HT204053 I have 2 apple ID's.One does not exist anymore. How can I remove the one ID. Under my ibooks I cannot purchase any books or update specific Apps because it recognizes our old ID. How can I remove that particular ID?
I have 2 apple ID's on my IPAD. One is no longer in use. I tried to remove the one email address and it is still shows up for example when I want to purchase a book in Ibooks it is showing the old apple ID and I do not have the password. How can I eliminate the old Apple ID?

To change the Apple ID for purchasing, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the ID you want to use. (You will still be prompted for the password for the old ID when updating any apps purchased with the ID.)
To change the ID for FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime. For iMessage, do the same thing in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive.

I set up an apple id many years ago when itunes was established. Within the past year or so, Apple has changed to using email address as user id. My problem is that I have many applications that I can not update due to the fact that it is asking for the password of the old ID. It does not exist anymore. Any ideas on how to get the new apple id associated with the application without deleting the application. Several of these apps I purchased.
You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -
How can I change my Apple ID that is set up with an old email that does not exist anymore
I set up an Apple ID years ago with a hotmail email account. I also deleted that hotmail email account years ago. I now have a gmail email. I cannot back up anything to icloud because of my apple id that is connected to the hotmail email account that does not exist anymore. To change my ID, apple sends a verification email to my old hotmail account which i cannot access, and it also says my gmail account is my rescue account, so I wouldn't be able to change it to my gmail account anyway. Any ideas? I'd like my ID to be associated with my one and only current gmail email account. I have a lot of songs that I've spent a lot of money on over the years that I don't want to lose.

my IPhone is asking me to type in my password for my old Apple ID that does not exist anymore. I cant set up ICloud without typing in a password to a Apple ID that does not exist, so do I have to remove everything from my IPhone and start over?

I have a device that shows up in my airplay device list in iTunes, and on my iPhone that does not exist. How do I delete it? I have OS X 10.10.1 on my iMac, and iOS 8.1.2 on my iPhone 5. I would like to get it out before I add new airplay devices to my network.
I called Apple tech support. The device turns out to be a WiFi extender. I never would have guessed that the extender would show up on the list since I wouldn't think of it as an airplay device, and in the list, it shows a little speaker icon. In the process of talking with Apple, I gained a greater understanding of how airplay works.
It turns out that there is no stored list of devices in a file on the mac, or anywhere else. I have seen a lot of traffic on the web from people trying to modify this list, but there isn't one. iTunes, and other devices simply poll the network for airplay devices from time to time.

We have forgotten the security code question and each time I request a reset it is being sent to an e-mail addres which does not exist. How can I change the e-mail address to my current e-mail address. We have put money onto an ITunes account which is asking for this security question. This has never happened before. I have a macbook Pro which had Mobileme. I have joined ICloud, but my Calendar does not sync. How do I fix this? I do not see an ICloud Icon on my laptop and the software is updated.
This is the situation with Snow Leopard and existing iCloud accounts:
You will be able to access email and calendars on the iCloud website at http://icloud.com provided your browser is reasonably up-to-date.
You will not be able to sync contacts or bookmarks from a pre-Lion Mac.
You will be able to enter the server settings for email manually in the Mail application and access your email.
You will not be able to sync your calendars directly.
Some people have been able to set up calendar syncing by using the method detailed here - this is an unsupported hack and may not be reliable, and may stop working at some future point.
Address Book won't sync: this page has a convoluted hack to make it sync which has been reported as working (and as not working by others). I've not tried it.
There are a couple of alternative syncing services you might like to consider, though they're not particularly cheap:
Soho Organizer can sync Calendars and Contacts with iCloud on Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion. A single user licence (multiple machines allowed) is $99.99.
Fruux syncs Calendars, Tasks and Contacts beetween a wide variety of devices (not using the iCloud server) including Snow Leopard and above, Windows Outlook and Thunderbird, Linux Thunderbird, and iOS and Android devices - see their compatibility chart (click the blue 'i' for a caveat about Snow Leopard). It's free for one user, two shares, two devices; above that pricing starts at €4 per month.
(I have no connection with these firms and have not tried Soho Organizer, though both have had good reports and I've found Fruux to work well.) -
iphone is dead, gone to insurance co. for replacement. They say because "Find My iPhone" is still active, they can't replace or try to fix it. problem is can't log in to de-activate it, cos email account does not exist anymore. How can I de-activate it?

I uninstalled Flash Builder 4.7 using the uninstall app. I'd like to re-install the app, but Creative Cloud says it's up-to-date, even though it does not exist anymore on my computer. How can I re-dowload it?

When I create an event on my mac ical then sync to my iphone, I cannot later edit the event via my iphone. I used to be able to do this before. Can someone please tell me why this option does not exist anymore? I have iphone 3Gs and can't use iCloud due to older running system on my macbook pro.

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card. -
I need to delete a calendar event that transfered to my 4S from my Droid phone. This event occurs yearly. When I open this event, the edit button that normally appears in the upper right corner does not exist so I can't delete it. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. Try resetting your iPad:
Double click the Home button. Slide up with one finger on ALL your apps to close them.
Then, Press the Sleep/Wake button + Home button and hold 15 seconds or until you see the Apple logo.
This will reset your device without erasing data, apps or settings.
