No. Photo stream photos are not backed up so there is no way to restore them. Only camera roll photos are backed up.

The iCloud FAQ seems to say iCloud does NOT automatically physically download and store all its photos back on all your devices, yet I'm sure the reason I can't take very many photos is because iCloud is doing just that....sending photos I already deleted from the phone's (non-photo-stream) standard photo library back to the phone and thereby filling up my phone's hard drive. I thought PhotoStream and iCloud held your photos in the "cloud" so you could view them THERE; but it looks like when the "cloud" is "full", the phone is full too (the FAQ says photos don't affect the 5GB free storage on the cloud, yet it sure seems the "cloud" affects the storage on my phone).
Is there a way to tell iCloud to NOT use my phone as it's hard drive?
I like the concept of having every photo automatically uploaded to the "cloud"...but shouldn't I be able to take more pictures when the "cloud" is "full" with 1000 photos?
If I delete the photos from my photo stream album, it says all the photos will be deleted from everywhere, including the "cloud". And, the only way to save them is to manually save them to the phone (they're already there....as described above) or manually save them to iPhoto (my Mac is an older MacMini that can't use any OS above 10.6.8, so iCloud isn't available to my desktop Mac).
Here are the options as I see them:
1. Turn off PhotoStream and give up on using the "cloud" or "iCloud" entirely. Make sure to back up those photos I want to keep regularly in iPhoto when I back up my phone. (I had this naive idea iCloud was intended to simplify this....)
2. Manually go through the 1000 photos that are apparently now back on my phone in the "Photostream album" and decide, viewing them ON the tiny phone screen, which ones should be manually deleted and which to keep, hoping that frees up enough space on the phone to be able to use the camera.
3. Just delete the entire photostream album, and therefore all the photos on my iPad and in iCloud, and accept that I didn't really want them anyway?
Is there any other option? Do I have to choose between PhotoStream and storage space on my phone, if I want to use the phone's camera after "1000 photos" reside in iCloud? The way it seems to be going, I will ALWAYS be fighting for storage on my phone as long as iCloud is "on"...no sooner than I delete photos from Photostream, every new photo will just be downloaded BACK to the phone anyway.
I'm almost at my wit's end.....is iCloud/PhotoStream ALL OR NOTHING?Please disregard this question. I'll submit a shorter and more direct question. Thanks.

Scheduling a filter to run only once a day
Hi All,
I am trying to build a filter running once every day, so far i am using "scheduledSystemEvent" which executes the filter every 5 mins.
I tried doing this via "CustomScheduleEvnet" also but did not have any luck with it.
Following is the snap shot of the table that i am mergin with the IdcScheduledSystemEvents

The quick and dirty way I've done this before is with a java filter hooked into "checkScheduledEvents" (emphasis on "quick and dirty"). Example below:

Unity Guru's - Can I automatically sync WMI's more than once a day?
Hey guys, I been fighting this new Unity/Microsoft MAPI/CDO bug (CSCti70702)/ KB2405611) with my Exchange 2010 servers. One of the symptoms is sporadic MWI on/off triggers to CM. So I’ve had to manually sync the MWI’s via the Telephone Integration Manager. Can anyone think of a way to run a resync job every x number of minutes until Microsoft can get this fixed? The TIM will only do it once a day.
Thanks everyone!When I mention flooding the ports, I brought that up since I've seen any number of Unity systems (large and small) in production environments and have helped a number of users here in the forum that do not dedicate ports to MWI. Instead, it's not uncommon to find situations where all ports are set up to do everything. So, it's good that you've at least got some ports dedicated to MWI. Honestly, if you have 900 subscribers and over 96 ports - you would never run into this anyway. I've done installs where there are 4000+ users that only have 96 ports ... so no worries there.
The scenario you're talking about makes sense. Ideally, no - you wouldn't need to mass reset the MWI on a healthy Unity system other than the scheduled UTIM operation. In your case, sounds like it is warranted as a short-term tactical solution to a problem that is identified and not yet fixed. However, as you know the UTIM only does this once a day and I do not know of any other way to schedule or invoke the resync operation outside of the manual method you are using now.

How do you switch to streaming without deleting synched photos in AppleTV?
I have synced my photos onto my AppleTV and use them as my screen saver. I'd like to keep these photos on my Apple TV and also use the stream function to listen to my music playlists and movies. When I switch the option to streaming everything is deleted from my Apple TV, including the photos that I use as the screensaver. How do you switch to streaming without deleting synched photos in the Apple TV?
Firstly, the ctrl-click option says turn of syncing not turn on streaming, but I'm not at all sure this is really what you want to do.
In itunes, select the tv from the device list, then in the main part of the iTunes window select the summary tab and ensure you have custom sync enabled and that 'show only synced items' is unchecked.
Click sync from the bottom RH corner, your tv should now see all the content in itunes provided it is checked. See This.
Now you can work your way through all the tabs in the main window and select/deselect any content you want/don't want to sync. -
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to retrieve photos from my iPhone 4 that I took more than 30 days ago on to my pc?
I had issues in 10.4.7 as well as 10.4.8.
My problems occurred at the beginning of 10.4.8, then many users brought light to me using WEP, which was not working that great. I changed my connections to WPA2 and my problem has disappeared. If my problem didn't resolve the way it did, I would have mentioned it the next time I visited an apple store.
The bottom line is that assumptions, complaining, and self diagnostics don't get many people very far and bringing the problem to apple helps them know the incidence of this problem, and helps them develop a reliable solution.
Though some users have reported the "cold shoulder" when reporting Airport problems to apple... I hope you weren't one of them. -

Later, I lost the iPod.
I want to retrieve as much of the data, especially photos, as possible ftom the backup.
I do not have another iPod to use the restore function.
Is there any other way to retrieve the photos or any other data from the backup?You could restore an iPad or iPhone from the backup.

For reasons best left unsaid, in a recent rebuild of my iMac and Time Capsule, I lost all my photos. I do however have them all currently on my iPad. Is it possible to retrieve my photos from the iPad back to iPhotos (now Photos) on my iMac?
have the photos on the iPad been taken with the iPad camera or imported using the camera connection kit?
Or have they been synced to the iPad with iTunes?
You can download any photos to your mac by connecting the iPad by USB to to your Mac and import to Phots, but this way only photos from the Camera Roll will be imported. If your photos have been synced with iTunes, you can only mail them to your mac.

You can't reimport pictures synced from your computer to your device back to your computer. You can only import pictures taken by your device, or saved to it, from your device to your computer. If you need to retrieve synced photos from your device, email the photos from the device to yourself. Then download the photos from the emails to your computer. -
Is it possible to retrieve 1000 photos that have been photostreamed thru to my mac from my daughter in Europe but not saved on my mac. These same photos have been deleted from my daughters ipad in Europe ?
If the photos have been deleted from Photo Stream, then they are gone unless they have been saved elsewhere. Are they not in the Camera Roll of the iOS device they were taken on?
Photo Stream is not a permanent storage solution. It stores up to the last 1000 photos taken on an iOS device for a maximum of 30 days. -

If you need to book in a different size you need to reformat it. The book, that was sent to apple was a PDF, and that cannot be used by Apple to create the smaller sized book.
So I supposed that it was all going be saved and clicked on the change theme button where I can choose from the different sizes. Unfortunately I lost all the type editing.
If your Time Machine backup goes back far enough in time, you could try to restore the iPhoto library from before you changed the book theme and then try to find out what the colours and fonts have been. -

tlpYou won't be able to recover the Library. Even if you recover all the constituent files (and you won't) you will not be able to place them correctly for it to work. So, no matter what, without a back up the best you can do is start over from scratch.
You'll need a file recovery utility like File Salvage
You'll need to scan the disk for the deleted files. Many will be of the same or similar names. In such cases always choose to recover the largest file size, it's most likely to be the original.
Create a new Library and import the recoverd file.
Btw, don't ask about backing up my system.

my iPhone was stolen last night and I'm trying to recover all my photos from that phone and get them on my mac laptop. The iCloud photo stream only imported 1,000 photos from my stolen phone. How can I retrieve all of my other photos?
You have to reset the device to Factory Settings in order to restore it from an iCloud backup. You probably want to back it up as is before you do this.
To do the reset after you have backed up the current device, go to Settings>Reset>Reset all Content & Settings. This will erase the device. If you are signed onto iCloud with Find My iPhone turned on, go to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom to sign out of iCloud before you do the reset.
Once you have reset your device, you will set it up like a new phone. When it asks if you want to restore it from an iCloud backup, select the backup you want to restore it from.

How can i retrieve my photo library that got lost by your techs at the apple store?
First to locate your library on the hard drive launch iPhoto with the Option key held down so you get this window:
Your library should be displayed in the window and it's location displayed below the window when clicked on.
If that fails to locate your library download and run Find Any File to search for a file named "ThumbJPGSegment.data" which is a file common to all versions of iPhoto libraries.
FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages. If there's a library hiding somewhere on your hard drive FAF will find it.
Once you find the library you can try to repair if it doesn't open as it should by trying this:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database.
