HT4157 I get "Connection Failed " when trying to access the Account.

I cannot establish a connection when attempting to add a data account with ATT. I received the following message: "Connection Failed - The connection to the server was lost. Please try again later."
I've been trying all day! Any suggestions?
Thanks.
JB

Go to System Preferences > Sharing > Options...
Unshare your home folder and then you can connect. Apparently Lion shares your home folder by default.
Worked for me.

    Why am I getting error 11222 when trying to access the store?

    The 11222s can sometimes be associated with LSP issues.
    I'd try the following document:
    Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
    (If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • Why do I get "Connection failed" when trying to connect to Lion?

    One of our two Macs is running Snow Leopard, the other, Lion. I can connect from Lion to Snow Leopard OK, but not the other direction: when I try, I get "Connection Failed." I can connect as guest however. Ive run Disk Warrior on both machines. No change in behavior. Any one else experiencing this?

  • Bought the Adobe export package and tried to export a PDF to Excel and I can only get "error occured when trying to access the service"

    Cannot get any exports to work on PDF's after I bought the membership? Any help?

    Hi Dylan,
    Are you trying to access the service from Acrobat Reader?
    Try using the link: https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf sign in with your Adobe ID and try to convert a pdf to doc and check if that works for you.

  • "Connection Failed" when trying to access TC that I have already connect to

    Hello,
    I have been connecting to my office network for well over a month now with no problems. Now, no matter what I do, i can not connect to the Time Capsule that provides the WiFi for the office.
    The Office Network appears in the Airport drop-down list and I can select it to connect to it. However, even though I enter the password in correctly, it continually says "connection failed."
    The other computers (all Macs) can connect/stay connected just fine. I have tried restarting both my computer and the entire office network several times to no avail. I have updated all software on my computer. I have removed the network from my list of preferred networks, tried to connect to it again, and I have manually "Join Other Network" all to no avail.
    The same thing happened about 2 weeks ago. Just randomly, after about 3 hours of no connection, it allowed me to connect again. I can connect just fine to any other Wireless Network--Starbucks, my home Aiport Express, Apple Stores, etc... I am limited in what I can do to the Time Capsule, seeing as how it is the Office's and I am not authorized to get onto Airport Utility/change settings on the TC.
    I am at my wits' end with this one.
    My computer:
    1.83GHz Macbook Pro
    1GB RAM
    80GB Hard Drive
    Airport Extreme (0x168C, 0x86)
    Wireless Card Firmware Version: 1.4.3.1
    The Wireless Setup:
    Comcast cable modem, connected to 1TB Time Capsule with latest firmware/software updates.
    Thank you for any suggestions.

    I am having the same problem starting today since my trusty ol' PowerMac froze up on me. I've repaired permissions and the disk.
    Other devices on the network work fine with the same password, but my main machine won't connect!

  • I continue to get error (0x80092013) when trying to access the iTunes Store; even when I don't click it and iTunes is open it will pop up. Now, when syncing my iPod, it says my computer is unauthorized for my Apple ID.

    I have used the same Apple ID and computer for years with no changes even now, and suddenly I am unable to sync my iPod. When I authorize it and log in correctly, I get the (0x80092013) error again, as WELL as error (-50). This is extremely annoying! How do I fix this?

    Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
    Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
    The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
    Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • I keep getting error 5002 when trying to access my account

    Whenever I try and login to Itunes and view my account I get 5002 error. I also at present (02/06/11 @ 19:26) can't download any apps or updates.
    Can anyone advise what is going wrong?
    Thanks
    Pete

    Thanks - From the discussions here people in Germany, France and the US are having the same problem!!! Would be nice if Apple had told us it was down for maintenance or whatever. Rather than a crappy 5002 unknown error message.
    I write software for a living and I would be shot if I displayed that kind of message to users...

  • Error when trying to access the RBAC User editor and Message tracking

    Hi,
    I am getting an error when trying to access the RBAC User editor and Message tracking on the Web Mgmt interface. I verified that the admin account trying to access is in the Organization Management group and has the correct Role Assignment Policy applied.
    I searched through this thread below and saw that matching the msExchRoleLink and msExchUserLink attributes fixed the issue.
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/fc568cc6-8691-4127-b70b-bcc82f9b1f7f/first-2010-cas-server-no-administrator-rights-emc-permissions-gone?forum=exchange2010
    However I have another environment where this is not the case and works just fine; the msExchUserLink attribute has a value of CN=Organization Management,OU=Microsoft Exchange Security Groups,DC=Domain,DC=Local which is different as per the issue outlined in
    the above thread so I am not convinced that this will work and also don’t want to blindly edit something in adsiedit without being sure.
    I then checked the event logs on the server and saw the below error logged;
    Current user: 'Domain/Server Services Accounts/administrator'
    Request for URL 'https://server.domain.com/ecp/default.aspx?p=AdminDeliveryReports&exsvurl=1' failed with the following error:

    I then had a look at the IIS permissions for ecp and owa. The account did not have permissions so I added them there but still got the same error. I’ve also tried all of the above with a newly-created account but still got the same issue.
    Any ideas as to what the above event log is specifically referring to?

    Hi,
    From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
    If you want to search message tracking logs, the account you use should be a member of the role groups below:
    Organization Management role group, Records Management role group, Recipient Management role group.
    Hope this can be helpful to you.
    Best regards,

    Is anyone getting this message when trying to access Yahoo Email?  "Cannot Get Mail, The connection to the server failed?"

    I have Yahoo mail (POP) account.  Mine is working fine at present.  I do occasionally get asked for password while sending mail.  I have had your issue in the past and it usually clears up in a few hours.  Sometimes I sign out and then back in and it starts working again.

  • Why do I get a message 'connection failed' when trying to download an app?

    Connection failed. when trying to download an app

    I downloaded Maverick. I have no idea I need an APP.

  • Why do I get connection failed when logging in on app store on wireless, but Wired LAN works fine?

    I've been having the same issue as many other people. On OSX Lion with latest updates as of 3/20/2012. Tried deleting .plist files, checking keychain access and even reset keychain. I still get the error of Connection Failed when trying to download updates or a new app from the app store.
    I also can't connect to the iTunes "Account" area. It produces an error that the request failed (-1200)
    I finally decided to try a wired connection instead of my wireless. Now it works great! So I removed my wireless network and re-added it. Back to square one. Work around for now is fine, but I should be able to use this over wireless, too!
    I just now tested connecting to a different wireless network (EVO Hotspot) and it worked fine. So it's something specific to my office wireless network. Nothing changed on our firewall (I'm the administrator). It just stopped working.

  • Getting a null when trying to access DateTime fields (that I've added) from my work item

    I'm getting a null when trying to access (custom) DateTime fields from my work item.
    I've got a customized work item with 'extra' string and datetime fields.
    <FieldDefinition name="Design Version" refname="XXX.DesignVersion" type="String" reportable="dimension" />
    <FieldDefinition name="Date Closed" refname="XXX.DateClosed" type="DateTime" reportable="dimension" />
    This code fails:
    WorkItem workItem = workItemStore.GetWorkItem(workItemId);
    var tt1 = workItem["XXX.DesignVersion"];//works
    var tt3 = workItem["XXX.DateClosed"]; //tt3 == null, fails also for html fields
    Any idea what's up? thanks

    Hi TimB,
    Thanks for your post.
    What’s the version of your TFS?
    If you open this work item in VS, there’s no date value in your Date Closed field? Please try below code snippet:
    if (wr.Fields["XXX.DateClosed"].Value
    == null)
    Console.WriteLine(wr.Fields["XXX.DateClosed"].Value);
    else
    Console.WriteLine(wr.Fields["XXX.DateClosed"].Value);
