HTTPPOST is not working when i publish to azure

Hello,
I am working on a sample application using MVC, WebApi. I have created a sample Dashboard type of page and its working fine on ma local machine even with Azure Database ConnectionString but when i publish the same to Azure Portal i am able to see the data
but when i am trying to add something its not working.
I want to know the reason why its not working with published.

What is error message? I suggest you could try this solution:
Please make sure that the Microsoft.SqlServer.Types is referenced and marked as Copy Local = true AND you have to bring over into your BIN directory the dependency for the file which is sqlserverspatial.dll .
And if it doesn't work, please share the error message for further support.

Captivate 5.5 project -links are not working when i publish to the IE server

I was wondering if someone had a solution to my Captivate 5.5 project with external links.
Here is my problem:
I have a page that has an external link that opens another window.
For some reason the window will open in preview. However, when I publish to the IE browser it does not work.
Does someone have a solution to this problem? I saw some verbiage that stated adjusting something swf file. I don't quite understand were to change this file. Is it in Captivate?
Any information you have is greatly appreciated.

Google for information about Flash Global Security.
It looks like you need to trust the publish folder location as a trusted location in your Flash Global Security settings.

Transparent Button Link to URL not working when I publish

I am using mulitple tranparent buttons (over text) as a link to open a URL file in a seperate window on our company intranet. I created this file 6 months ago and it always works fine. Today, I needed to update the file and add another transparent button to link to a new url. When I preview the file, everything works fine and a browser window will open showing the correct web page but when I publish the file, nothing happens. None of the links work.
I have updated this file in the past and I have never had a problem. Does anyone have any suggestions. This should be a two minute update for me but has turned into a big problem.

What you might consider doing is to declare a common output folder. Then flag that folder as safe. Normally that's a one off and it just holds. But you do have the option of clearing the list of "safe" folders. Perhaps something clobbered that at some point.
Additionally, once you copy the content to a web server and view it in the browser using a URL, you shouldn't have any concerns. The link should work for all users.

Some page links not working when I publish iweb site to desktop folder?

I just created a photo website using iweb. All the links to pages, etc. work fine in the programme but when I go to publish it to folder to check it on a web page some of the page links don't work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Even though you have deactivated the iWeb navigation menu, the navigation layer still exists and is blocking your custom links. Open the Inspector Page tab and try changing the value for Header Height to zero. See if this does anything for you. If not, then try increasing the Header Height value incrementally. This pushes the navigation layer down your page and maybe out of the way of your custom links.
Of course, there is also the question of whether you custom links are placed on the page as a header element or as a regular page element. You can put elements into the header or footer layers by holding down the Apple key while dragging the elements until you see the header/footer outline highlight in blue.
If your custom links are header elements, then increasing the header height to push the navigation layer down will probably help. If your custom links are page elements, then decreasing the header height to zero might be more likely to help.

Buttons not working when I publish my HTML 5 project and play in LMS

When creating an HTML 5 project in Captivate 8, my project plays fine when i preview in web browser, but when i upload to my LMS the project won't autoplay and the buttons don't work. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how to fix it?

I can partially answer my own question (if anyone is having the same issue): I disabled the sound click on the buttons and also deselected "Hide Selection rectangle for slide items in HTML5." I'm not sure which provided the fix (or if it is a combination of both) but the buttons now function the way I want (Note: this is a responsive project).
I still can't get the course to auto play. I wonder if that is an LMS thing because it autoplays when I preview the project in browser...

Picture hyperlinks not working when published? Please help....

Some of the hyperlinks to my pictures do not work when I publish to my folder. I´ve tried to empty Safaris cache but it still doesn´t work. Please help me, pretty urgent....

The work around is to leave iWeb default nav bar and header enabled, add your home made nav bar (outside/below of iWeb default nav bar).
Then turn off iWeb nav bar and header when you are done.

Comments Not Working on Website - published to non-.mac server

Hi there. I've read on a few non-apple sites of users having trouble with Comments and some other functions of their websites, built in iWeb, not working when they publish to a non-.mac server. I've built my website in iWeb, published via CyberDuck to a BlueHost server -- but now users can not post comments on my blog.
Has anyone found a way to fix this issue??
It seems incredibly pointless to even now have my own domain. I'm super close to giving up on iWeb all together because of this ridiculous issue.

Unfortunately, blog comments are a MobileMe only feature along with the hit counter etc.
You have to publish to MobileMe if you want these features.
There are workarounds however. If you want to continue to use an iWeb blog, then you can use a third party comments feature. Take a look here http://www.intensedebate.com. It is free to set up on the site and all you then do is copy and paste the code into an html snippet on the page you want comments to appear in whatever format you want them.
Your other option is to ditch iWeb and if it is just a blog you want, use something like http://www.wordpress.com. This is free and you don't need a domain name and the blog is published on WordPress servers.
Your other option for a blog is http://www.posterous.com.
The iWeb blog system is not that good, so you might look into changing if a blog is what you want rather than a website.

Spry horizontal menu bar and accordion panels not working when published

Hi,
I'm a newbie to Dreamweaver and have been asked to design an intranet site. On the site, I added both Spry widgets for a horizontal menu bar and an accordion panel. Both of these widgets work in preview, however, neither work when I publish. I uploaded the Spry asset folder (with all the CSS and JS files) to the remote server, but still no luck. What am I missing?

Despite of what you have staed, my bet is on the fact that the SpryAssets folder and/or the included files are not being found by your page..
Open the site in FF, click on view Source and in the source code click the link to the JS file. If it can be found, it will show the content of the file and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that the page can find the file.
If it does not show the content, you need to correct that.

Rollover Slidelets not working when published

Hi,
I'm using CP5.5 for a course that uses numerous rollover slidelets. Everything works as expected when previewing the slides in Captivate however the rollover slidelets do not work when the course is published and viewed in a browser.
Any idea what could be causing this?

Your project file may be experiencing some corruption. Did you insert each of these slidelets using the Insert menu or did you perchance just copy and paste them from the same one? I've seen that practice cause issues sometimes.
Try creating a new blank project and then insert a few test slidelets using the Edit menu. Do they work when this project is published? If so, at least you know your Cp install is fine.

It may be that the corruption is limited to one or more slides and you can resolve it by rebuilding those slides.

Date comparision not working in BI-Publisher in one scenario.

Iam using sqlquery as a datamodel for BI-Publisher report. I have a requirement that the input parameters startdate and endate are Date types. When the user enters startdate and enddate and clicks on view, the report should show data which falls in between those dates.
Here is the sample query i used.
select * from
table1
where begintime >= :p_StartDate and begintime <=:p_EndDate
Here begintime is a timestamp and p_StartDate and p_EndDate are just dates. So when comparing begintime with p_StartDate/p_EndDate, i guess its taking default time from that date and because of that the comparision is failing in 1 case. i.e, In the above query, though the comparision operator is >= or <= , ultimately > or < is getting effective. So to acheive the actual result, I need to give one day more for start and end dates.
However I found a way to acheive this without adding extra day to both the dates. Here it is :
select * from table1 where
( begintime >= to_timestamp(to_char(:p_StartDate) || '00 00 00', 'DD Mon YYYY HH24 MI SS')) and
( begintime <= to_timestamp(to_char(:p_EndDate) || '23 59 59', 'DD Mon YYYY HH24 MI SS'))
But the above is working in sqleditor like jdeveloper database navigator. But not working in BI-Publisher.
BI-Publisher is throwing error saying
"ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire input string"
Please help as to how to go about this problem or any alternative solution.

I think it will be fine to trunc the begin time since :p_StartDate and p_EndDate are just dates without time stamp
i.e:
select * from
table1
where trunc(begintime) >= :p_StartDate and trunc(begintime) <=:p_EndDate;

Javascript is not working in the published file

Hi ,
I using the javascript in the captivate 5.5 to generate the text from variable in the textbox. It is working when I press the F12 button, But it is not working in the Published file.
I called the function in the button and I written the script in the slide.
Please let us know how to proceed..

Right-Clicks are not working when burned to disc.

Hi,
I need to use some right clicks in my course.
They work when I publish the file to my desktop or Server (unchecking 'Enable Accessiblity' and using 'Flash Global Settings'), however when I then burn the files to disc to give to a client, the right clicks do not work.
The course is made in Captivate 5.5 and is published to Flash 9.
Any ideas??

Excel Functions Do Not Work When Data Source is BW

Hello,
My platform is, BOBJ BI 4.0. Data source is SAP BW. BW is connected to XCelsius with BEx. My problem is, excel functions do not work when data source is BW. For example, Excel cell A1=quantity1 B1= quantity2 C1= excel function "=A1+B1" When data source is Excel, for example A1=5, B1=9 C1 automatically equals to 14. (There is no problem when data source is Excel) But, in BW, for example when BW set values to A1=5, B1=9, the system does not calculate C1. C1 always equals to initial value, the system does not care any excel calculation when data source is BW. Any guess for my problem? Thank you for your effort.

As you are using very simple formula,it will work no matter which source you are consuming.As mentioned,try to place a simple component(Eg:spreadsheet),just to check whether you are getting the right calculated value or not.
As you are using BW as source,the Preview option will not show the runtime data,so you need to publish in Portal to check whether the calculation happened or not.
As far as I know only few fromulas are supported in Xcelsius,but these kind of simple formulas are very much supported.

Scheduling is not working in BI Publisher

Hi all,
I am trying to schedule the report on BI publisher it's giving the following error:
oracle.apps.xdo.servlet.scheduler.ProcessingException: java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12519, TNS:no appropriate service handler found
The Connection descriptor used by the client was: localhost:1521:xe (I am using oracle database 10g and obiee 10.1.3.2).
I have followed the instructions provided in the link "Exploring Advanced Features of Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher"
Created mail server as instructed in the link ...
Problems are:
Unable to connect incoming and outgoing mail servers. I have used my machine host name i.e user as both incoming and outgoing server (u.ser.com)
also Scheduled jobs are not working in BI publisher.
Please let me know the solution for the above problem.
