HT201401 Why is it that all the sound comes out of the right speaker when playing music? The left speaker seems to be blocked or damaged what do i do to be certain that there may be a problem?

I have just noticed whilst playing music on my iphone4 that the sound doesn't  play on the left side, as if it has broken..not sure whats going on. I have tried different songs ..changed EQ but i think think is internal. This has happened recently as i noticed the change in sound straight away.

So why is it that my friend who is directly in front of me with iphone 4 and both speaker holes sound... Yet another friend next to me has same problem as me? We are covering one finger over one side and comparing. Left no sound.

I have an iPhone 5 and with any pair of earphones that I plug in the sounds comes out of the speakers and not the earphones
The problem occurred a few days after I had updated to iOS 7.02

    Hey Tahls23!
I have an article that can help you troubleshoot that issue:

    No sound through stereo headset
Inspect the headset jack for debris and clean if necessary.
Connect the headset and make sure the connector is pushed in all the way.
Check the volume setting. Adjust the volume by pressing the volume up and down button on the left side of the iPhone.
If you are trying to listen to music and cannot hear any audio, make sure that the music on iPhone is not paused. Try squeezing the headset microphone to resume playback. Additionally, from the Home screen you can choose iPod > Now Playing, then tap Play.
Make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed on the computer that you are syncing the iPhone with (songs purchased from the iTunes Store using earlier versions of iTunes won't play).
Try another Apple headset (some third-party headsets require an adapter to be used with original iPhone).
Try a different song or video.
Check to see if the iPhone alert sounds or other iPhone sound effects exhibit the same audio issues.
Disconnect the headset from the iPhone and see if sound comes from the built-in speaker.
Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.

My iPod touch is having a little issue with the volume. When I plug in my headphones the volume works fine. When there aren't any headphones plugged in, no sound comes out from my iPod. When I go to turn up the volume, it still says headphones. I tried restarting it a few times, nothing worked. I looked up many tutorials, and still nothing did the trick. Any tips?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

I have a large monitor on my desk and the sound does not come out of the speakers on the monitor the sound comes out of the mini hard drive- how do I fix that to get it to work out of the monitor

  • TS2634 When ever I plug in my earphones the sound comes out really low

When ever I plug in my earphones the sound comes out really low and you barely can hear it.

The volume is set very quite I guess. Try adjusting the volume with the bottoms on the side. Your earphones could maybe cause some trouble too, are they damaged, are they as quite on another device?
Also note that your iPad remembers the earphones and will always adjust it back to the last setting these earphones had.

    hi,
but the upper limit is changing everytime you call the function recursively
so there should not be any problem(i suppose)
my intension is to get the unmatched elements of the two vectors
suggest me changes and thanks in advancce
    ashok
The problems comes from the fact that you remove
elements for a Vector while iterating in a loop where
the upper limit as been set to the initial size of the
    Vector.
You should use so while loops with flexible stop
conditions that would work when the size of the Vector
    changes.
    Finally: why don't you use Vector.equals() ?

  • Downloaded new format yesterday and now when playing music the sound is low for first few seconds of each subsequent track. Is this a bug?

Under new format when playing music each track after the first starts in low volume then kicks in within 3 seconds. very irritating. is this a bug?

I'm having the same issue on my iPad (the "new iPad" / 3rd gen with retina display and 30 pin dock connector) after downloading iOS 7 (is that what you meant by the new format, updating to iOS 7?).
The music will play quietly for a few seconds then it will play at the volume it's supposed to.

  • When I open gmail the account that I want to come up doesn't. Even when I put the account in manually and check "stay signed in" everytime I open gmail the account that I don't want comes up. How can I fix this???

When I go to gmail the name of one of my accounts and the password are already written in. I don't want this particular account to be the "default". I want another of my accounts to be the "default". I can't find out how to fix this situation. Going into settings on these accounts doesn't seem to help. Basically I want to undefault one account. Help. This is very frustrating as to get into the account that I want I have to write the account name and password in manually every time. I'm so frustrated that I will stop using Firefox if I can't fix it and go back to Safari which I really don't want to do.

Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten passcode:
Restore (and reset passcode) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring iOS software - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected (or the device was never connected to a computer) you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:
iOS: Unable to update or restore - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 - recovery mode (e.g., cannot connect to computer last used to sync device, iTunes still asks for a password)
If recovery does not work there's:

  • Pavilion dv7 only some of the sound comes out me headphones

This problem has been happening since I bought my HP Pavilion dv7.  I can play a game by myself and the audio will come through the headphones, but if I am in a skype call, only the call goes through my headphones and the game audio comes out the internal speakers.  Is there a way to fix this?  And did I do something wrong in the first place?
    Thanks.

Sorry if I am being rude, but I have been waiting 2, almost 3 days, with no answer, but most others above me have gotten an answer.

  • Does the iPhone 5C outer body melt or disfigure when kept in the sun?

I found that the bottom right corner of my 5C had somehow changed its shape and i have no idea how that happened. So please can someone tell me and will it be covered by guarantee?

iPhones do not melt in the sun, even the 5C. If you leave a phone in a car in the heat, it may turn itself off if it overheats. But the casing melting.....no.

  • Since I updated my iPhone on iOS 5, the sound coming out of the speakers and the headphones has gotten worse. Any idea how I can resolve this problem?

I don't know what happened to it. I just updated it and now, the sound comes out tinny and overdriven. My setting were just as before, but the sound has become very crappy.
    Any solutions?

You're pressed the volume switch top right side to go up ??
    If that doesn't help ...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    Then try sound.
