HT201412 My ipad mini is stock on a message that the device had not been connected to icloud for two weeks. I cannot get rid of teh message. I can't even power off the device.
My ipad mini is stock on icloud backup and i cannot even power it off. The message says "the ipad hasn't backed up in two weeks. Backup happens when ipad is plugged in". But nothing happpend when I plug it into power or the laptop.
See if this helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Good afternoon! I'm glad I can be here to help with this error. In the device this application is identified only as 'Talk', so that be more familiar to you. First I recommend opening the 'Market' app on your phone, then Menu>My Apps to see if this application requires an update. It will display a list on top of all applications that need to be updated. If nothing exists, tap 'Home' and go into 'Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Talk, then tap 'Clear Cache' and 'Clear Data' to remove the history of that application and stop the notifications. The app will remain on your phone for future use, if you desire to take advantage of it. Read more about Google Talk here

I charged my Ipad last night and this morning there was a message from icloud that it has not been backed up for two weeks. I tried to click the ok but it will not respond. I cannot even power off the Ipad. Does anyone know what I should do?
A reset should help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons and await restart. No content will be affected.

After installing ios7, my ipad buttons stopped working, I can't even turn off the ipad. Please help me. I don't know what to do.
Try to reset the device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the
Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot
normally. -
if my phone says it needs to be restored will it delete all of the stuff i have on it? Such as music i have on an app? The music has not been synced to itunes. Will all my pictures get deleted aswell? My phone is not working for some reason, when i was downloading ios6.1 it crashed or something. PLEASE HELP!!

Any photos in your camera roll, not previously imported to your computer, you will lose. You should be regularly importing these photos, as the iPhone's camera roll is not designed as a storage device.
Had you been regularly syncing/backing up, you wouldn't lose anything. Now you know, don't backup your data, and you will eventually lose it all, guaranteed. -
My I-Pad is locked up with a message that I-Clouhd has not been backed up in two weeks and that the I-Pad must be locked, connected to wireless, and plugged in. I cannot get this message to go away or access other parts of the I-Pad.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

For about 3 month I receive on my iPhone 3GS iOS6 and my iPad iOS5 empty messages without sender and subject in the mailbox BAL but not in the direct mailbox addresses. I cannot get rid of this messages. Can someone help me. Thanks !

Whenever i open iTunes it tells me that 2 of my downloads cannot be completed because the file may be corrupted. I cannot get rid of this message or complete the downloads. Other downloads worked. What can i do to get rid of this warning message or complete the downloads?

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer. -

then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

TS4009 "New" iPad will not unlock, msg on screen "...not backed up to iCloud for 2 weeks..."
The Message is displayed on my iPad's screen saying:

The instructions were easy to follow, and everything is working just fine. (I didn't know about holding down the 2 buttons simultaneously to get it back to the Apple on the screen. I don't think my old iPad did that - maybe I just didn't have an occasion to need it! (My 1st iPad was the ORIGINAL iPad. I'm SO happy to have the "newest" iPad with Facetime, etc. SUCH a wonderful toy! SO much easier to carry than my MacBook Pro! I'm a happy camper, randers4. :-) -
For two weeks I have been fighting to remove yahoo as the search engine with Mozilla Firefox. I am running the newest version of Firefox. I followed information I found online and fixed my desktop. The same information will not work on my laptop. The path was (about:config) (type keyword.URL in the filter box) ( on the string that appears, right click on keyword.URL) (select modify) ( type in the url of your choosing, choices are given) and that is supposed to fix it. It did on my desk top not my laptop.
After months, I think I figured it out...
I was frustrated because I like to use the url bar as my search engine, which is not fixed using the link posted by jadeye.
Try this...
* In your address bar, type in: “about:config”
* Inside of the filter search box, type in: browser.search.defaulturl
* ctrl click and choose “Modify”
* Type in: http://www.google.com/search?lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=
* Do the same process with: keyword.URL and use:
http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=
I think those steps finally fixed it for me. F-ing Blingee / SearchCanvas. What a racket. -
Stuck in phone, can't even power off!
I was just checking my mail, and I went to the phone app, and became stuck! I cannot power off my new iphone 3G - I can only navigate to phone functions (voicemail, favorites, etc. A friend called me (from a new iphone too!) and in the middle of the call we were cut off and she was told that my number was not in service!

If it's showing the connect to iTunes screen then it sounds like it's gone into recovery mode and will need to be connected to a computer's iTunes in order to be reset. Does neither she nor you have a computer, and if she hasn't has she been backing up to the cloud instead ?
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether content is still in the store, she might be able to re-download some/all of her downloads via the Purchased tabs in the App Store and iTunes store apps -

Becky MurphyThere's no such thing as an AppleTV account - Apple does not charge you to use the device.
The only subscription services Apple has are for iTunes Match ($25 a year) which makes your music available on all your computers and devices, and additional storage space for iCloud. (iCloud itself is free.)
Can you post exactly what the message says (do not post your identifying information, account number, etc).
