HTML/js alternative for pinch & zoom? Sencha?

I'm trying to implement pinch & zoom into images, and don't want to use the problematic Pan&Zoom overlay built-in. Does anyone know of an HTML version of this? Has anyone used Sencha Touch within DPS? (Which could probably be used for a nice pinch&zoom feature.)
I've found more complex things, like an html implementation of panoramas, but nothing simple like pinch&zoom.
Thanks

National geographic has a great pinch and zoom map in html in their 7
billion folio.
Don't know wich library they are using though ...

  • Alternative for HLS HTML streaming trough JW player for users without Flash?

    Hello!
I am using HLS TS Streaming trough JW player for the largest group of users that have flash for streaming video's.
Is there an alternative for users without flash?
    Best regards

    I will just summarize myself...
Adobe media server supports rtmp and HTTP(HLS and HDS)..
for rtmp streaming the swf running in a Flash player is the standard interface...that flash player may be an activeX control/plugin in your browser or may be a standalone player downloaded from adobe website...Chrome web browser however users a slightly different( PPAPI based) flash player(which is different from Adobe flash player) and is developed and maintained by google.
For HLS and HDS, you can either use special players(i.e swfs)(Flash based) developed Adobe by Adobe e.g Strobe meida player(Open Source Media Framework Blog | Adobe’s free and open source media playback system) or you can use players like jwplayer(Video Player Download | JW Player Online Video Player)... Incidentally jwplayer has added simultaneous support for playing rtmp streams too(which is reallly good), but i do not have much insight into workings of jwplayer...

  • Pinch zoom on Synaptics touchpad?

I have a Synaptics touchpad that supports nearly everything, according to this, and I would like to configure it to get pinch zoom working. In Windows pinch zooming works, so it's not a hardware issue. How would I go about doing this? Ideally, I would like it to emulate Ctrl+scrolling, so it could work on Chromium and Gimp.

WonderWoofy wrote:I have never heard of this "touchegg" before, so I am unsure of what it does.  But this is probably what you are looking for https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=41592 .  There is also xf86-input-multitouch-git as well as xf86-input-mtrack-git.  Do a search in the AUR for xf86-input
Those are the X (low-level) touchpad drivers, but an application (window manager or standalone) is also needed to translate gestures to actions/commands.
    - Touchegg is a QT program
    - Easystroke is a GTK-program
Both pull in huge amounts of dependencies (100-200MB) to do something quite simple, so they are generally not what you want when using DWM.
The most simple solution i have come across is this Perl approach:
    http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/opens … index.html
Which is more or less a proof-of-concept, it uses a high-res timer module from CPAN for accuracy. I haven't tried it myself so i don't know how well it works, but it probably requires more work since it doesn't have a spiffy UI with settings but is a hardcoded script.
Ideally you'd want a really simple/small utility that lets you map context-aware gestures to commands. For instance:
    [Window: Chromium] 2-finger swipe-left == Mod1-arrowleft
    [Window: generic] 3-finger swipe-up == exec dmenu_run

  • Folio inconsistencies with pinch & zoom

I Am having an inconsistent pinch & zoom reaction in my folio. Some times PNZ will work immediately on a page and some times it will take up to three tries. the same page can have different reactions when you leave it and come back. double tap always works immediately on page load.
The problem is the same whether the folio is in Content Viewer, ether published or unpublished, or built as an app from App Builder. The reaction is slightly faster on my iPad Air then on my iPad mini (non-retina).  I cannot recreate the problem with Bob's March of Dimes app. So, I'm guessing it's the folio/articles.
THe articles in folio are from a print project built in Indesign. The print catalog contains a mix of graphics from Photoshop and illustrator.  The articles have four layers (top-to-bottom) header, content, search, and footer.
Header - a button for the search MSO and a hyper link
Content - type, graphics, and hyperlinks
Search - MSO with an HTML overlay
    Footer - text and hyperlink
    THe folio is about 80mb.
I Have exhausted my range of why this is happening. Any insight would be appreciated.
    THanks
    Joe

Yes, I am having the same issue. Anyone have any answers?

  • V2.2 - can you pinch/zoom images now?

    Hi there.
I was reading up on the enhancements made in iBA v2.2, and I found this video, apparently done using some of the new features.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U25WObqa3XQ
Now, about 1:32 into the video, you see the user tap an image, and pinch/zoom it. It displays zoom percentage, and it doesn't rubber-band back to the screen size when the fingers leave the tablet. Also, notice that there are no 'title' or 'caption' bars (which in normal images annoyingly pop up even if an image has none).
How do you reckon this is done? I am hoping its something new in 2.2 (which I haven't downloaded yet), but I fear it's HTML running in situ, auto activated.
    Any thoughts?

    Hello Mac_F,
Just to add one additional point to the topic.
Images for me would not enlarge and zoom until the option in the Widget Inspector window was selected.
Then once selected in the Inspector the image is scalable with the iPad environment.
    Regards,
    Nigel

  • Problem with Pinch & Zoom

Hi there, I have set up my folio with multiple articles, each with a horizontal and vertical orientation. I imported each article seperately as PDF format. When I view on my iPad the pinch & zoom only works on the first page, but not on the rest. However, if I set up a folio with just horizontal orientation and PDF format the pinch & zoom works on all pages. Is this a bug or is there something else I should be doing to enable pinch & zoom on all pages?

Yeah, I think this is a bug. I encountered this error.
I need to wait for a long time to bundle my folios and after that zoom didn't work, so i need to rebundle again, still dont work.
What i do is get the first page(with working zoom) and put it in all the stacks folder, and bundle it. It work, then I need to copy paste all the correct pages in each pages and rebundle it again.
Got so much work and time consuming, not very nice.
I hope Adobe will fix this, their updating the functions to worst. I just noticed.

  • Vertical Pinch Zoom with Logic 9 & Lion

Trying to figure out an easy way to do a vertical zoom in Logic 9 and Lion
Back in the old days (last week) when I used logic 8 and lepoard, it was easy with cntl up/dn (or something like that, my fingers know the routine)
The pinch work fine for horizontal zoom with the new setup, but how do I do a vertical zoom?  (The old cntl/up thing doesnt seem to work any longer.)
    Thanks!
    Geoff

    Greetings,
So far, everything seems as stable as before.  Which doesn't actually mean its rock solid, but otherwise workable.  I'm running a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24DSP with beta audio drivers.  So far, everything is running well.  I decided to jump into the 64bit work environment with Logic.  I have yet to encounter huge problems with the 32bit audio bridge.  Just making sure I bounce everything that is 32bit.
As for everything else within Logic, I can't say I hate Lion.  Matter of fact, Lion seems buggier than Logic at the moment.  Logic handles well in Lion, but Lion on its own overall is a different can of worms.  I am mixed about a 10.7.1 update.  Usually, it fixes something on the OS, but breaks something else in Logic.
I have faith that Lion will turn out to be as solid as Snow Leopard.  SL was my favorite OSX so far.  Lion still leaves allot to be desired in terms of stability.
Again, answer to your question:  for me, Logic and Lion play nice.............for now.
    LGK

  • How do I disable pinch zoom?

I just bought a 17" MacBook Pro Unibody, I was very happy with it at first. Unfortunately whenever I use Safari the trackpad thinks I am trying to zoom in on the page, but I am not. How do I turn this off, in the control panel it just shows a video of how to do it. I have watched myself use the trackpad and I am not pinching the trackpad, I am trying to scroll down but instead it zooms, all the time. Is there anyway to turn this off, if not I'm just going to return this computer, it's very irritating.

get the program: MultiClutch (free, but please donate as it really takes care of some serious issues).
With multiclutch you can add safari and reconfigure the pinch zoom shortcut to something irrelevant like Shift + alt + cmd + ^ and that will disable the accidental pinch zoom.
Also there is a plugin for Photoshop that disables accidental rotating! Again free, from Adobe.
Now all I need is the option to ignore if I rest my thumb on the trackpad where there used to be a click-area on previous MBP's...

  • Logic won't pinch zoom, but I really want it to! How can I correct this?

    Hello,
I recently got a new hard drive put in by apple when I brought my mbp in for a simple headphone jack repair.  I have used migration assistant to get Logic working again on my new hard drive, only now for some strange reason the "pinch zoom" function simply will not work.  It is actually incredibly frustrating! Is this normal? I can't seem to figure out how I can get this pinch zoom feature working again in Logic... any suggestions???  Thanks so much for the help!!!

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file ''cookies.sqlite'' that stores the cookies is corrupted.
You can rename (or delete) '''cookies.sqlite''' (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete '''cookies.sqlite-journal''' and '''cookies.txt''', if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

  • ER: HTML Applet tag syntax warning - or HTML syntax checker for JDEV.

    Hi,
I just spent ages (an hour or two) debugging an applet and it turned out that I had left a comma "," out of my 'archive=..' parameter of the 'applet' tag in the HTML :-(.
E.g. I had <applet code="x" archive="a.jar b.jar, c.jar, d.jar"> and IE simply didn't load 'b.jar' so I got the usual 'class not found' exception. After signing every jar and putting every jar in every directory I finally noticed the commas between some of the jars.
I can understand IE not helping me load an Applet since, from MS's point of view, that is evil Java code, but JDev must know the syntax of a HTML applet tag too so it could highlight the error for me.
Alternatively does anyone know of a HTML checker plugin for JDEV?
    Regards,
    Simon.

I've been looking around for a HTML syntax checker and there are plenty around - just google "html validation". None so far have picked up the missing comma in my busted applet tag. I guess with a missing comma it just looks like a file name with a space in it anyway.
I still think JDeveloper could flag semantic errors like this at development time.
    Cheers,
    Simon.

  • Is there an alternative for Adobe Flash for Mac & Firefox

Running Mac OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard with Firefox 13.0. Was notified that I needed to install Adobe Flash/Shockwave to see video content.
Have loaded and updated to the newest version as of last week but Firefox has become buggy, freezing up but my pointer will still move. I continually get requests from Flashplayer to store data on my machine. Continually get error messages that I have to click DISMISS and the it works normally.
Just a regular PIA. I have uninstalled Flashplayer and the problems disappear but I cannot access a lot of content, especially videos.
IS there any alternative for Mac?
    thanks,
    Rob

  • Pinch zoom is often getting stuck and going to the full extent of zoom since Yosemite upgrade

Are any other users experiencing an issue where pinch zooming is broke since upgrading to yosemite?  When I use the two-finger pinch zoom, the zooming often seems to get stuck and keeps going after I lift my fingers.  Whether zooming in or out, the zoom will often continue to the full extent of zoom capability in whichever direction it started.  Tapping on the trackpad while it is in runaway zoom has no effect and I just have to wait for it to finish, then resize things manually.  Is anyone else having this problem?  I did a fresh reinstall of Logic but that didn't help any.

  • My pinch zoom-in and out in my Macbook Air isnt working. Help!

Can someone please help me.. my pinch zoom in and out in my macbook air isnt working. It happened about 2 weeks ago, in the settings all the zoom preferences are checked so i dont know whats wrong with it. The pinch zoom is the only thing not working, the double tap zoom and all the rest of the capabilities of my trackpad are working properly. I called apple but they couldnt help through the phone and wants me to pay $19.99 for a one time help.. Please help!

I've also noticed that the iPhoto zoom is erratic. Sometimes I try to use the trackpad to zoom, but the image just blurs for a second instead of zooming in.
I experimented a little and found that it helps, when zooming in, to make sure that your two fingers are very close together when starting.
