HT204411 why is not every song available in a country?

Hi,
I am wondering about why not every song is available in every country, especially in the European Union. I mean, we are one region without real boundaries anymore. But if I get over a "boundary" like Germany and I hear a song overthere, which is there already popular. Why can't I get this song through iTunes in The Netherlands. The Netharlands are not really big and I travel a lot throughout the European Union, but I can not download songs here, because they are not availible in the Dutch iTunes Store.
I think it is a idea and a question. Why not throw away these "boundaries" and create an European iTunes store? Or making things faster available for every European country.
I hope you are going to think about this. This is better for you, and your customers. I think there will be more users, if there is a faster respond to make things available in every European country.

CDs are a physical product that once sold to a reseller can be then resold by the reseller basically anywhere the reseller wishes. The record companies tried to prevent that but were unsuccessful in most countries. The region code system used on DVDs is a weak attempt to control distribution of physical copies instead.
Digital downloads, however, require licensing from the content owners and in exchange for their permission they require that the download stores prohibit cross-border sales. With the content owners often being different from country to country and the differing copyright laws, this makes it virtually impossible for any download store to operate across country borders.

Ilive in Denmark and I wanted to buy "On my Mind" By Cody Simpson and "Skyscraper" By Demi Lovato, but they are not availeble in my country !!!!

Because whomever owns the distribution rights to the music do not allow it to be sold by the itunes store.
The owner of the distribution rights, to the same song, differ in each country.

In iTunes I click on a song and when I click on the "get info" tab, it opens up but everything is gray - locked, therefore, I cannot edit the year or genre of the songs. Not every song is locked, only certain ones for some reason. Any help?

I ran into the same problem, I think that, If you tab on a song that is on your IPOD, and the song data is grayed-out, I think it means that the song is probably twice on your IPOD and that the iTunes directory can not edit THAT song data for two (or more) files @once. Check if this is the case, sinceI have the same problem,am looking for a way to have One and the same song in more playlists but only keep the song once on the IPOD.

You can only buy content from your own country's store - if the music that you want isn't in your country's store then it's because the record company haven't granted Apple a license to sell it there. Is it available on other music purchase download sites that you have access to ?
You can try requesting that it be added to your country's store, but ultimately it's the record company's decision : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

Why is not the E90 available on all the other netw...

I have a Nokia 9500 on the Orange network. I need to change this quickly because the phone is falling to pieces. However orange have told me that the phone is not available to them. I have sent an email to nokia but they have not replyed & this has been over a month ago. I have tried to locate the phone but the only options availabe to me are either to change to the O2 network which i dont want to do because i have been through them all & for me & my business the best network by far is the Orange network. The other option is to buy this outright & sim free but people are charging from £499 up to £650 which is a complete no no!!! please can anyone tell me why the E90 is not available to the Orange network?

This sounds like a question for "Orange" not Nokia forums.
Have you tried on-line auctions to see if you can get one SIM free and unlocked??
Also, It would be worth searching these forums just to check that the E90 will do "Exactly" what you want, or maybe buy another 9500?.
I am not trying to be negative, because I think the E90 most have come from canine decent.... The dogs B......s.
But, this is my 1st communicator, and I am very very pleased with it so far.
I would like to think that with another Firmware release, it will be even better? Flash Lite 3 support etc....
But some previous Comummunicator owners have shown some disapointment with the E90's offerings compared with the 9500 on these forums.
It is not a cheap device, so making the right choice is worth a bit of research!!

Why do not every picture/video AirDrop back to the time it was taken?

I have a 64GB iPad and a 16GB iPhone. Since my iPad has way more storage than my iPhone, I wanted to transfer photos and videos from months ago from my iPhone to my iPad to free up some space on my iPhone. I tried using iCloud services such as iCloud Photo Library (wouldn't let me just transfer photos from my iPhone to my iPad) and My Photo Stream (I want full resolution photos on my iPad) but they seemed too complicated Or wouldn't achieve what I want (iPhone pictures/videos transferred to my iPad. So I decided to try AirDrop and when transferring these pictures/videos I wanted them to still have the dates they were taken so things don't get mixed up (A picture of me swimming in the summer next to me skiing in the winter). However when using AirDrop some pictures would go transfer to their original dates while others would go to the bottom of my photos not being in the time period they were taken. Is there anyway I can fix this so that ALL my photos/videos being transferred over AirDrop will go back be within the time periods they were originally taken? Thanks all feed back is much appreciated.
if your unsure of what I want to achieve with AirDrop, an example would be wanting a photo taken back in September to not appear at the bottom of my photos in January.

Can you play music on your phone, while not connected to anything?
- If yes, check with support for your car. Maybe the radio cannot rexognize the iPhone anymore.
- If no, check your pc for free space.
I don't work with W8, maybe it denies iTunes the ability to write files.
Think there has to be made some libary file for the files that are on your phone.
Maybe you are able to download some files you bought in the store to your phone directly. Could try again in your car then.
If you never bought a file, there is a free weekly song every week.
Only have to fill out you membership details.

Why aren't my songs previously playable on my iPad/iPhone (tho not purchased directly from iTunes) no longer playable on my devices?

Why aren't my songs previously accessible on my I/Pad 2/iPhone 4s devices in "Music" appearing in faint print & graphics no longer accessible? I had downloaded them into iTunes on my PC and previously synced them. Suddenly after recent syncing they were inaccessible. Why? (I previously downloaded an IOS_5 platform to my PC to use iCloud. Was working until recently.)

I too am having this problem. Its really frustrating. In fact i have my setting to have all music on my phone however the phone displays I have 2986 and the itunes reads 2987. I'm one off on this area. In addition some of my purchased music does not show in my purchased list on the phone. It does show on the itunes account on the computer and in the overall albums just not in the purchased. I drug the purchased song from the albums to the purchased playlist and tried to have it re-sync... did not work.. I tryed re-booting the phone, and restoring from back up all failed.
Another problem I have found since the IOS7 updates is the phone doesn't keep my music where it was when I get out of my car. I used to love that I would get out of the car in the middle of my playlist go in the store come out and it would pick up right where it left off. Now I get back in the car and it begins playing random music of all my entire library. I love all my music however I don't want to listen to Christmas and Halloween music all the time. I don't want to remove these from the phone as I want them always available. I just want the function to go back to how it was.
Oh and the last thing, sometimes when I turn my phone sideways and am listening to music the collage of albums shows but freezes so I cant turn the phone back and change the music. I like having the capablility of turning the phone to see pictures and things auto turn but not this collage of albums if it's gonna delay me swictching or skipping songs.
Any ideas for these issues? Is apple aware and working on these?

If it is not available through itunes for your country ( Which will be the content providers descision not Apples) Then you will have to source it from somewhere else or wait patiently

Every Song I try to access of what I have already purchased I get the dumb message that "this computer isn't authorized, please sign in to authorize."
Well, I'm already signed in but I play the dumb game and then it says THIS COMPUTER is ALREADY authorized
If its ALREADY AUTHORIZED why do I need to do this stupid b.s. authorizing my computer.
And its one song at a time. If I need to do this with each selection I bought then its not only stupid its outrageous.

There is something wrong with iTunes. I have the same problem...a quick search and I am seeing a lot of postings out there....there validaation software is not working..
There is workaround out there that requires you to delete an SC folder...but it does not work.

Have you actually selected them to be synced to your device from the iTunes sync settings.

I dragged my ext. HD iTunes backed up folder into my new mac. Now there are duplicates of every song!! The problem is both versions seem to actually BE there when I check the info. Now I have no idea if iTunes is playing the files in the trash or not

So, I moved what I thought were duplicates into the trash from iTunes, and resigned myself to the fact that I would have to do this manually for each album. I did this with about 10 albums. I emptied the trash and lost them even though they still LOOKED like they were in iTunes. I repeated the process tonight on a bunch of other albums not realizing yet that I had screwed up terribly the first time. This time I saw what had happened and pulled the files out of the trash, onto my desktop and dragged them back into iTunes, then deleted the duplicate files that had exclamation points next to them. Now I have no idea if iTunes is playing duplicate files from the trash or not, and am nervous about emptying the trash. Anyone dealt with this before? Thank you

I compose an iMessage with the destination as my email address and I attach 2 photos I want on my PC. I send them several times from my iPhone 5C but they never arrive. I look at my ipad later and realize that it's iMessage app is getting ( and swallowing) these emails. I then turn the ipad off. Still can't get the photos through because iphone is now getting them on it's iMessage. I turn off the iMessage feature and try to send photos from text msging. Phone tells me it can't send photos unless iMessage it turned on. What happened to regular MMS text messaging? I go and try to send photos as an email attachment and see that there is no option to attach from the stupid email program. I look up online to learn about the brave new world of apple attachments and send them.

The email program on my iphone is not configured to remove messages from the server.
If iMessage is turned off I don't have the issue.

Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.
