You should have a search box at the top right of iTunes :
When you are browsing the store that box searches the store, when you are looking at your library it searches that.

I save batches of records from an info source and need to give them memorable names as I download them, so that I can find the correct record again easily. Currently the system just calls them, e.g. wrlb, wrlb[2], wrlb[3]. When I used IE, I could type a filename into the dialog box as I saved, but Firefox doesn't seem to have any option to rename. Moving mail to folders - is it possible to type the name of the folder, vs scrolling?
Apologies in advance if there is already an answer to this question in the forums; I searched with every combination of the subject I could think of...
Context: my iPhone 4 syncs with an IMAP mail server. I have lots of folders on the server, and I can see all of them on the iPhone. I know how to use the "file" button at the bottom of an email, to move the message to a folder.
Question: is there a way to "open" the keyboard during the filing process, so that I can type the name of the folder, rather than scrolling through the folders?

For someone looking for help you sure have a funny way about you. Trying to narrow down where and under what circumstances a problem occurs is called troubleshooting. Showing that mail's imap works with gmail and google should al least give you pause to reconsider your out and out assertion that the problem has to be solely with mail and perhaps lead you to look at the possibility of an issue with the interaction between mail and godaddy. Just because someone who answers the phone at godaddy says the problem has to be in mail don't make it so.
You know were all just users here, no one is getting paid. Those of us who try and help users like yourself are doing it to give something back to the community. You don't like my help, fine don't take it but check the attitude at the door.

Did you boot to the Internet Recovery Partition?
Here’s how:
1/ Make sure your computer is completely shut down.
2/ You’ll have to be quick next: Press the Mac’s power button. As soon as you either hear the loud chime, or see the display light up - usually after a second or 2 - on your keyboard press [alt] + [cmd] + [r] Keep these keys on your keyboard pressed until you see a spinning globe with the text “starting Internet Recovery” You might have to connect to your Wi-Fi network before you can continue here.
After a few minutes, you’ll be presented with a Utilities screen. This is the Internet Recovery partition. If this step is already giving you problems, try using a USB-keyboard. It doesn’t have to be an Apple-keyboard. If you have a Windows-tailored keyboard laying around, use the “Windows-flag” key in stead of the [cmd]-key and it should also work.
3/ Choose Disk Utility and click [continue] -
The iPad doesn't seem to want to set up an email for a "group" in my Contacts. When I type the name of a group in the "To:" line of a new message on my iMac, all the email addresses of the group automatically appear. Not so with my iPad. Help?
Apparently Groups are not supported in the Mail App on the iPad. Read this thread and see Michael Morgan's post for a workaround.

When I get a phone call , then want to save the message, no keyboard comes up to type the name. How do I fix that?
You can open the Phone app then tap Recents then the blue 'i" in a blue circle at the right of the number then "Create New Contact" then tap a field such as "First" name and the keyboard should appear.

I apologize for misreading your post the first time around. Dennis is only half correct in this case. The USB-8451 is supposed to show up as a USB-RAW device in MAX, but you do not have to run the driver wizard to create an interface to it. In Measurement and Automation Explorer, select the USB-RAW device under USB Devices and create a VISA alias (I always use 8451) by typing it in the "VISA Alias on My System" box. You should then be able to use that alias for all communication. I hope this post helps a little more than the last one!

Why can't I type the name of a group in mail 7
I can no longer type the name of the group and Mail app 7 will auto fill all the addresses in the group. In order to group mail, I have to select addresses in the toolbar, click on the group, then command click on the individuals in the group and then click To:

If that is the case then you can check the Download Manager (Tools > Downloads) and if that file is listed there then right click that entry and choose > Open Containing Folder. If that entry is grayed then the file is no longer in the original download location and possibly removed by AV software. -
I only see the phone numbers of my contacts when using iMessage on my MAC, whereas I see the names on my iPhone. Why, and how can I make it so I see the names (and pics) on my MAC?
Thanks Eric, but that was already turned on. I just now tried turning it off and on again, no change. Actually, I"m more interested in seeing the names than the pictures. I now only see the phone numbers and generic avatars where pics would be.

Right-click the track in your library, Get Info, go to the Info tab, and type in the correct information. When you are done, click "OK."

I only see a handful, yet there are tons of $1.29 songs.
How do you view all the 69 cent songs - or are there only the couple dozen that show up under the promos for rock and R&B, while there are thousands of $1.29 songs?
I'm not complaining, I just want an honest answer.As far as I can tell most songs are the same .99 they always were.
Since .69 is for back catalog items (translation : they don't sell well any more.) you'd have to start looking there.
Pick a genre and do a search for some of the older songs that aren't in your collection that you want to add. -
My Adobe trial for Photoshop Elements 10 for the Mac was over and I wanted to buy the application. The screen message was "Your trial has expired...but the fun doesn't have to end! Buy now to continue using Photoshop Elements 10 without having to download or re-install. " and then the button "Buy Now". When I hit the Buy Now button I am put in a field to buy Photoshop Elements 13, with no way to change to Elements 10. I do not want to go through the hassle of reinstalling etc. In fairness, it's been over a month since making the decision to buy. Still, I consider this a nightmare. Any ideas on how to buy the app I've got withou having to purchase a whole new one? Thanks.
