You should be able to restore the iPhone, just connect it to the computer and open iTunes.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed and take a look at this, if you run in to a problem.

After downloading ios7 on my iPhone 4 overdrive isn't working correctly ...not going into iTunes . It is going into a file instead.

Previous to ios7 overdrive woud transfer to mp3 baudioooks to my itunes and then to my iPhone 4. Now it is putting them in a file that I can see but not access the book. Any suggestions?

It could be that overdrive needs to be upgraded by the developer to make it compatible with iOS 7. contact the developer.

Ever since I downloaded the new version a few days ago I get full screen popup ads whenever I try to open a new site. It's INCREDIBLY annoying, and sometimes there is no icon to close them. WHY, why would Firefox allow this?

I don't HAVE any more details. Whenever I open a new site, I get (so far) one of two full screen advertisements. Most of the time there is the word "Skip" in the upper right hand corner, but on occasion that is not there, and there no way to get beyond the ad screen except to go into what they are trying to sell you. It is imposing and obnoxious to the nth. This has only happened since I downloaded the latest version (I think the BETA 4) 3 days ago. If this can not be resolved, I want to go back to the older version.

If you haven't already done so, you might want to go to control panel>uninstall, right-click on iCloud on the programs list and select Repair. Then restart your PC and try photo stream again. Since downloading ios7 onto my iphone 4, I no longer receive text (or game) notifications. I do if my phone is in use, but not when the screen is dark and the phone is idle. If I click the top button to activate the phone, a text will be present on the screen before I unlock it, but there will have been no visual (screen activating with text in view) or auditory (text chime) alert. Has anybody else experienced this problem? If so, how did you resolve it?

I feel like such an idiot. I just figured out that when exploring the new control panel, I accidentally turned the Do Not Disturb function on. I've turned it off and all is well again.

I am assuming that your PC has internet access. Otherwise this will not work.
Start iTunes
Connect phone to PC using charge/sync cable
iTunes should recognize your phone and check to see what version of iOS it is running
iTunes should recommend updating your phone to the current version of iOS
I always click download only and wait for the file to download
Once that is done do a full backup of your phone
Then eject your phone and disconnect it from the charge/sync cable
Reconnect phone to charge/sync cable and wait for iTunes to recognize your phone
When iTunes suggest updating your phone to iOS 7.1.2 click OK and then wait for it to finish updating.

The calendar however, is not easy to use.
The typing function on the phone has become even slower. Have to wait for each letter to show on screen.
