If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.
Additionally, your 24 hours don't start until you begin to watch the movie, you have 30 days to start watching the movie. -

I am trying to erase all contents on my phone, I am trying to get it back to factory settings, I don't have any jailbreaks or anything like that on my phone, The circle thing has been running for six hours now, is this normal? Before I did that, I tried to do it through itunes, and it would not restore it through there either? Im at a loss?? That took only like 5 min before it says sorry it could not be restored. It sounds like you are trying to restore the phone to its factory defaults but the process is stalled or the phone is totally unresponsive.
If the phone will respond to the Sleep/Wake button, I would turn it off the normal way, then turn it back on.

When it turns back on try the Erase All Content and Settings option again.
If the iPhone is completely unresponsive and will not turn off normally, I would reset the device with this process from the above article:
If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Configure your security software
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.
Common errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.

I'm updating from my iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5 and have been 'restoring' for 2 hours now and the progress bar still states I hae 6 hours remaining. Will it really take this long? How long should a restore take? It's a 32gb device. Thanks.
I am having this problem. At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2. I am not sure why this is happening.
My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
The problem mainly occurs with apps. I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them. The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage. It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup. With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up. The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete. This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
I have been wondering if others have had these same problems. -
I am totally ignorant when it comes to these products and devices. I have a ipod shuffle, 4th generation. I want to find music, without purchasing a song on itunes and then copy it to my shuffle. Is this possible. If so, where do I find the music and how do I get it to my shuffle. I have been trying for 3 hours and about to give up. Please help me.
Yes, of course. iTunes was around before there was an iTunes Store. And I think Apple cares MORE that you purchased an iPod, and LESS about where you get your music to play on the iPod.
You can buy music the "old school" way, on CD, and "rip" them into your iTunes library using iTunes.
You can download/buy music from other sources, as longs as the format is MP3 or AAC, and don't use copy protection (DRM). NOTE: iTunes Store music downloads do not use any DRM.

They offer a utility called Amazon MP3 Downloader, which automatically places your downloads into your iTunes library.
If the source just provides you with the downloaded song files, all you need to do is open a window showing the files or the folder containing the files. Run iTunes and select Music in the sidebar, under LIBRARY. Then drag the songs files or the folder containing the files from its window to the iTunes window, and drop them there. iTunes will add the songs to your iTunes library.
Once the songs are in your iTunes library, you can automatically sync or manually load them onto your shuffle.

I'm using an airport extreme and I keep getting the "Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while copying files to backup volume. The solution on the website is try try again. Its been trying for 5 days now. Now what? Obviously something else needs to be done.

Is this TM you are using? TM to airport extreme connected hard disk are known to be fragile at best.

I have been trying for 24 hours to network two W 7 and a Vista Pre. The one W7 and the Vista can open anything the last W7 will NOT OPEN ANYTHING.
I get error code: 0x080070035 over and over and over.Not sure if this will help or not. I was trying to network W7 and XP a few weeks ago. I had been trying to name the network with my own name on both computers. Nothing worked until I changed the network name to the default xp network name for both computers. Then it all worked fine.

I have been trying for an hour to delete all of the photos from my iPhone 5. I have googled it several times and there doesn't seem to be a solution. Have tried deleting them from my PC. One at a time deleting is impractical - I have 1000 photos! Why isn't this easy and intuitive?
When you hooked up to your PC did they attempt to import? Had you imported them previously and not deleted when the import was complete?
If you have to delete them directly on your device, you need to press the select button and just keep selecting until you have all of them selected, then put them in the trash.
You do not need to select one then trash it, then select another then trash it. You can select as many as you like before clicking on the trash icon.

I had itunes downloaded but i needed to update it inorder to transfer music to my iphone 3g. It would not let me, after several trys i just uninstalled it. then i went back and tryed to download the newer version. I clicked download now and it went to the page saying it has downloaded. So then i searched the progams and it was not there. At the bottom of that enternet page it asks if having trouble click here. I clicked and it said to change pop-up settings to medium, so i did, still does not work. i change it to low, still nothing. I have been trying for 3 days now. please help.

I've rented several movies over AppleTV, but can not download. I get a message "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later. " i've been trying for 3 days now... anyone with similar problem?
I have the same issue, to temporarily fix it go to Settings > General > Restart. When it restarts the movie should play. You have to do this for each movie for the most part.
