HT4623 MY i-Pad (iOS 6.0) mapping program freezes on a screen that blocks about 75% of the map. How can I reinstall an AP that was a part of the operating system that came with the i-Pad?
My i-Pad (iOS 6.0) mapping APP does not operate properly. Is there any way to reload iOS 6.0 to get this APP back to normal operation?
YOu would need to do a restore in iTunes.

You don't. Since you have an Intel Mac, buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store.

I have Adobe Photoshop CS4 and have just upgraded my Mac operating system to Yosemite with the newest version of Java 2014 running. When I try to access Photoshop from Bridge or directly open it asks for a Legacy Version of Java 6. As I am a pensioner I cannot afford an upgrade does anyone know of a work-around for this problem?

CS4 Photoshop has not been tested on Yosemite. But still you can try the Java 6 update using the below link.

My MacBook Pro originally came with Leopard. I have the OS and Applications disks for Leopard but I cannot find my upgrade disk for Snow Leopard. I would like to perform a clean install of Lion on the new hard drive and restore some data from my Time Machine backup. I am not looking to restore the current image to my new hard drive. I have not yet removed the exisiting hard drive nor have I wiped my data.
The only way to do that is to buy a New SL Retail DVD. Or you could buy the Lion Install USB thumb drive from Apple for $69.
You must have SL installed to then install Lion or have a thumb drive with the Lion installer.
You could also create a Lion USB Recovery thumb drive using Lion Disk Assistant. But you need to have Lion already installed and the Lion RecoveryHD Partition on your drive to make the Recovery thumb drive.

I get a warning message in Lr saying I need to update my camera raw to 7.4 and have done so. No change though.
That's impossible. CS4 only supports ACR up to 5.6 and LR 4.4 equals ACR 6.7.

I recently purchased the newest nano. I have 3 other nano's and iPad iPhone, oh and iPod touch. When I plug in nano to my mac I get the message "iPod cannot update because it contains files that are used by another application. How can manage this?

It means that nano was used on a third-party software or synced from different computer to sync music. Does that nano show in iTunes? If yes, then restore completely. If not, then you may need to head to Apple Store and see what they can do.
