press and hold top power button with round home button on the front for 6-8 seconds until ipad restarts.
then make sure you initiate a backup soon so the alert doesnt come back.

I have Empted Cache but doesn't seem to help.

From the Safari menu bar, select

UPdate download does not occur. Window shows activity, but nothing happens.

I get a notice that there is an update, but when I click okay to update all the window does is show that it is updating. However, nothing happens. There is no indication that it is corresponding with the server. I have downloaded the update, but it will not install.

If you have problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.<br />
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
