Html portlet to display Flash  -  Problem

Hi
I have created a HTML Portlet ,and the html consists of one flash (swf file).
Iam running that portlet on weblogic 9.2.
But the flash is not displaying in the browser.
Please Suggest
Srinivas

Thanks for your help. I am trying to do it but it's still not working.
Check this out, just by glancing at the below code, do you think that flash is able to read it? I read in the help that it's only capable of a few tags. Basically I am trying to put this code into a page to display:
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="400" height="300" data="http://vimeo.com/hubnut/?user_id=matttstubbs&color=00adef&background=000000&fullscreen=1&s lideshow=0&stream=videos&id=&server=vimeo.com">    <param name="quality" value="best" />        <param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" />        <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" />    <param name="scale" value="showAll" />    <param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/hubnut/?user_id=matttstubbs&color=00adef&background=000000&fullscreen=1&s lideshow=0&stream=videos&id=&server=vimeo.com" /></object><br /><br />I put <a href="http://vimeo.com/matttstubbs/videos">videos I create</a> on Vimeo. You can see <a href="http://vimeo.com/matttstubbs">my profile</a>.
Thanks.

  • Html Portlet links displaying in another portlet on the same page

I have seen similar posts but no detailed explaination of how this is done.
I have an html portlet with links whose content I would like to display in an inline rendering portlet on the same portal page. How can I pass the link url from the html portlet to the inline rendering portlet?
    Thanks,
    Robyn

If your environment is fairly static, you can handle this easily.
The link in your HTML portlet must refer to the page URL of the portal page on which the HTML portlet resides (which changes from portal page to portal page), to which you need to append the parameter that your "inline" portlet (under which I'm not sure what you mean) reads:
<a href="http://<portal_page_url>&my_param=value">click here</a>Is this close to what you're willing to do?

  • Help with html code for displaying flash animation

    hi all,
i'm new to the forums :)
not sure if this is the correct section or not.
i run a small web based community for xboxlive players and i
am trying to add an interactive flash file into a block on the main
    portal page
    What
the file should do- link to sample file
    link to swf
file- link to actual flash file
    homepage - link to portal
homepage where the flash file needs to be, if you scroll all the
way down the bottom of the page you will se it sort of works but im
stumped as to how to get the full animation to show properly ?
any help would be most appreciated.
    cheers

hard to say just what the issue is here, since the file
operates normally in other embeds - I guessing that it has
something to do with your BB settings somewhere.

  • Conditional display HTML Portlet

Hi all, how can I conditionally display HTML portlet? I have a couple of html portlets on the page, but I want to use the page para to control the display of them. For Java/plsql portlets, it's fine. I don't know how to do that for html portlets. Any advice or suggestion is appreciated.

we want to embed the part of html in to portlet at run time. portlet has a single navigation parameter defined (for run time)
so for example, i write a jsr portlet and then I drag the portlet from resource catalog (composer) on to the webcenter page during run time. and then we would pass
www.xyz.com/index.html as a value of navigation parameter to the portlet. and portlet would consume this index.html.
problem is what is the attribute within portlet which would get binded and finally consume the index.html at run time ? is it
    src = .......... ???
    is it file = ......... ??
    is it url = ........... ??
    what is it ?
we are not using UCM so entire Content Presenter taskflows is useless for us
if it is say src = ... attribute, then we were not able to PASS the index.html TO src attribute as Navig Param at run time.
remember, even if we able to pass index.html to portlet .............. then we do not want portlet to show index.html URL but rather would want to show the content of index.html (which is "Hello There, Greetings from the server") to show.

  • Importing from Eudora problems - html messages being displayed in plain text and problems with attachments

    Hello,
I hope you can help me. I've imported all my emails from Eudora into Outlook 2010 but I have a couple of problems.
All emails that I've imported which had attachments with them have a notice on them saying the attachment has been blocked. I can always browse to the folder whereb my old attachments are stored, but this is still inconvenient.
Secondly, all my messages that I've sent in the past (html) are being displayed in plain text, which is making them difficult to read because of all the html tags being displayed.
Also with emails that I've sent in the past- there is no record of any attachments being sent with messages which I know had attachments with them.
Any ideas? I've trawled google and had no luck except finding programs that cost $70 that can import everything properly.
    David

    David:
I know this is a very old thread, but did you every figure out a way to fix the formatting of imported Eudora mail?
I just "upgraded" from Eudora to Outlook 2010 ...
and have 10 years worth of HTML formatted e-mail that now shows up as plain text with embedded html formatting ...
apparently it is a long-running problem that has roots in the way Eudora formats messages ...
Outlook and other e-mail clients all seems to have issues with importing and do not properly recognize HTML-formatted messages from Eudora ... very sad that I can no longer really "read" my old e-mail at this point ...  :-(
    See closing paragraphs here:   http://its.uiowa.edu/support/article/2800
Same problem over at Mozilla going back 10+ years ... not sure if they fixed it..........

  • How to display current user using HTML portlet

    Hello,
Is it possible to show any text such as Greeting, Current User (ex, Hello, Kevin) using HTML portlet. Can I use <oracle></oracle> tags to get the current user from the API?
    Please suggest me.
    Thanks,
    Satish

Thanks for your suggestion. There is also another way for this:
In a Portal text field (CMS item) you can type
#USER# to display the username of the authentificated user or
#USER.FULLNAME# to display the full name.
    Thanks,

  • HTML E-mail Display Problems?

I had never seen this before, but it has now happened to me twice today. I received HTML e-mails from two different senders, and the last part of the text (HTML code) was displayed ABOVE the beginning (and some of the graphics). After a period of time (hours for one of them), it displayed correctly (why it suddenly displayed correctly at that point is beyond me--I can't figure out if there's a trigger for it). This is a Gmail account, if that matters, and it's an iPhone 3G with 3.1 installed. Any ideas?

Looks like there is a common theme there. It is probably just that the original message has been corrupted somehow. Some mail clients try harder to understand corrupted data than others. I can't really tell from your original post. With mail messages, you really need to have the original data, not copied and pasted and not forwarded. If you have such a mail message, save it as raw source, put it into a zip file, and e-mail it to me. I can tell if it is an Apple Mail problem or a MS problem. If it is an Apple problem, I can file a detailed bug report on it. You can find an e-mail address for me by Googling my nickname.

  • Display header of HTML Portlet

    OS: Windows 2000 5.00.2195 SP1
    Portal: 3.0.9
I create a new page, and add a HTML portlet to it. Then I edit the page (via 'edit page') and choose not to display the HTML portlet header. This works perfectly.
But how can I show the header again? There is no customize link available anymore, and via 'customize' of the page I see that the header is already displayed.
Can anyone please help me with this? Thanks in advance!

The best way to do this is to simply use the "Edit Defaults" link for your given HTML Portlet (this is displayed when you edit or customize the portal page in question.) In the "Edit Defaults" customization screen for the HTML portlet you can either enable or disable the display of the portlet header for your HTML portlet.
You'll always be able to access the "Edit Defaults" link for your HTML portlet from the edit or customize screens for the portal page.

  • Do I need to drop Mozilla since they can't seem to solve the Adobe Flash problem?

I have followed every step suggested to fix Adobe Flash crashing problem. Is the real solution to just drop Mozilla and switch to Chrome? Seem Adobe Flash works just fine there...

By the way, it would be useful if you could mention which settings you have changed. The headline suggestions for working around Flash problems usually include the following:
    (1) Disable protected mode (Win Vista and Win 7 only)
See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?]
    (2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
    (A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    (B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
    (3) Check for and resolve conflicts with Firefox add-ons (e.g., using Safe Mode or a clean profile)
    (4) For display issues with scrolling, disable Smooth Scrolling and Autoscrolling here:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced > General

  • Safari 3.0.3 doesnt display flash images

Ever since i updated Safari to 3.0.2 and then 3.0.3, i have had problem displaying flash images such as the Yahoo logo at the top of the Yahoo page and Youtube videos.
anyone of a solution to this or why it is happening?

How to view/hear pretty much everything:
Assuming you already run OS 10.4.9 or above and have Quicktime 7.2, and are using Safari 2 or 3, download and install (or re-install even if you already had them) the latest versions, suitable for your flavor of Mac, of:
    RealPlayer from http://uk.real.com/player/
    Flip4Mac WMV Player from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/wmcomponents.mspx
    Perian from http://perian.org/
    Adobe FlashPlayer from http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash
In Quicktime Preferences, under advanced, UNcheck Enable Flash, and under Mime settings/Miscellananeous only check Quicktime HTML (QHTM).
In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them).
The world should now be your oyster!
You should also have the free VLC Player from http://www.videolan.org/ in your armory, as this plays almost anything that DVD Player might not.

  • Edit HTML Portlet (WWC-00000)

    Hi,
If I try to EDIT my HTML portlet I get a nice WWC-00000 error, no other error number or whatsoever.
    portal version: 9.0.4.1.0 (Build: 205)
    Suggestions?
    Thx B

    Well the problem is:
    "WWC-00000: Normal, successful completion
Cause: The operation was successful if this message is displayed by itself. Unexpected errors may have occurred if other messages accompany this message.
Action: None, if this message is displayed by itself. If other messages accompany this message, review the information in those error messages and take corrective action."
There are no other messages but the WWC-00000...the completion is far from succesful because I can not edit the portlet.

  • How to display flash controlbar while playing videos on Oracle Apex 3.2.1?

    Hi,
I´m developing an APEX application that displays Flash videos on a html page.
I could display the video, but without the flash control bar (PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, SOUND VOLUM, etc).
I´ve created an HTML region on a page with de following code:
    <body>
    <embed      src="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#lixao.swf" width="440" height="280" controller="true" align="middle" quality="high" loop="false" name="player" hidden="false" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    controller="true"
    pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer/">
    </body>
Could someone help me and explain what´s wrong with the code above?
    Best regards,
    Sergio Coutinho

    Couple things here..
Please change forum name to something more friendly..
Please when posting, include such information as database version, APEX version
Also, I do NOT believe you need to include the <body> tag when building your region....
Modify this with your required paths and file names:
    <object clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload. macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,16,0"
    width="400" height="200" id="stage1" align="" >
    <param name=movie value="stage1.swf"><param name=quality value=high>
    <embed src="/i/flash/stage1.swf?clickTAG=f?p=&APP_ID.:9:&SESSION.::NO::" quality=high width="400" height="200" name="stage1" align=""
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">

  • Yoga 2 Pro issues: display flashing, no recovery from power saving, blue screens

I believe I've narrowed down a problem with the machine not coming out of sleep mode, and maybe blue screening. There is a new version of virtualbox that I've installed and it is suppose to help.
    Issues still present
    1) I have found the screen to become corrupted where it flashes on and off. I end up doing a hard reboot to fix the issue temporarily.
    2) Sometimes (when virtualbox isn't running), the display goes into powersaving mode and doesn't recover. I had this issue with Linux installed (kubuntu 13.10) as well as with windows 8.1.
    3) Rare screen corruption where the display jumps for a split second and then goes back to normal. This is very rare. It may happen 3-4 times a day but I use this system for development so this is scary and unacceptable.
    Any input would be appreciated!
    How I reinstalled Windows 8.1:
Installed windows 8 from UEFI media (with an old/supported wifi USB), updated, installed 8.1 upgrade, then installed drivers
    Drivers installed:
    bt, dptf, tp, emw
The default Windows 8.1 drivers included the full intel driver set. I've considered upgrading, but these issues were present before I reinstalled Windows 8.1 w/ UEFI media and I had the full driver set from the lenovo website installed at the time.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I spoke with support for quite a while today.
It is not sleep mode that is causing the machine to become unresponsive. If you disable "turn the display off after", then it will go to sleep like normal. If you have "turn the display off" enabled, it crashes and neither goes to sleep, nor allows the display to turn back on.
If I close the lid it goes to sleep, and opening the lid wakes the machine up again.
I installed the chipset driver from the support website, rebooted, and reenabled screen blanking in power settings.
I have been unable to get the machine not to wake after screen blanking and sleeping. I set it to 1m blank and 2m sleep and it goes blank and recovers if I hit a key. If you let it go 2m, it sleeps and recovers as intended. I'm very releaved as I did NOT want to return this.
The power management issue seems to be resolved by reinstalling the chipset driver from the website.
I'm going to see if I still have the display flashing issues anymore. Perhaps it is solved as well!!
    Thanks Lenovo!
EDIT: I spoke too soon!! It just did it again.
