HT5637 itunes match isn't working on my ipos iOS 6.1.6.  It was working last week.  What's up?

Two weeks ago iTunes match was working.  Now when I go into the music app, it just shows a cloud with a blank bar under it.  I can't play any music.  Any ideas?

Same issue.

iTunes Store: Troubleshooting iTunes Match
Yes, ad nauseam. I've used Match on an iPod Touch for almost a year. Today, however, I cleared out the library on the device for a fresh sync with Match and now cannot seem to get the device to pick up anything from iCloud. Like jdfog, I see only a cloud on the screen with an empty status bar which disappears after about 30 seconds. The iPod is on-line, Match is turned on (and off and on and off and on) in iTunes and iPod, and I've power-cycled all devices / router. I've also updated Match three times. The iPod has 5MB free.
My iPhone 5s shows Match running perfectly, so it must be some sort of conflict on the iPod.
Two questions: Should Home Sharing and/or iTunes Wifi Sync be toggled on or off with Match? Could either of these functions be preventing a Match library from displaying on the iPod?

  • ITunes Match isn't working

I updated my Apple TV to 5.0 and everything works as before except iTunes Match.  When I'm in the Music Tab, it says it is "setting up your Apple TV to stream music from iTunes Match.  This may take a few minutes..." The spinning gear is spinning away for 14 hours and nothing.  There is an "OK" button, but when pushed it just returns me to the main menu.  I have Home Sharing turned on, and I can stream music etc from my computer no problem.  And I have previously subscribed to Match and it appears to be working on my Mac.  Help.

I'd reset the ATV. There's reset option under the general setting menu. If that doesn't work restore the ATV using iTunes

  • ITunes match isn't working with new Macbook Pro

    Hello everyone,
I have had iTunes Match for years with no problems on any device mobile or otherwise. I just purchased a new Macbook Pro w/Retina. I unboxed, powered up, and updated all software. I set up the Macbook with my one and only apple ID and logged into iTunes with the same ID.  All of my purchased music is available, however when I go to turn on iTunes match I get this error: "THIS COMPUTER IS ALREADY ASSOCIATED WITH AN APPLE ID. You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 90 days.". After this I have no other option but to close the window. I have tried logging in and out and restarting the computer but have had no success. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

How can I fix my iTunes Match?

    Hey cros87by,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with iTunes Match. The following resource may provide a solution:

  • HT204406 iTunes match isn't working

Ive been using match for several years with no problems. However, it doesn't seem to be working now...songs are not adding to the cloud, and my iphone isn't adding any new songs because of it. I let match run overnight, but t was always getting caught up in step 2.....apple indicates that I have the latest verions of all software.

There seems to be an ongoing problem with it - not that Apple have admitted anything - see here:

  • Just "Erased all data and settings" on my iPhone, and now it won't reboot! "restoring" on iTunes also isn't working! Now what?

I'm still stuck on the Apple loop hole, no idea what to do now!

See if you can force the phone into recovery mode:
Try turning the phone off using the Sleep/Wake button, then the slide to power off. If you are unable to do that, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When your phone turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons. Then, leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.

  • ITunes help isn't working - anyone know what to do?

When I open help in iTunes I get the usual template but it's blank. If I type in a phrase in the search box it will show the rotating bar thing to show it's busy but never comes back with anything. I get the same thing in Mail as well. has anyone come across this? Tried a search of this discussin group but didn't see anything.

As the problem exists also in other programs, it might be a corrupted preferences file.
Go to ~/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences and trash the following files:
    com.apple.help.plist
    com.apple.helpui.plist
    com.apple.helpviewer.plist
I suspect the first one is the culprit, but it does no harm removing all three.
After restarting 'Help', the Helpviewer makes new ones.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT204406 Since updating to ios6 on my iPhone 4S iTunes Match has not worked. The app stays open for about five seconds before crashing. With ios5 it was great and worth paying for. Now it is utterly useless. Apple, please listen and fix this problem.

Ever since I updated to ios 6 on my iPhone 4S, iTunes Match has not worked.
I have been through the process of deleting my iTunes control files, and that worked temporarily, but now I cannot listen to music through the service.
It shows my artists and albums, then takes forever to access the songs (often more than 10 minutes - and yes, that's using WiFi), more often than not crashing before it gets to that point, then repeatedly crashing when I try to open the Music App, so I can't even access things I've downloaded.
Has anyone else found a solution?
Apple, please listen up - I am paying you for the iTunes Match service that is utterly useless. Fix it please.

After some troubleshooting, I decided to order a new battery.  I replaced the battery and was then able to get it to restore, however--after I restore it and it comes time to restart the phone, it gets stuck and doesn't turn on.
Sorry, your repair ruined the iPhone.
She does not have apple care and even though she loved this device, she isn't going to buy another iPhone because of all the problems shes had with this one (it's just over a year old).
After you ruined the iPhone with DIY, Apple won't touch it anymore. You should have asked before all these had happened.
I'm an android user myself and I love rooting/flashing new ROMS, so if jailbreaking her phone or doing some kind of super-restore with 3rd party programs might help, I'm all for it-
Yeah, all Android user can think of is Jailbreaking, read this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3743

  • ITunes match does not work on my iPhone 4S, but is working across all of my other Macs and iOS devices.  All other iCloud services are working fine on the 4S - any suggestions?

iTunes match is not working on my iPhone 4S; it works awesome across all of my Macs and other iOS devices (iPad 2, iPod Touch 4g x 2, and my wife's iPhone 4).  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

It is not possible to "toggle back and forth" at will. If you associate a device with an Apple ID and you have iTunes Match enabled you must wait 90 days before you can associate it with another Apple ID. See this Apple KB article for more information: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

  • ITunes Match No Longer Works With iTunes 11.1.4.62

After upgrading to iTunes 11.1.4.62 for Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, my iTunes Match no longer works.  It insists that I pay for another subscription even though I have a valid subscription already.  Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?  What can I do to remedy this problem?

So I'm guessing that there is no fix for this error?  I see that this patch has caused complete disaster for not only me but for lots of other people as well.  Tell us how to fix our issues or release a new patch!

  • 4th gen touch and iTunes Match no longer works

I have a 4th gen touch, and iTunes Match no longer works - I choose it in settings, and it just turns itself off a few seconds later - it worked before, and I had to restore the iPod, and it doesn't work any more.

    Hi randy_m,
If you are having issues with your iPod touch turning off iTunes Match unexpectedly, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPod -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPod as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • ITunes match update not working

So iTunes Match updating stopped working a couple of days ago. I have tried all manner of troubleshooting, including deauthorizing / re-authorizing my machine, rebooting, rebooting my router, turning off and don iTunes Match, etc. The update process sto[s where iTunes is "Matching your music with songs in the iTunes Store..." and never completes. If I wait long enough, sometimes I get an error - 3231, but that doesn't always happen. I have added one song to iTunes that simply will not sync to the cloud, and as a result, I cannot get it onto my devices. I have seen some other posts on this problem recently, but nobody has answered with a fix. I think it is a bug in the iTunes app, or in the cloud service.
Anybody have any ideas on how to fix?

Same problem - gets stuck at Matching your music with songs in the iTunes Store, though I don't get any error message. This has been happening for three days - I've authorized and deauthorized, rebooted, reset PRAM, etc. Redownloaded the music and still not working.

  • HT204406 iTunes Match is not working on my iPhone 4S after installing iOS 6.  I finally see a list of artists, but the songs are all empty and will not play, and no play lists are present.

iTunes Match is not working after the iOS 6 install.  All music that was previously downloaded is gone.  When the "Music App" is opened, I see a picture of a cloud, and a progress bar that goes nowhere.  Then it goes away.  No playlists are present.  It shows artists, and albums, but all songs are empty. Nothing plays.
Is there a fix for this, or are the Apple Servers simply totally overwhelmed, and this is a matter of being annoyed and patient until it finally connects.
    Thanks!

    Same issue for me.
Some further peculiar things I noticed:
Directly after updating to iOS 6 I had to switch on iTunes Match again (iPhone settings). Then I realized that my music was gone (as described above).
Under settings -> usage one could see that the memory space was still occupied by the huge music library (i.e. there where only 9 of 64 GB free). This changed after several hours. Now there are only 9 GB used, the rest is free. So the library is really gone.
Since then my iPhone continuously downloads some unknown data from the internet (even if all apps are closed and I deselect the use of mobile networks at the several menus in the settings). All apps are closed. The iPhone gets hot and downloads something. It downloaded nearly 400 MB in the last 48 hours via mobile networks. (I got a flatrate, so I don't really care about the data.)
Does anyone know what this means? Thanks for any help!

  • TS1368 My Itunes match is not working right, it was only able to download 50% of my songs and now I can't play the balance songs.. it's so stupid

My Itunes match is not working right, it was only able to download 50% of my songs and now I can't play the balance songs.. it has messed up my enitre music library

    Hello Carpathianna,
No judgment here on the music you listen to, I have that song too in my library. If iTunes is telling you that the song is missing and you purchased it from the iTunes Store, then just delete it from your iTunes library and then download your song again.
