Unfortunately no, Adobe muse does not supports this at the moment.
You cannot edit html/css/javascript file using Muse. You can embed the code in adobe muse using object -> insert as html, but cannot edit the html pages.

How to style a custom form that's been inserted as HTML into Muse

Apologies in advance if something similar already exists, and as a print-based designer I'm likely to use incorrect terminology.
I've created a basic website that requires a custom form. I've created this form using dreamweaver as it requires a dropdown and a check box. The unstyled html from DW I then insert into Muse via the 'Insert HTML' function, on a page called 'booking form'
To style it I did the following...
- Opened the form I created back in DW and added classes to the labels .formname, and added a class to some terms and conditions that sits somewhere in the form and called that .formsubtext
- Copied all of this code and inserted it back into Muse via Insert HTML
- The form shows up unstyled as expected
- I export the site as HTML
- Go into the exported folder into the CSS, and into the corresponding css file booking-form.css
- Added some custom CSS styling to reflect the font and colour I wanted to use
- Re-uploaded those edited files
- The result was that it rendered the class .formsubtext reflecting the terms and conditions as it should but not all the other labels
Would someone be able to tell me a better way to style a custom form or point out what I've done wrong.

If you have structured your HTML markup for the form well using appropriate class and id names, then you can just add corresponding CSS using the <style> element in the "HTML for <head>" section in Page Properites > Metadata.
You may also choose to add all the CSS in a separate file and add reference to that in the HTML for <head> section and then upload the CSS file in appropriate location after publish.

Add hidden html to muse

I am trying to insert a stat counter (from statcounter.com) into my Muse website. I am not sure how I can insert that html and keep it hidden.
I originally developed my website with Dreamweaver and it was easy to place the statcounter in the code. I recently re created my website in muse (because I'm really just a designer not a developer and I wanted to use the mobile layout!) but I cannot find a place to just edit the code in Muse. Help please!

Hi Brenna,
You will not be able to edit the html that is rendered via Muse, however, you can edit your html that you need to embed outside of Muse then insert using the 'object -> insert html' option.

JavaScript Alert in Chrome: When I export as HTML from Muse

After having integrated a ".oam" file in a Muse and exported the site in Html, the browser returns this error:
"MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:SecurityError: Failed to read the 'contentDocument' property from 'HTMLIFrameElement': Blocked a frame with origin "null" from accessing a cross-origin frame."
Is there a solution?

I have the same problem, but it's only on Chrome…
For me, it's work fine with Safari and Firefox

How to embed html in muse

Wie kann ich eine html-Datei, die ich aus einem Open Office oder Word-Dokument erstellt habe einbetten in Muse.
Es handelt sich um eine Tabelle. Es gibt ein "Tab Widget", aber das müßte doch auch anders funktionieren.
Ich kann das html in SAFARI öffnen, aber ich weiß nicht, wo ich den Code bekomme.
Außerdem habe ich in meinem Entwurf auch 2 separate Menüs, das erste ist das Hauptmenü für alle Seiten,
das zweite ist das jeweilige Submenü für die jeweiligen Hauptmenüpunkte.
Ihr könnt den Entwurf, den ich mit Sitegrinder von Medialab erstellt habe unter:

anschauen.
Dann wißt Ihr auch gleich, wie es gedacht ist.
Die Tabellen sind noch nicht fertig aber so ähnlich gedacht.
Leider ist Medialab nicht mehr existent, deswegen bemühe ich mich jetzt vehement, die Sache in Muse
zu gestalten.

Mittlerweile habe ich über das englischsprachige Forum bemerkt, daß Tabellen sehr gerne benutzt werden würden, wenn es denn einfacher wäre. Ich habe herausbekommen, daß es tatsächlich besser aussieht, wenn man die "gesendete" html Datei
als separate Webseite öffnet, sich davon den Quelltext zeigen läßt ( In Safari 7.1/Mavericks ist das nicht mehr F11 sondern: Entwickler-Seitenquelltext einblenden oder "alt-cmd-U"), diesen kopiert und dann in Muse über "Objekt-html einfügen"
entsprechend platziert. Allerdings ist so zum Beispiel nicht mehr möglich, diesen als Text zu editieren, das kann ich allerdings erst sagen, wenn ich die Site auf einem ftp-Server habe und vielleicht klappt es ja auch. Ob der Test auch funktioniert über die
Funktion "SItevorschau in Browser" möchte ich so nicht bestätigen. Auch ist es so nicht ohne weiteres möglich einen Downloadlink hinzuzufügen. Das wäre aber in meinem Fall extrem wichtig. Tiny mcd wäre hier eine schöne Lösung.
Dieses Forum lebt ja schließlich auch von tiny mcd, allerdings mit logischerweise eingeschränktem Handlungsspielraum. So realisiere ich jetzt auch die Bild einfügen Funktion. Hier also die Bilder von meinem Menü vor dem Embed und nach dem Embed.
Obwohl ich eine google Font verwendet habe, erscheint dieses T-icon. Bei 02_nachher erscheint das Hauptmenü in der Mitte hinter der Tabelle. Das Submenü bleibt stehen. Beide Menüs sind in der dafür vorgesehenen Masterpage angelegt.
Über: Adobe Muse Table Maker Widget | MuseThemes.com gibt es auch eine Tabelle, aber ich benötige eigentlich nicht alle Widgets und Templates für eine Jahresgebühr von 69$. Soweit ich jetzt bin mit meinem Wissensstand, werde ich die Tabelle wie oben beschrieben anlegen, und die Downloadbuttons extra platzieren. Elegant ist anders. SInce downloading muse cc I am having trouble inserting Object HTML from you tube to google maps? Should I reload Air or Muse or both and if so any particular order recommended?

Export html on muse and not work when put on a server

I created my portfolio website on Muse and exported as html. All is well when I view pages from the files I exported. When I uploaded it to a server my college provides, it shows up with this error message "Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect. Clear browser cache and try again. If the problem persists please contact website author." And all my design and pictures are either not there or all messed up. Help please!

Have you verified that your css folder uploaded?

Choose Object > Insert HTML. In the window that appears, select the default placeholder text and Press Delete (Mac) or Backspace (Windows) to remove it. Choose Edit > Paste to paste the HTML code into the HTML Code field. Click OK to close the HTML Code window.

How can export html from muse right into the folder without domain?

When i watch video tutorials there's no inquiry for domain but in ''my'' muse there is so i cant just save an html

I have no idea WHY the domain name is asked for at Export as HTML. The name seems to serve no purpose. I just enter a bogus name [xxx.com] pick a Location. I then use FTP client to send to host in any folder/directory I name using said FTP client.

I am trying to embed this to my Muse site - using embed html.

But it does not work. Muse keep telling me that it cannot show a miniature picture of the code - and two weeks ago I did it, and it worked. But then it stopped working, and now I cannot regenerate it....

How to edit html in Muse?

Hi, I have an image link that is not functioning correctly on my portfolio site. On the home page I have an image that is supposed to link to the projects page, but using the add hyperlink function is creating the following inoperable link: work:Projects. This leads nowhere. Using the same add hyperlink function, on the work page creates the correct following link: http://www.paulanichols.com/projects.html.
I have tried clearing the the nonfunctioning link, then reapplying, with no success. I thought I could just edit the recalcitrant page in BC and replace the bad link with the correct one. But I am unable to edit the link in the wysiwyg page and cannot see how to access and edit the html. Below are the links.

Muse file is missing but the site is hosted. Can I import or convert the sitefiles back to muse?

If you have lost your -muse file and you have no backup, there is no way to restore the -muse file.
It’s just like you try to restore a Word document out of a PDF.

Muse keeps crashing when embedding html vimeo

I am on a Macpro (mac OS 10.7.5). Using Muse 7.3. Whenever i try to embed a vimeo video by html insert, muse crashes constantly. Also trying the vimeo widget in the widget library keeps crashing Muse. When i try the youtube widget there is no crash.

The update to AIR 13 introduced a bug that impacts Macs from 2006-2009. The AIR team is aware of this and working on a fix.
The short-term workaround would be to uninstall Adobe AIR (using the uninstaller "Applications/Utilities/Adobe AIR Uninstaller" and directly install version 4.0.0.1390 from
Adobe AIR 4.0.0.1390 Mac (27.6 MB)
following which you'll need to ignore the AIR update alerts to avoid updating back to the AIR 13 version with the bug. (AIR changed their version number scheme to match the corresponding version number of Flash Player. The major version after AIR 4 is 13.)
