HTML Tag formatting is behaving differently in CC than CS6?

Why is HTML Tag formatting is behaving differently in CC than it did in CS6, even though the settings are set the same?!??!
I've double-checked the tag settings - they are absolutely the same between both versions, but when I use APPLY formatting to a page in CC, it completely mangles the tags formatting on ANY html file...
What's going on?  Any way to get CC to act properly like it does in CS6??

Can you provide code examples of what you mean by mangled?
It could be that your code contains errors which DW is attempting to reconcile.
CSS - http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
HTML - http://validator.w3.org/
JavaScript - http://www.jslint.com/
PHP -  http://phpcodechecker.com/
Or perhaps your code format is not set-up the same in both apps.  Edit >  Tag Libraries.

  • Muse CC Emails sent by Form widget are shown as html-tags

    Hi,
    I´ve got the following problem that emails sent by the Muse CC form widget are shown as html-code or html-tags in my inbox.
    Though the message contains all filled in data this is a quite unreadable format similarily as in post http://forums.adobe.com/message/5818028#5818028
    I already read the discussions here in the community but as it seems the issue though already known seems not be fixed yet nor does any of the answers which refer to the ISP configurations regarding message handling apply to me. Actually this is a first time issue with mails - haven´t had this problem up to now so I guess it´s a Muse thing.
    Though the mail is shown in some kind of html-tag format as mentioned it is actually marked as "text only" message?
    Furthermore the message is UTF-8 so there shouldn´t be any problems with special characters either but also German consonants like "ä,ü,ö" are not formatted correctly.
    I am using Windows 7, Outlook 2013 by the way.
    The Muse site was exported as html and then uploaded via ftp, I am not using catalyst.
    No idea what´s going wrong here hopefully someone has a solution to this problem.
    Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Why Reports format behaves different in Excel and browser(if desformat=html or pdf)?

    1-Why Reports format behaves different in Excel and browser(if desformat=html or pdf)?
    2-I made three queries Q1,Q2 & Q3 and linked them with proper field links but suppose Q3 returns no records for some Q1&Q2 records & when the report runs for delimited options it reflects only those records as output for which all the queries return records(if Q3 returns no record then the related records from queries Q1,Q2 don't reflect) while the output in desformat=html or pdf is ok..

    What do you mean by "different"? (In our
    experience, Oracle html output has too many
    columns, which are not visible in the
    browser but are obvious in Excel.)
    We build our own html programmatically, so
    that Excel matches the browser more closely.

  • Want text input containing HTML tags to appear as HTML in output format

    Hi,
    We have a table in Oracle database that has a column named detail,one of its values is like this: <bold><italics>Good Morning</italics></bold>. What our client wants is that the output format should show: <b><i>Good Morning</b></i>. That is,Bi Publisher should be able to parse the HTML tags and provide the desired output. Please tell me how to achieve this. Any help is much appreciated.

  • [RB 6i] Format text in the field using HTML-tags. Or another way...

    If some fields of tables in database contain html tags such as 'H<sub>2</sub>O' (here is html tag 'sub') or 'some<b>text</b>'(here is html tag 'b') how can I to make Report Builder 6i to understand these tags or at least don't show them?
    Or how in another way can I format a part of text inside the field?
    thanx before
    Max

    Hi Maxim,
    If the output is PDF, the only way is to filter the incoming values yourself. You will need to create a PL/SQL column and remove the HTML markup tags. This, of course, leaves you without attributes you wanted in text (ie: the no "Bold" characters). You can still do this in with the same report basing the output from the PL/SQl formula column on the "desformat" input parameter.
    Reports doesn't have any "markup" capability. ie: A field only has one font & one colour. You can have multiple fonts for boilerplate text but, again, only a single colour.
    Robin.

  • Best way to format text: HTML tags or CSS?

    Probably a silly question, but...  I can format the text within a div using CSS Styles (Font-size, Font-Style, Font-Weight, etc.) or by applying an HTML tag, such as <H1>. (Or, I guess a combination where I use CSS to format the tag, but let's skip that one for now.)
    In general, is one approach better than the other? Thanks!

    +1 Nancy. The specific tags exist today simply because of the meaning it adds to your site at the backend - especially for search engines to understand what's going on with your site. And since search engines dont 'see' your page, but 'read' your code, these tags are the only hope for them to figure out what your site contains and how to place it on their results.
    On a sidenote, the first method of using inline styles is time-consuming and results in larger filesizes since you'll end up doing it for each div tag. The second method is much simpler as you can style each individual tag in CSS and re-use them anywhere you want on your site.

  • Method to Format a string column containing HTML tags as simple string.

    Hello,
    I am working with formating a string column which holds Html tags.
    I want to remove these tags from the actual data which has to be shown on the BI Publisher report.
    Can you suggest how can we format this in the DataSet designer of BI publisher so that my data is recognised on the Layout designer.
    I have been trying to create an expression using the "Add Element by Expression" option to format this html tag data as normal string without the tags.
    Can you suggest if this is the correct method to do this.
    I found this below code being used in an existing DateSet but i am not able to recreate a similar formating on this kind of data column.
    <![CDATA' || '['|| TO_CLOB(SUCCESS_CRITERIA) || ']' || ']>
    Kindly suggest if you have any idea on the above mentioned issue.

  • AIA Error Notification Format : HTML Tags

    Hi All,
    I am trying to customize the AIA Error notifications in AIAEHNotification.xml file to include the html tags such as &lt;font color="blue"&gt; etc. to change the look of the error message. But the same is not getting reflected in the error emails I receive.
    I'm sure the file AIAEHNotification.xml is getting updated as I can see my updated content every time but not html formatted in any case.
    Does default AIA Error handler support HTML tags inside the email body message or it just uses &lt;pre&gt; by default before sending the notification?

    Neeraj,
    html tags are not supported in the AIA EH notification framework as of now and I am not aware of any plans to support this in any of the next releases.

  • Help needed in formating the text using HTML tags in reports 10g

    Hi all,
    I have a situation here. We have an application which prints out Reports with a few lines of text in it. This text is entered by the user through our forms application in a field. That particular text is stored in each row of a particular long column. Here I want to modify the text, while printing, on the report like underline, bold, italics etc,.
    As of now I am using the HTML tags, in the forms, to do so as most the times the text in the report is same.
    I want to know if this can be done by the user itself while he is entering the data in the field through the form.
    Thanks in advance . I will explain you more clearly if you need.

    Hi,
    The code did work. But I am not sucessfully able to display the values entered in 2nd page in the 3rd page.Please find the code below:

    function WinOpen() {
    if (document.form1.cap.value == "")
    alert("Enter value in text box");
    return;

    msg.document.write("<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Yo!</TITLE></HEAD>");
    msg.document.write("<CENTER><h1><B>This is really cool!</B></h1></CENTER>");
    msg.document.write('<BODY><form name="form2">');
    for(var i =0; i < document.form1.cap.value; i++)
    msg.document.write("<INPUT type=text name=tbAlphaNumeric>");
    msg.document.write("<br>");
    msg.document.write('<input type="button" name="Button2" value="Steal" onClick="javascript:window.opener.WinShow();">');

    msg.document.write('</form></BODY></HTML>');
    </script>
    </head>

  • Smartform with text containing html tags

    I am reading from a table that contains html tags like
    <br>
    <menu>
    <LI type="disc">This is a line which contains html tags
    that goes over to 2nd line
    <LI type="disc"> This is also another line which contains html
    tags.
    and each line is stored in a different row. The customer has agreed to use only 3 of the above html tags (
    <br>, <menu> and <LI type="disc">
    When the output is previewed in smartforms, the html tags needs to be formatted and not print in raw format as follows:
    <LI type="disc">This is a line which contains html tags
       that goes over to 2nd line
    <LI type="disc"> This is also another line which contains html
       tags.
    How can this be done ?

    ok understood...
    you can try this
    Loop at i_html into wa_html.
    tmp = strlen( wa_html-line).
    do tmp times.
    if wa_html-line+0(1) = <
    l_start = 1.
    __elseif wa_html-line+0(1) = >
    l_start = 0.
    concatenate l_char wa_html-line+0(1) into l_char.
    endif.
    if l_start = 1.
    concatenate l_char wa_html-line+0(1) into l_char.
    wa_html-line = wa_html-line+1(l_tmp - sy-index) OR use the keyword SHIFT LEFT...plz chk the syntax
    elseif l_start = 0 and l_char = <LItype=disc>
    concatenate <BULLET>  wa_html-line into  wa_html-line separated by space.
    endif.
    enddo.
    modify i_html form wa_html.
    endloop.
    now u define two text element one with bullet and another without bullet. this is how u insert bullet:
    goto to the texteditor of a text element in smartform. Its a small button on the left hand side of.
    Then goto insert>characters>sap symbols.
    for ur requirement u can use the symbol SYM_FILLED_CIRCLE.
    Remember these icons or symbols whatever u will not be able to see in print preview....u have to take a print
    and see
    Now at the time of display check if the line contains the
    tag <BULLET> ( if wa_html-line+0(8) = '<BULLET>')
    if the line has the tag then display ur text in the text element with bullet
    otherwise
    display it in the non bullet text element..
    remeber to remove the tag before dispalying
    hope this solves ur prob...

  • Multi line HTML data formatting on SSRS reprot

    Hi
    I am  using SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 , data fetching by Project server database,data value is getting by multi line rich text field.
    when showing same data in HTML format
    on ssrs reports its shows every style what ever user copy and paste on particular field like font size ,colors and them.
    I have requirement to show unique font size and unique family font,I am unable to achieve this using lot of placeholder properties.
    below u can find the example

    Hi Hasan,
    According to your description that the some of the report data retrieved by multi line rich text field, which style show differently in the report, you have tried to create the placeholder using the HTML tag to format the data
    but failed to achieve, right?
    The issue due to the rich text formatting is not supported in SSRS 2008, Currently, you have mentioned that you tried to using the HTML tag to reformat the text but failed, that may due to Reporting Services support limit HTML tags when defined as placeholder
    text. Please see:
    • Hyperlinks: <A href>
    • Fonts: <FONT>
    • Header, style and block elements: <H{n}>, <DIV>, <SPAN>,<P>, <DIV>, <LI>, <HN>
    • Text format: <B>, <I>, <U>, <S>
    • List handling: <OL>, <UL>, <LI>
    In your scenario, I recommend you to take reference of method below to get the unique format text.
    Check the supported HTML tag and using the correct tag to format
    If you want to get the RTF format:
    If using Report Viewer Windows control, we can render the RTF file into IMG file, and then display the image on the report.
    Nayan Patel written good artilce about this:
    http://binaryworld.net/Main/CodeDetail.aspx?CodeId=4049
    This article give us the idea to convert RTF to image and then display on the report.
    You can also convert the RTF text to the plain text which by default in the report:
    Article have details method about the convert for your reference:

  • Html tags in color when in source

    Happy New Year to all! Why is it when looking at “Source” under properties, the tags appearing are in different colors? Where can I find more info about this? Thanks to all!

    Leviteno wrote:
    I was thinking about some guide or something that describes the default color format in order to decipher the page sections.
    One way for a tenderfoot to learn is to experiment. If you followed the instructions in the Help page I pointed you to, you would learn quite a lot about what the different colours mean. As the following screenshot shows, the Edit Coloring Scheme dialog box has a Preview pane. Click anywhere inside the code in the Preview pane, and the "Styles for" list at the top left of the dialog box shows the meaning of the code. When I took the screenshot, the cursor was inside the word "submit", which the "Styles for" list shows to be an HTML Attribute Value.
