When I try to update my apps on the phone, a message says that my account is not valid in the U.S. and I must switch to the Canadian store. But HOW???? No trouble updating my similar ipad apps.

I was receiving the same message. I had to uncheck the box that allowed me to sync my phone to my computer (PC) via wi-fi. After that, I have not had any problems. I am speculating that this issue is probably related to the wi-fi problems people are experiencing with iOS 6.

Generally this is a sign that the iPhone had previously been
hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
Where did you acquire this iPhone?
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

Lately when I've tried to update the software on my phone, the software will download to my computer and at the very end an error message will pop up saying that the network connecton timed out, even though I was on the internet still. I have then tried again only to get the same results. What can I do to stop this from happening?

After moving from Canada to the US, getting a new iPhone 5C, and restoring my backup from iCloud, I can't update my apps. I get an error message that my account is not valid in the Canadian App store and I must change to the US store. How do I do that?
Change here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
You must have a verified billing address & be located in the country whose store you are trying to use. -
When I try to update or install apps on my iphone 3gs, it tells me my apple id is disabled, but when I log in on my pc it lets me. Any ideas what to do?
Try signing out, then back in on your phone: Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in. If that doesn't work, reset your password here: https://iforgot.apple.com.

When I try to update my iPhone 3Gs thru iTunes, to the latest OS I receive an error message that says: "The net conection has been without any response within the limit of time.Please see your net settings or try later". I checked my internet settings and all is OK (I have not any proxy connection). I tried lots of time to do this update since some weeks till now and I always have the same error message. Joao Aguiar.Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.
