iPad 1's can only be updated to IOS 5.1.1. The iPad 1 doesn't have the processing power to handle any higher.

Are yo both using the same APple ID for FT (settings>FaceTime> You can be Reached At) anbd are you calling the other person using the the same email address or phone number that is listed there on both devices?

How can I deactivate Adobe photoshop elements 9 when its un-installed? I told my husband I had to get it off the third computer but he trying to help me did not deactivate it before he un-installed it!!!!
Now what? I am only using this on 2 computers and I'm told I am using it on a 3rd and I'm not.
How can I fix this?
It wont work on the 3rd one anyway because its so old and limited it crashes every time I try. But I need this on my 2 good computers.

One way could be to reinstall it on the third computer and then deactivate it and uninstall it.

I'd recommend to update to the current Aperture version 3.2.2 first, if you have not done so already .
If you then still have problems to upgrade your library, try some diagnostics:
Show the Activity Window in Aperture: Window -> Show Activity Shift-⌘-0
Launch a Console Window (Applications -> Utilities)
and check, if you see any warnings or error messages in the Console log and identify, where Aperture stalls.

How can I recover music from my ipod when its in 'need to restore' mode?

basically, my friends ipod is a old ipod classic and has about 7,000 songs on it and most of them are backed up in the ipod hard drive (like going to the ipod on my computer and organising the files there)
about 2 weeks ago certain songs would crash and the ipod wouls have to be restarted by holding menu + pause then not listen to that song, after a while of this it makes a loud clicking noise whenever it was turned on and all i see is the apple logo for about 5 minutes then it comes up with 'connect to itunes to restore',
once i manage to connect it to a laptop (it has always been annoying to connect) i restarts itself a couple of times, then shows ' connect to power screen ' and at this point the laptop hasnt recognised the ipod yet on itunes and my computer after reconnecting it a few times it will connect and start charging, itunes says that the ipod needs restoring and i cannot open it in my computer as it says i need to insert a disc and also the ipod screen doesnt have the red 'do not disconnect' symbol the screen is black and white and the symbols are a bit smaller and it looks like a disc mode or something? sorry i do not know what to refer to it as
the problem is i need to restore my ipod to help fix it and access my thousnads of files as many of the songs i could not find again, but i cannot get into any of files anyway
i was wondering if there are any ways i will be able to recover my files before i restore it as i have tried some recovery programs but my ipod never shows up on them but if a restore and update was necessary to recover files
by the way my friend borrows my laptop to put music on her ipod which she then deletes from my files afterwards and the ipod has been switched through different computers which the songs have been deleted from anyway
any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you!!!!!

You will have to use a third party soft such as disk aid (digidna.net/products/diskaid) or iexplorer (macroplant.com/iexplorer)

How can I include results of a subsequence, which runs in a new thread, in the main sequence test report

I', m working with TestStand Version 4.2.1. I have a main sequence, which calkls different subsequences. All these steps are properly reported. One of subsequences runs as "new thread". How can I include its results in common test report of the main sequence?
I have markes variables of the subsequence as it is requred for test report (it works OK if it is not a new thread). If the the numerical test, which is executed in this subsequence is correct, I get no results at all. If the numeric test failed I get somewhere in the main sequence report a "red message", that test failed whithout any reference to the step or values of vaiables which were not correct.
I tried an option "On the fly" in the Report Configuration , but haven' got any useful results. What shall I do?

Hi,
I tried it but without success:
1) I got a reference to the Thread as "Locals.Step1=RunState.Thread" for every of 2 steps which start a thread
2) I put both "Waits" after steps with (and without) threads, at the same place, where they were before
3) The sequence run OK, but when it came to Wait for Thread 1 it waited for ever, I had to terminate sequence
Does it mean, that I got a false reference (suppose No - please, have a look at attached pic)?
Or does it mean, that Waits are badly placed in the sequence (threads are already terminated)? Here is a pic of sequeces calls with Wait after them.

How can i get my 1st gen airport back on line?

I use my airport express with iTunes to send music to my stereo.
I have done this for the past 4 or 5 years.
The other day i noticed that it wasn't working and upon inspection found that the power to it had become unplugged.
Plugged it back in to power and got a blinking amber light.
Went to my MacPro and the Airport Utility (6.0) could'nt find it.
Booted into another drive that didn't have the 6.0 update and it still would'nt show up.
Tried all the prescribed methods of resetting the unit, still no luck.
Tried with my iPad2, no luck there either.
Nothing has changed hardware wise since it last worked.
Can the AP be connected by ethernet to my computer and be reprogramed?
Do I say goodbye to it and buy another?
On another thought, what has happened to the speellll checker?
Has anyone turned in a bugggg report on this?

How can I separate playlists from different libraries when two or more users do login in the same computer?

We've got two computers. I access my iTunes on both of them. I've got an iPod nano. But another user access his own iTunes account in one of these computers. He's got an iPhone. When I login in this one, I share all my playlists with him, and vice-versa. How do I do to separate these libraries without deleting one of them?
