HTTP Service XML Response?

Hi,
I have implemented an HTTP service to my getXML.php which produces XML output. I used Flash Builder Data Menu to do that, not write services by hand. It created a service packet, and also created an object type as return value( valueObjects). It converts responed XML file into that object type, and user can use that object to access data. However, I want to get XML file directly, I do not want that conversion. I looked at action script codes, and modify operation.resultType but it did not work. Any suggestiontions?
          _serviceControl = new HTTPMultiService("http://localhost/XMLprovider/");
         var operations:Array = new Array();
         var operation:Operation;
         var argsArray:Array;
         operation = new Operation(null, "getXML");
         operation.url = "getXML.php";
         operation.method = "GET";
         argsArray = new Array("s");
         operation.argumentNames = argsArray;
         operation.serializationFilter = serializer0;
         operation.properties = new Object();
         operation.properties["xPath"] = "/";
      operation.resultType = valueObjects.SelectionXML;
         operations.push(operation);
         _serviceControl.operationList = operations;

You will need to modify the <Service Name> class.
You can modify its constructor as:
package services.srv
    import mx.rpc.http.Operation;
public class Srv extends _Super_Srv
    public function Srv()
        var operation:Operation = _serviceControl.getOperation("getXML") as Operation;
        operation.serializationFilter = null;
        operation.resultFormat = "xml";
You can then get the XML from the result event as:
protected function Operation1Result_resultHandler(event:ResultEvent):void
                trace((event.result as XMLNode).toString());

  • HTTP Service XML to ArrayCollection

    Hi,
    How do I convert the results from a remote XML List file
    called using the HTTPService method into an arrayCollection for
    sorting filtering etc. ??? (I assume it is the arrayCollection
    please feel free to suggest a better method)
    I have this working by calling the XML as a model that
    compiles at runtime, it'd be nice to have this work dynamically
    Thanks
    Rich

    If your data is in XML format, you may want to read it in as
    XML, and use an XMLList (or XMLListCollection wrapping the XMLList)
    to do the management of it.
    In terms of how to read it in at runtime (I assume that's
    what you're asking?) try something along these lines:
    internal var myXMLList:XMLList;
    internal function loadData() : void
    var XML_URL:String = "myData.xml";
    var myXMLURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest(XML_URL);
    var myLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    myLoader.addEventListener("complete", dataLoaded);
    try
    myLoader.load(myXMLURL);
    } catch(error:Error)
    trace("Failed to load Data");
    internal function dataLoaded(evtObj:Event) : void
    var myLoader:URLLoader = URLLoader(evtObj.target);
    var myXML:XML = XML(myLoader.data);
    myXMLList = myXML.ListedElement;
    }

  • How to handle HTTPS Service that returns XML

    When using Flash + AMF remoting I've always typecast the event.result as XML(event.result).  Typecasting isn't working in Flash Builder, I'm getting an object as the result [object MYXMLROOT] and I can access it's properties, but I can't typecast it as XML, nor can I loop each of it's properties....

    Hi,
    There are ways to use XML returned by Http Service in  flex. Is this what you are looking to achieve?
    http://blog.flexexamples.com/2008/03/29/dynamically-loading-xml-files-using-the-httpservic e-tag/
    The DCD features of Flash Builder 4 can also be used to access the XML as Services.

    I receive an ORDRSP (ORDERS05) about http and the supplier needs a status code, that the request was successfully. HTTP Code 200 or an own XML Response are great.
    Is it possible to do this with the BC 4.8?

  • How do you query the Hotmail Calendar with a freebusy URL to get an XML response ?

    Hello,
    I've posted this on the Exchange Server Legacy thread, but they point me back here....
    Assuming that Outlook's (Hotmail's) Calendar service still supports XML FreeBusy requests, what am I doing wrong here ?
    I'm sending this GET request to obtain an XML return that I can then further process:
    GET / HTTP/1.1
    owa/public/?cmd=freebusy&start=2014-12-04T14: 00:00+01:00&end=2014-12-08T16:00:00+01:00&interval=30&u=SMTP:*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

    (Translate: t comes from http://www.infinitec.de/post/2004/12/31/Retrieving-a-users-availability-(freebusy-data).aspx)
    (User-Agent seems needed in order to get an XML response)
    It keeps giving me "400 - BAD REQUEST".
    What is the correct syntax for this  ?

    Hi,
    From your description, I would like to clarify the following things:
    1. If you use an Exchange account, you can use an OWA command to retrieve Free/busy information for a particular user.
    2. In your case, you use an Hotmail account. Actually, we have a dedicated support team regarding the Microsoft Outlook.com . I recommend you ask your question on our Microsoft Outlook.com forum which is staffed by more experts specializing in this kind
    of problems. Your understanding will be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Using the exact same wsdl i was able to get a response from the HTTP service using OSB. I created a business service targeting this wsdl. Then created a proxy service to route the xml to the business service.
    I was able to successfully invoke and get response from the HTTP service without making any change to the wsdl.
    Could this be a bug in BPEL PM? Should I raise an SR?

  • How to insert the partner link (xml)response to data base adapter in BPEL:

    Hi to every one,
    I have little bit knowledge in oracle SOA suit and having knowledge in java technologies,
    I am developing one central reporting server for this I have the following requirement.
    I need to call ‘N’ departmental servers (partner links) daily at specific time I need to insert all the transaction details (xml) response in central database (db adapter).
    I’m able to call the ‘N’ partner links but I’m facing the problem while inserting ‘N’ servers response into central db using db adapter.
    I written one common xsd file for request and response for N departmental server.

    Following are the SOAP request and response formats for your reference.
    <!-- =========== request formate ========= -->

  • Web service SOAP response issue

    Hi,*
    We are upgrading system from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0. All of our webservices were created in new system with SOAManager configuration.
    When the consumer systsem is trying to consume one of the webservice the XML response is different when compared with the one tested from ECC 5.0.
    ECC 6.0 is returning different XML for the same web service. The consuming system "Cold Fusion' is expecting the SOAP XML in different place.
    When we tested the same webservice in WS navigator it did gave the response. Also the issue is with this webservice only.
    We have re created the webservice again and tested from cold fusion and the same response.
    The issue is with only this webservice.
    Regards,
    Prashanth.

    Christoph,
    Firstly LiveCycle Designer 8.2 is still not supported to develop forms as per my knowledge. The latest version compatible for SAP Interactive Forms is ALD 8.0.
    There is a difference between Acrobat based forms and LiveCycle forms and based on your coding it looks to me  that you are trying to create a LiveCycle based form with coding of Acrobat which is not supported in LiveCycle Desginer, which is why you may be getting the error.
    I hope that does not confuse you, so may check this [link|http://www.acrobatusers.com/articles/2006/08/designer_or_forms/index.php] for some clear information on what point I was trying to make.

  • How do i prevent getting a xml declaration in the xml response

    Hi,
    I am using a soap call to access a webservice via plsql.
    The xml response from the webservice starts as follows
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope">..............
    I want to find ways to
    1. either prevent the xml tag <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> from being returned in the response.
    2. or somehow convert the entire response to a string and remove it by substr (not sure about this)
    The issue i am facing is that when i run a xmltype.extract on the xml to get a particular node i am getting the
    ORA-31013: Invalid XPATH expression
    when i remove the tag from the response (using hardcoded values) i get the right values back.
    Any suggestions are welcome.
    Regards
    kpillai

    Hi,
    The code extract with hardcoded values looks like this. Please note that i added quotes in the xml statement
    '<?xml version=''1.0'' encoding=''UTF-8''?>which is not the case when oracle returns the xml and i guess thats the whole issue.
    The code below runs perfectly. But when the entire procedure runs where the xml response is returned I get the error.

  • The EWS URL wasn't found in the EXPR settings of the Autodiscover XML response.

    Hi Guys,
    I have posted this on
    Spiceworks Fourm as well as I have run into some urgency on this issue. I know its not fair to post twice but I really need help on this one.
    I am busy troubleshooting an issue for one of my customers and was wondering if anyone has come across this issue before.
    One External Service Provider utilizes Autodiscover to pull EWS information in their app. There is no way we can change that to directly input EWS information. The issue I am getting is on Microsoft's Remote Connectivity Analyzer. I am testing EWS
    functionality and its failing with this response:
    The Exchange Web Services URL wasn't found in the EXPR settings of the Autodiscover XML response.
    HTTP Response Headers:

    If I test this internally using Test-OutlookWebServices cmdlet i have all successes. If I Test Email Auto-Configuration, i get the EXPR information with the EWS URl's internally and externally. I believe there is an issue somewhere along the lines however I'm
    not sure when to continue from here. I have run Set-OutlookProvider EXPR -CertPrincipalName ********** and also tried it again with $null.
    See the post of my email test (XML Response attached on this URL): Spiceworks URL
    All other services on ExRCA works perfectly except for EWS Autodiscover.
    If anyone out there has seen this before as i cannot find any documentation on this specific issue.
    This one is rather confusing as it usually is external works but internal fails. Certificates have been assigned correctly.
    Your prompt response would be highly appreciative!
