billings? What about including these purchases as my Company expenses? How can I get legal invoices which I might be able to declare?

    Hello,
I'm from Spain, Europe. I need to be able to declare the purchases my company does on iTunes and the App Store.
In order to be able to do so, I need Apple to include the name of my company and its VAT Number on the billing data Apple has from me. Unfortunately, Apple's billing data form does not offer the possibility to write neither the Company's name nor the VAT number.
From an European fiscal approach, any company that ommits the obligation of delivering invoices with VAT disclosure is actually committing a fiscal fraud.
Shall I put a demand on Apple or shall anyone at Apple explain me why isn't a way to include my VAT number on my Apple Account so that invoices include may  company's name and VAT number?
    Thank you very much,

    HI,
I forgot to follow up with the above. Thank you Hackintosh, your advice worked perfectly: I filled up a request, and Apple support team replied the following day. I received emails with the proper VAT invoices.
Here is what I wrote, if it be useful for others:
    Hello Apple,
I write to you regarding VAT charged and invoice for the electronic downloads from the Mac App Store. As you may know, there is no alternative way for a business to buy a software upgrade for Mac OS X for example. As I use my Mac Book Pro in my office for my business, I need VAT invoicing, as requested by EU and Irish laws.
I searched from the Apple Community discussions here
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4715504
    and here
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2714929
Please note that any purchase I made from the Apple Store with physical delivery has been invoiced properly with VAT.
Please could you send me the VAT invoices for my 201x purchases below:
    - Order Number: MTyourNumber, Receipt Date: xx/x/xx, Receipt No. 987654321, Order Total: 23,99 €
    - Order ID: MTyourNumber, Receipt Date:  xx/x/xx, Receipt No. 987654321, Order Total: 27,99 €
My VAT number is IE XYZXYZ.
    Kind regards,

My kids now each have an itouch, should we all have different apple ids even if I am paying for all itunes and app store purchases? what about icloud? I would like to share itunes and app purchases, but not necessarily photos...help please!

The recommended solution for most families is to share the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store purchases, so you can share your purchases, but us different IDs for iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud.  With this arrangement, each person can automatically download purchases made on the shared ID (by turning this feature on in Settings>iTunes & App Stores), while keeping their FaceTime calls, text messages and iCloud data (including photo stream) separated.  There is no requirement that the ID you use for purchasing be the same as the ID you use for these other services.

"Can you put purchased DVD movies that you have on your ipod? "
No.  breaking the encryption in order to copy them illegal.
" what about recorded DVD's that you have? "
    Add them to itunes.

  • HT201272 What does download all mean on my purchased music from the iTunes Store app?

What does download all mean on my purchased music from the iTunes Store app?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks only from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
BTW, are these all recent purchases (last 8 weeks or so) or does it affect older tracks also?

  • HT201272 I have purchased several Audiobooks and with the updates I have lost them but when I look they are coming up that there was no audiobooks purchased. I miss my audiobooks

With my updates i have lost all of my Audio books that I have purchased and when I look it up it doesnt come up that I purchased any. They were all purchased from iTunes. I had about 16 Audiobooks.
How can I get them back

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store - I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them that are requiring the one-time only download. Do you have copies of them in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library or on your backup of your downloads ? If not, and if they are still in the store, then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download :  : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If you haven't got copies of them on your computer and Apple let you redownload them then take a backup copy of them and anything else that you've downloaded from the store - even with apps, ibooks, music etc there is no guarantee that they will remain in the store for future re-downloading (content providers occasionally remove their items from the store).

  • DPS - what about IAP (In App Purchase)?

Is there any way, or will there be in the near future - to produce an app using DPS - but on the In App Purchse model? i.e. - a free (LITE) version then given the user a chance to upgrade to the full and complete version?

Depends on what kind of purchase it was. If it was non-replenisable, such as access to bonus features or levels, then you should be able to "purchase" it again without charge. Otherwise you should use the report a problem links in your account history.

Are the apps backed up too or do they need to be purchased, downloaded and installed again?

You can transfer your purchases to computer iTunes.
Connect and select iPhone in iTunes under DEVICES, right click and choose Transfer Purchases from ...
BTW, you can alway re-download again for free if it's still available in the app store.
