No. FW's HTML is good for prototyping but unless it is being
set up by
someone amply familiar with HTML already, it would not be
suitable for
production work. However, if you are asking if FW 'wizard'
code is
comparable to DW 'wizard' code (i.e., the mess produced by
LAYOUT MODE use
in DW) then that answer would be that neither are suitable
for production
work.

Personally, I think you need to stay away from the job. The
job itself is
ill-conceived in my opinion (java for flash rollovers), and
could be more
than a non-coder could manage effectively.

  • How to create a new web service project of Weblogic 9.2 on Eclise ?

    Dear experts,
I have to use weblogic server 9.2.2 and eclipse as my developing environment.
But when I execute eclipse->File->New->Project->WebLogic Web Services->Web Service Project.
I can't see the choice for weblogic server 9.x in the Target runtime field.
Even I download the additional server adapters, the oldest version is Oracle WebLogic Server 10gR3 (newer than 9.x).
So, how can I create a weblogic server9.x web server project on eclipse ?
    Thanks,
    James Tung

    James,
Which version of Eclipse are you using? Do you have Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse installed? Which version?
According to the docs, OEPE 11.1.1.6 (the latest of this post) supports WLS back to version 9.2.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15315_05/help/oracle.eclipse.tools.common.doc/html/index.html
Make sure that you have a WLS 9.2 Server Runtime defined.
    Window->Prefereces->Server->Runtime Environments
Add a BEA System, Inc WLS 9.2 server runtime and make sure it is pointing to the right place on your file system and try creating your Web Service project again.
If you still have issues, try the OEPE forum.

  • Web Module Project and Javascript file

    Hi,
I have developep my Web Module Project. Now i want integrate in the project a javascript file and call it from a html
file or a servlet. How can I do it??? In which folder of the project I have to save the javascript file??? (ex. script.js)....There is a tool in NWDS to manipulate javascript file???
    THANKS

    Hi,
You can place the js file inside webcontetnt folder itself. If there are lots of files, then create a folder called JS and paste the file inside this folder. Then you can use this file from JSP like this.
    < script language="JavaScript" src = 'script.js'>
    or
    < script language="JavaScript" src = 'JS\script.js'>
Generally, JS files can be opened using notepad or wordpad from NWDS. There is no specific tool for it. Hope that answers your query.

  • Open a Local File located in a Web Dynpro Project

Hi, I'm trying to open a file saved in a new folder called (XSLT) created by me in a web dynpro project.
When I try to do this, the following exception is thrown:
...java.io.FileNotFoundException: F:\usr\sap\DEP\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\XSLT\sad.xsl (The system cannot find the path specified)....
The code that tries to load the file is the next:
    Document xslDoc = dBuilder.parse("XSLT/sad.xsl");
My Question is: what should be the file path that I should use in order to be able to open a file that is saved into a folder inside my Web Dynpro Project, of course, using a relative path...
    Any ideas???

    Felipe,
Classes from custom folders are not included in build.
You may place "xslt" under src/packages and acces them via ClassLoader, i.e.
    Document xslDoc = dBuilder.parse
      this.getClass().getClassLoader().getResource("xslt/sad.xsl")

  • Help need in Web Browser Project

    Hai,
I am doing a java Web browser project which was fully java code. I want some information ragarding to that project. First I used JEditorPane for displaying HTML Content. But it was not executing JavaScript. My friend told that JEditorPAne was rendering HTML pages of HTML3.2 version. It wont render Javascript. So try for other things.
I used IECanvas but it just embedding the component of Internet Explorer or Mozilla. I don't want to embed those things. I need java components only. After that I have to do Charecter Encoding on that one. Pls anybody help me regarding to this matter. Its Urgent

    Dear hiwa,
I saw the JDIC API. They told that it embeds some predefined browsers called INTERNET EXPLORER. But I don't want to embed these things. Is there any solution other than this? U saw ICE Browser. it was implemented in fully java having many functionalities. It is third party API. I tried to use that API but they gave 30 days trail period. So I am afried of that. I just want to display the HTML page that supports JavaScript. I saw rhino which is an Interpreter for javascript.
Is there any possibility to embed this interpreter to JEditorPane or any java component. Pls give me details if Possible.
    thanks for your kind information.

  • Help with html files when placing Web Content overlay

    Hi there,
We have an educational app with lots of interactive exercises - all of which were initially designed in Flash.
I have converted the fla files into hmtl using Wallaby. For each fla file, Wallaby creates a js, css and html file as well as an assets folder.
When I place the Web Content frame, and link it to the html file, do I link it to the actual html file Wallaby created? It won't let me select the folder with all of the files in it as is, and I can't link it to a zip file either... So how does it recognise the assets if I only select the html file? (see screenshot)
Or do I need to add an HTMLResources folder and link it to that?
Thanks in advance for any help given.

You link to the HTML file but make sure these things are in their own folder or InDesign will add EVERYTHING in the folder that has the html file in it.

  • How to open non-HTML fiiles in the web browser???

Hi.. My project requires that I should be able to open all the non-HTML or HTML files in the web browser itself. Ex. If there is some pdf file or doc file or any other file it should open in the browser itself. If the appropriate plug-ins are not there then it should first ask to download those plug-ins and then after downloading it the file should open in the browser.
I would be grateful if anyone can help me out. If there is some link or something like that then please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.

    hi,
you can open non-HTML files in the browser... when the file is sent from the server side you have to set the content type to match the content type of the file you are sending..
for example, if you are sending a pdf file.. you have to set the content type as : application/pdf
Another example: If you are sending a word doc use: application/msword

  • How to tell a swf file in web was made by flash or flex?

the swf file in web, how to tell it was made by Flash or
    Flex? accurately!

Im not sure, but I would think that right now the main way to
tell the difference would be to find out if it requires Flash
Player 8.5 or not. Currently, Flash swfs only go to 8.0. Another
way is to look at the source of the HTML file. I notice that Flex
puts an incredible amount of code into the HTML file.

  • Crystal Report Viewer icons do not show in Web Application Project in VS2005 (Web Site Project OK)

    Post Author: jsdude99
    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
    Hi,
With Visual Studio 2005, the Icons at the top of the CrystalReportViewer do not show on Web Application Project. However, If I have a web site project, they are all shown. Please note that I found number of posts that people not seeing the icons after the deployment but my case is the development environment. Once I pass the first hurdle I may face further problems like the other people, so If you happen to know answers in both situations, please share your knowlegde..
PS: I created two new types of projetcs and have just a CrystalReportViewer on the default page. Data is shown fine but the icons are missing (red X placeholders instead of icons) in Web Application Project. Very straight forward test.

We havent tried that.  We changed the link in the web part to access an html page that claims that the report is loading.  It states in the html that if the page doesnt load to "click here" which redirects to the crystalreportviewer.  Its a temp fix for it.  One thing we are looking at is the 64 bit version of the Sharepoint integration kit.  That may contain a reportviewer webpart.
    Thanks for the reply.

  • Table display in Visual Web JSF (Project woodstock)

    Hi...
I am trying to display a table(Quota) from a database in Visual Web JSF(project woodstock) and it works fine, as in I am able to run the project and a browser opens up dislaying the page with the date from the table. However when I try to display another table (Booking) from the same database, I am having problems. The page renders with no content(BLANK) in the browser. I am not sure why this is happening as I am using the same technique used to display content from the Quota table.

  • Any problems with Web Tool Project (WTP)?

    Hi
The Web Tool Project has just been released.
    http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/
Has anyone tried installing webtool and Nitrox together and if there are
    any conflict between the two?
I have not installed it myself but would like to get feedback from this
group if any one has made the attempt.
    Thanks!

    Hi all
The first usual suspect to check is to ensure your style sheet is properly attached and being used. Following that, double check to ensure there aren't any inline styles that may be overriding what the external or linked CSS specifies. I'd be doubtful that's the case, however, as it would seem that you are only noticing a difference in output. If you had inline styling you would see it on the source side as well.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Where to put images in web Dynpro project to have them deployed?

    Hi Brothers,
I would like to show an image in an <img>-tag within a Formatted Text View UI Element.
I have created a folder img under src/.../projectname and I have referenced the image in the <img>-tag as follows:
    < img src="/LocalDevelopment~LocalDevelopment~testroadmap~demo.sap.com/src/packages/com/sap/demo/projectname/img/newRow.JPG"; /.>
However, the image is not shown in the Formatted Text View UI Element.
Does anybody know where to put images so that they are packed in the .war achieve and deployed and how to referenced them?
    Thanks, Johannes

    Hi,
place the image in the following folder of application,
    src\mimes\Components\<your component name>.testroadmap.demo.sap.com
If you store the image file in your Web Dynpro project under src /mimes /Components /<Name of Component>, you only have to specify the file name without a path.
