Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • My iphone 4 was working fine then said it had no network when tried to make a call now it wont work when try to switch on it say connect to itunes so done that then what??

can some one help with my iphone 4 not switching on , well it show swipe to switch on wich says configure , when swipe it says connect to itunes.
so hae done that but then what??

Try holding the sleep/wake and home button til the phone turns off then turn it back on using the sleep/wake button. This resets the phone. If you still have trouble connecting to the netwok then try Settings>General>Reset>Reset network settings. This should clear it up. If not then try to restore your phone using itunes.

My daughter (honestly) forgot her passcode to her ipad 2 and she is now locked out.  It states:  iPad is disabled connect to itunes.  When I connect to itunes it tells me to enter my passcode.  How do I get fix this?

Here is a kb that describes what to do.  Go to the section that says "placing your device in recovery mode"

This will "nuke" the device....as iPaqd26 said, it's best if you can remember the device pass code

help, got locked out and cant connect to itunes to redp password

The only way to access the iPhone is by entering the correct passcode. If you cannot remember it or have disabled the iPhone then you will need to restore to factory settings via recovery mode as shown in the article below:

  • My Ipad is displaying IPAD disabled connect to itunes. No clue what the password is and when I connect to itunes it says must unlock to connect to itunes. Have never connected to itunes.

    Please help!!!!

If you've forgotten the passcode to unlock the iPad then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode in order to be able to reset it : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If you do it via a different computer then :
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
Or do you mean your iTunes account password ? If so : http://iforgot.apple.com

You need the usb cord to connect it to iTunes so it can be restored, as explained under "If you have previously synced your device with iTunes" at the bottom of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.
