HTTP to HTTP Through BPM?

Dear All,
please go through the below requirement and let me know your inputs and how do we develop this scenario in XI. Can this scenario be achieved by BPM.
I have a Source System (AS400) and Target system (Windows) in between XI is lying. XI has to send a request to Source System through HTTP Adapter and read the files from the source system and also wait till the reading of the files are completed. Send the read files to the Target system through HTTP Adapter only.
If any one is not clear of the requirement please feel free to ask me.
Thanks
Shaik

<i>How do you request to source system through HTTP Adapter?</i>
XI aids in communication. As a rule of EAI, it shouldnt act as the trigger point of communication. So HTTP request couldnt begin from XI. Rather a client at the sender should trigger the HTTP request.
<i>XI has to send a request to Source System through HTTP Adapter</i>
Still a workaround could be like this. U may use some other client of XI as a Business Service. The HTTP client will reside on this client. This will now trigger the interface. AS400 has DB2 as its database. So ur scenario at this point will become HTTP <-> JDBC synchronous.
But since u want to push the msg further to receiver system u have to use BPM here.
HTTP(XI) - XI - JDBC (req)
JDBC (resp) - XI - receiver

    Hello Chandra,
you can activate SSL in the J2EE engine and then you have both Protocolls avaliable. The documentaiton can be found at <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f1/2de3be0382df45a398d3f9fb86a36a/frameset.htm">Configuring the Use of SSL on the SAP J2EE Engine</a>.

    Hi,
You are running a jsp report through rwservlet. In this case paper layout will be displayed. You have to deploy your jsp as web report to get the web layout. Please refer to the doc below, which describes how to deploy the web report.
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/html/B10314_01/pbr_run.htm#1011901
To run the jsp report, URL may look like
    http://www.wwt.com/reports/<jsp name>?<parameter list>
    Hope this helps

  • URL Rewrite Rule: HTTP to HTTPS Not Working

Here is my problem. I cannot get HTTP to HTTPS redirect to work using the URL Rewrite module. I am using version 2, by the way, which I understand is the latest version. I've also enabled the "Proxy Server" and Application Request Routing"
    features.
I've trolled through the Internet for 2 days now for solutions to my problem, including the ones provided by the TechNet forums and by MVP Scott Forsyth. I've tried over 30 solutions, and none have resolved my issue. Granted some of the solutions I've tried
may have been repeats of others. After trying so many, I have had a hard time discerning the differences. Does it really matter, for instance if the pattern match for the {HTTPS} input is specified as
"^off$" or just "off"? I see this discrepancy (among others) everywhere. It seems like there are so many variations out there. It is quite confusing for the uninitiated and the newbies like myself to the
URL Rewrite technology. I have enabled and consulted my "Failed Request Tracing Rules" logs but cannot make any sense of the cryptic information it is providing.
I just cannot get my reverse proxy server to redirect http requests from the Internet to https to my internal web server. When a user specifies "https://server1.xxxxx.com". he is able to access the internal server via the reverse proxy (IIS) server.
But when he specifies "http://server1.xxxxx.com" he receives "Server Error 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed."
At this point I am at my wits end, and am even considering configuring the protocol translation on our firewall. But this not my preference as it presents another layer of complexity, and device to troubleshoot later on. Below I've pasted my entire web.config
file with my most current version of the rule in question (in bold) for your review. I started to paste just the specific rule, but thought you might need to see the entire file in case something else may be conflicting with the rule.
Thank you in advance for your help.

  • Web Dynpro application - HTTP or HTTPs

    Hi all,
when is a web dynpro application called over http and when over https.
I have a web dynpro application (SICF - Logon Standard - not SSL) but the application is sometimes triggered with HTTPS.
How can i find this out?
    regards

So If SSL is configured and installend on your System,
you can call your wd-application through HTTPS (beside HTTP) as well.
But if you enable SSL in SICF on the Logon,
only HTTPS will work, HTTP will not work anymore.

  • Help !!  its urgent !!! HTTPS to HTTP switching in weblogic App server !!

    Hi,
I am using servlets in Weblogic Server environemt. My client (browser based) switches
from HTTPS to HTTP and vice versa while accessing different servlets.
In IE application works fine but when using Netscape it fails in many parts .
I have read that there is a fix for Netscape , it goes like this
" Question : When a Netscape browser starts a session with WebLogic Server on an
HTTP page and then moves to an HTTPS page, a new session is created. How can I preserve
the session while switching to or from HTTPS?
Answer : The cookie WebLogic Server sends includes the port number. When the Netscape
browser sees a cookie with a different port number, it assumes the destination is
a different server, so it does not return the cookie to WebLogic Server. The way
to prevent this is to specify the domain name that WebLogic Server writes in the
cookie with the weblogic.httpd.session.cookie.domain property. For example:
    weblogic.httpd.session.cookie.domain=.mydomain.com "
I have tried this also by giving different versions of the above mentioned line in
    weblogic.properties file
    i) weblogic.httpd.session.cookie.domain=.myServerName
where myServerName is name of the machine in which Weblogic App server is running

Which ports are you using for HTTP and HTTPS?

  • Maintaining Sessions between http and https

I have a web application in which I want my users to view the login page over SSL and send the login request via SSL also, but then I want to revert back to http://
My problem is, and i've seen this problem on loads of boards with no real resolution, during the login I set some objects with in the session that are used to display information in other parts of the site... but the session object is being lost!!!
I am using Tomcat as my web server, I saw an article on JavaWorld titled "mix protocols transparently in web applications", and apparently to over come this problem if you are using WebLogic 6.1 there is a parameter in the weblogic.xml file that must be configured, but I cant find a similar one on Tomcat!!!
    Thanks in advance

Thanks a million for the answer, I have got it working now, but I had to do something a little different for any one else who experiances this problem I'll go through it... I set an attribute in the context which was named the the value of the current session id and contianed the session object. Then when leaving the login handeling in my dispatcher servlet I apended the session id to the url of the next jsp called. In this jsp then I retrived the "secure session" object from the context, this so far is what you suggested.
But then I had to loop through "non secure session" object's attributes and set them in the "non secure session" object, that is I was not just able to reset the "non secure session" object equal to the "secure session" object as when I went on to the next page it was reset to the "non secure session" object again!
The fact that the session object is changed when moving between http and https is (according to Tomcat buglist) a bug of Tomcat 4.1 and did not occur in tomcat 3.2

  • Managing https and http

    HI all,
I have a jsp file that is accessed through https.
    e.g. https:\\myurl\myjsp.jsp
The problem with this scheme is as follows. If I access any link on the myjsp.jsp file, it is accessed through https as I have used relative paths in myjsp.jsp file. As I want to access some links by http, I may change all those links to absolute paths starting with "http://....". This solves the problem, but it's not feasible to make such change for every hyperlink on the page.
Let me know if there is a simple and easy solution.

May be you can try this..
Find out the protocol type whether its http or https while submitting the form or before you navigate using request.getRequestURL()..
If its https change it to http.. But this is normal way of doing it.. I am not sure about is there simple way exist..

  • Redirecting HTTPS to HTTP in IIS 8

Hi,I have a slight problem. We have a web service running on an internal server, using HTTP. This server has a DNS name like internal.domain.com. Externally, we allow access through a reverse proxy server, that also uses HTTPS externally. This server has the external DNS name of service.domain.com. Internally (we're running split horizon DNS), service.domain.com points to internal.domain.com. Now the problem becomes that you need to use https://service.domain.com externally, and http://service.domain.com internally to access the same resource. What I would like to do is to have any incoming internal traffic to service.domain.com using HTTPS redirected to the same URL but using HTTP.I tried the following global rewriter rule in the applicationhost.config file.TextThat doesn't work for some reason. Then I tried;TextDidn't work either.What...

    Thanks for your answer Roberto,
I have to say that i have one OC4J instance with 3 processes (virtual machines)[production environment], the problem arises when my application switches from https to http, https runs, let´s say, on process 1 and then http runs on process 3, that´s the reason why any object created on https is lost when switching to http.
I´ve checked some documentation about this subject but they talk about oc4j clusters (multiple oc4j with multiple processes within),*my case is one oc4j with multiple processes* i just need to know if there is some way to keep session between multiple virtual machines or to keep application execution on one virtual machine using https and http.

HI i have macbook pro with OSX 10.8. I am facing typical problem with Wi- Fi , in school wi-fi it does'nt connects to http sites and connects only https as no security/proxy settings done but in home wi-fi it connects to all  http and https sites. How to fix this problem as I am new this operating system. Please any one help me in this as I have installed Delicious Library which is not working in school becoz it searches amzon http site.

I would imagine that at school, you're required to connect through an HTTP proxy.
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. Enter the proxy settings given to you by the network administrator. Click OK and then Apply.
You may wish to create separate network locations for home and school. See the built-in help for instructions.

  • SERVER.XML re-write problem when changing HTTP to HTTPS

    Hello,
I am using SUN ONE App server and had a problem with turning SSL on in order to use HTTPS.
What I did was that in GUI I selected a http listener under my instance and checked SSL/TLS Settings. I clicked Apply Changes button and I got a message saying that there wa a problem with XML-DOM. I checked my server.xml and found that its size was 0. It seems that it stopped re-writing it when it met the problem.
An interesting thing is that when I created an additional http listener with SSL at a different port, there was no problem.
It seems that the problem occurs only when I tried to change HTTP to HTTPS.
Is there anyone who can tell me why this happens?
I will appreciate any answers or comments.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Is your Implementation Class is still the same (as the old one), when you changed the pre-fix.
Just double click on the Implementation class and check whether the methods are still implemented or not.
    Thanks, Advay

  • What is the correct way to set a web application to use HTTP or HTTPS?

In the past I've always created an HTTP web application as the default zone. Then extended the web app, creating a new IIS website on port 443 and enabled SSL. This seems to have worked fine, but I recently read an article stating that it is not good to
extend a web app unless absolutely necessary. So can someone tell me what the proper way is to configure a single web application to work with HTTP and HTTPS?

Extending the web application to support both HTTP and HTTPS is a perfectly good method and in fact is the only way to have a web application support both so what you've done is fine.
If the web application will only use HTTPS, you can set this up when you first create the web application. Specify port 443 and the SSL option (and ensure the URL has an https://) when creating the web application. You'll need to install the certificate
in IIS once the web application has been created.
