No, I'm sorry. If you're seeing that Connect to iTunes screen that means the phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored.
If you can't borrow a friend's computer, you can go to the Apple Store and they will restore it for you.

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

1) Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

While updating the iPhone 5 software from 6.1.3 to 6.1.4, the power failed. iTunes had just finished the backup and was beginning the software update. Now the phone screen says to connect to iTunes but the phone is not recognised when plugged in. Using Windows 7 and phone not recognised by computer, let alone by iTunes.
Any suggestions? Happy to take it off to the the Apple genius people but would prefer to get it running myself.

I started update connected to my work computer....it started update and now it is asking me to connect to Itunes, which I have but my work computer doesn't have my Iphone information, it says I have the latest software, my only option is to "restore phone" which I don't want to do here at work as none of my apps or music are showing up ..... i had a iphone 3gs on contract which ended so i upgraded to 4s. had the 3gs cleaned as a second phone for my partner. i then allowed the sync between the 2 so whatever was on mine would be on the other and vise versa. this meant the contacts was aswell so i deleted them not knowing they would be removed from both, i then tried a backup to icloud to restore the lost canotacts instead it seemed to clone my new 4s from my old 3gs and now the features on the 4s wont work. music and tunes have been lost along with all my messages

Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off. -
Tried updating to the new IOS and now the phone won't work, suggestions?
I tried to update the newer version of IOS on my Iphone 4S. After the update an Itunes icon and the adapter appeared on my screen.
I tried restoring the phone but it erased all of my data and now I can only take calls. I can no longer make calls and or send or receive text.
