I have completed the new update to my iPhone and now can't get past the iTunes logo on my phone, all my music is on a computer that is now not working, how can I fix my phone to get past this??

I agree on the updates, I wish it wasn't automatic. I completely, totally agree.
Keep in mind, you can't complain about having CM7 messed up from webOS updates. CM7 is not supported on this hardware by HP. CM7 is all on you.
There was no webOS upgrade in your case. The upgrade was stopped midstream, possibly damaging the TouchPad.
I asked 'why did you do that', because I actually want to know why in the world anyone would ever stop a firmware upgrade. It's like teasing a crocodile with chicken meat and wondering why it bit your hand off. You seem to know your way around technology, so I can't understand why you'd stop a firmware upgrade. I'm sure you know how dangerous that is. I did, in fact, provide a constructive suggestion. But not a solution, because I don't know of one. I haven't run across anyone who stopped their TP's upgrade process midstream. I am sure it's happened before somewhere, I just don't know about it.

In need of some help, my Ipad turned off two days ago. I pushed the home button and the start to reset. Now it shows the Itunes logo with the connecter cord and an arrow. I plugged it into my PC, and there was an update for my Ipad. Waited the three hours for the update and disconnected hoping that everything was fixed. Would not turn on again so held the start/home and it still shows the Itunes logo, and when I plug it into my PC, Itunes will no longer open. I live three hours away from the nearest Apple store and would like to get it fixed at home if possible.

Did you expect iTunes to start automatically or did you start it yourself? Start iTunes and then connect the iPad.

Recent photos may be in your Photo Stream or in your iCloud backup if you chose to enable those backups.
If you were only backing up through iTunes and didn't complete a backup recently, then your photos are gone.

iOS 4.2.1 is the latest for the iPhone 3G.

Have you tried resetting the device?
Hold down the home and lock buttons until you see an Apple Logo, then release the buttons.
If that doesn't work, you should check to see if you have a backup because you may have to restore your device.

Let's start with what you are trying to install. Adobe Reader is free, so it won't be forcing you to buy anything. So
- What are you trying to install (full name, please, Adobe make lots of things)
- What system (e.g. Windows 7, Mac OS Lion, iPad...)
- Where do you go (what web address) to start off?
- Why were you "forced" to do this?

Are you sure you don't have a 5G iPod video? If so, rented movies are not compatible with that particular generation/model of iPod.
Otherwise, it sounds like the rental is in HD. It should have came with a Standard Definition version instead.

Claudius,either you didn't read my post, or you jumped to conclusions. I had a skype account that was created using a microsoft account (NOT THE ACCOUNT I AM USING NOW). PURE MICROSOFT ACCOUNT NO OTHER ACCOUNT LINKING.I had to change the primary mail of that account.I was told "no can do" by skype support.I found that if I went to account settings and clicked on the link on the line below the one that said "MICROSOFT etc" (labeled something along the lines of "TV or Device") I got the opportunity to set the password of the "live:username" account (WHICH YOU COINCIDENTALLY HAVE TO DO IF YOU WANT TO USE SMART TVs ETC).Once that was done, I COULD SUCCESSFULLY DO WHAT SKYPE SUPPORT SAID WAS IMPOSSIBLE- I could change the primary mail address. once that was done, and NOT BEFORE, I linked the account to a facebook account as well, just to be sure I have more than one way to access the skype account. The screen is telling you to connect the iPod to a computer with iTunes via the USB cable. iTunes should open and give you instructions. If not, open iTunes and retore the iPod via iTunes.

Yes, so what's confusing... Did you not restore the backup of your data, contacts, pics, apps, music, etc. to the new hard drive after you replaced it or reformatted it or whatever you did? If so, then you can just sync your data back.
If not, please try searching the forum. This has been addressed hundreds of times here.

Updated my iPad and can't get past agreeing to t&c as the part on my screen where u have to agree is broke. Is there any way around this or will it only be resolved when screen is fixed?

Try a device reset and start over again with the setup.
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
Re-reading the post, I now see your issue more clearly...can you rotate the screen (be sure Orientation Lock is disabled) to have the "agree" tap-able section in a different physical place (out of the bad section) on the screen so the bad part of the screen will be in a different area? Give that a try.
