Nightmare scenario, MobileMe is transferring photos, even though I've already made the transfer and freezing iPhoto at the same time. I cannot stop the transfer. Help!!
Quit - or force quit - iPhoto.
Then relaunch. When the "Mobile Me has ended" panel appears press the "Learn More" button, not the "o.k." button.
Then you should be able to open the Preferences in iPhoto and and open the "Accounts" panel. Remove "Mobile Me" from the iPhoto Accounts.
Then also open the System preferences > Mobile Me panel and sign out of Mobile Me.
If this does not work, try to disconnect from the Internet before you launch iPhoto again.

I am trying to open pptx files on my MacBook Pro and continue to get "No Text Converter is installed for this application" even though I have dowloaded several converters that were supposed to work and I just downloaded Apache Open Office 3.4.1 with no luck. Well, I'm not exactly sure. I suppose they may know if you have or have not purchased it since you are probably signed in...Or they figure it's an old enough program, and few enough people know about the serial number, that they don't care too much.

Applw TV cannot "see" my computer even though I have verified that both are set to the same home sharing account. The router works OK as Netflix comes through as does access to music.

Try setting the Energy Saver to "never" and uncheck "put hard disks to sleep when possible". You can allow the screen to sleep after any suitable time.

You can change the phone number the verification code is sent to from a device or Mac that has your iCloud keychain enabled as follows:

you have to go to your atv's settings and remove the sync setup with the in the atvs eyes "old" computer
before you can add the "new" computer as a sync computer
an atv can only be set to sync with 1 and it don't know the "old" computer is not just off -
Hi guys,
This problem showed up a few days ago. Even though I have turned on the 3G and the cellular data, my phone tells me there is actually no connection. But the network indicators shows a maximum network. I went to the genius bar and they fixed it by restoring the phone and it started working again. Then I restored it at home with my back up. Today, it started again: network issue. And the problem does not come from the network (I have tried my sim on another iphone with the same carrier). It really does come from the device.
Any ideas ?

As soon as Bell Email opens, the corner symbol continues to turn and then closes my email web account. Usually hitting the ESC keys stops this but not always. I just upgraded to the new Firefox and am still having the same problem. This does not happen if I log onto my Bell Email account through Internet Explorer. This is unique to Firefox.
Freezes and system crashes should be virtually non-existent with a new machine (assuming it has not been polluted with bad third party software). If this were happening to me with a new machine I would return it.
