HT204406 Why is it that when I play albums through the cloud on my iphone they play in the wrong order, this has happened not every time, but with alarming regularity?
I have just been listening to an album on my iphone through the cloud, and noticed that the album was playing in an odd order, and whe I tried to adjust to play the album from the beginning again it still took me to what seemed a random track next, and this happened consistently, seems odd heh? ANy clues?
Did the original songs that do not appear on the car player play in the Music app on the iPod? Sometimes glitches happen and they do not. Also, If y ohave a 5G iPod/iOS 7, purchase songs will show with an cloud icon by them if they are not downloaded if Shall All is turned on in Settings>iTunes and App Store

Why is it that when I am trying to install an adobe product, I get 33% of the way through and then it gives me an error "unable to load metafile"?? It happened with Reader and now with Flash player. After I close Firefox I am unable to reopen, I get a message that I can't reopen until I close it, but it is already closed. This is happening almost every time I close Firefox. I have to restart my computer in order to open Firefox.
Same problem here thinking to move away from firefox now

I recently upgraded to FF5 on a windows7 laptop. I havent had any previous issues with system crashes. But within HOURS of installing, my whole OS crashed, and after about an hour of "cannot start windows" the laptop "repaired" itself, wiping all data and a user. I reinstalled, and it crashed again. I want to go back to version 3.16, as I had no issues with that version.
god, i love it when i find answers to my own questions! here is a work-around, not really a fix because you have to run this daemon that constantly performs read operations to prevent the drive from going into low power mode - which seems to be the source of this problem. caution: this will drain your battery if you leave computer awake while not plugged in, but this solution darn well beats the issues i was having before with spinning beachball every couple minutes.. i was going crazy! it only eats about 2-3% of cpu usage and i have not had the problem since i installed this daemon which sits in Library\LaunchDaemons (if you want to remove it later.) also the developer leaves his email in the install file and he is very helpful.

Why is it that when I go to the search screen and type in a particular message I want to view, my iPhone finds it but when I click on it it only takes me to the conversation at the most recently thing texted and not the particular message I clicked on?
Never occurred to me you can search messages that way, thanks.
Another way to do it is to scroll from the most recent message to the top of the screen and tap load more messages, repeatedly till you reach the one you want.
I like your method better, but with both methods it refreshes to the most recent message. -
Why is it that when I change the contacts on my phone, it changes them on my mom and dad's as well?
My family and I recently got iPhones for Christmas. One for my dad, one for my mom, and one for me. We also have an iPad 2. They are all hooked up to iCloud via one username. When we got the phones, we had trouble transferring our contacts from our old verizon phones to our new apple ones but we eventually got the contacts we needed. At first, my mom's phone was not connected to the iCloud account shared by the rest of us and the iPad. She wanted the calendar from the iPad so I deleted the account on her phone and added the iCloud account that the iPad was using. All was fine until my dad and I realized that our contacts were wiped from our phones and replaced with my mom's. I then started painstakingly deleted my moms contacts and replacing them on my own on my phone. However, contacts were being deleted from my mom and dad's phone at the same time. It's almost like the three phones are constantly synching with each other. It would be ideal if we could get all of our contacts back the way they were before my mom changed her account but we would settle for this constant synching to stop. Please give us some direction here, we are new to this. Thanks in advance!

Because, as you said "They are all hooked up to iCloud via one username. ". That is exactly what iCloud does.
You need independent iCloud accounts for each person to maintain independent contact lists. -
Why is it that when I plug my Macbook Pro to an external monitor, the external monitor turns black and shows the mouse only
Hi, yes preferences sees there is a second display it recognises what make of monitor it is etc but I just get a blank blue screen on the monitor when I change it to the hdmi setting! I have tried with mirroring on and off, rearranging the displays in the preference window and lots of different resolution settings but with no difference.
An old MacBook connects fine so the monitor and hdmi port must be okay. I'm sure we have used the cable before but it could have been with the previous MacBook Air. The current one I'm using is a mid 2011 version running lion and is (according to software update) all up to date.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated! -
Why is it that when I connect my iPhone 5S to my Windows Vista computer, the photos made with my iPhone are all of very low quality and most of them are turned upside down?
On another note, the iPhone tells me that it's ''busy'' when opening a photo on the computer.
(I tried restarting my PC, connecting via another USB port, importing using PhotoStream, etc...)Are you using the front or rear camera? When you say they are low quality, are you referring to file/pixel size, or how the picture looks? As far as upside down, how are you holding the phone? Older versions of Windows have issues reading the Metadata from the pictures and will not display the same.

why is it that when I look through the new apps in the apps store in release date mode it returns to the first page after veiwing more information about some apps, I could be ten to twenty pages in and have it happen.
Also, I only speak and read English and although there are probably great apps for people from other nations, I don't want to wade through all the apps that I can't make use of. I expect that people of other nationalities or languages don't want to have to wade through every app that they can't make use of, is there not a way that alI users could filter by language?

Why is it that when I delete an email message from an account on my iPhone it instantly disappears from the same email account on my wife's iPhone? We both have iOS7 and have imap email accounts.

When i try to do a software update, it finishes and then says that the update cannot be saved because it has probably been corrupted during the download. This has happened a number of times and i do not know why, any help?

why is it that when i upgraded to ios 6, my ipad 2 no longer connects to known networks automatically?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Question: why is it that when I email either a word document or a pdf file the receipient of my email get these files in an unreadable format i.e. not in word file nor in pdf file formats, and consequently they are unable to open these files and read them? Thank you!

Because you set both of them up using the same Apple ID for the iCloud account. Don't do that. You should each have your own iCloud account, even if you want to share an Apple ID for apps and music. Odds are, you are both receiving iMessages intended for the other as well.
