I 60MB folder titled e3xuyg2m.default in consistently created and I cannot seem to permanenly remove it. Can you help?

Hi all: A folder titled e3xuyg2m.default is constantly created in c:\user\[my computer name]\appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\profiles\e3xuyg2m.default\cache\... I have tried to remove it using CCleaner, but it just won't go away. This only occurs on one of my laptops and desktops. Therefore, I've come to the conclusion that it is not a necessary files and I have doubts whether or not it's malicious. I don't have any plug-ins in my Firefox, other than the fundamentals. I Googled the file name and NOTHING comes up... which is stranger still.
Can anyone please shed some light on this? Aside from being utterly annoying, it's disconcerting.

Note that Firefox uses two locations for the profile folder, one for the main profile folder in AppData\Roaming and a second location for other (larger) files in AppData\Local that are more frequently updated to avoid issues with profiles located on the network storage device.

Note that it is sufficient to set Firefox to clear the Cache when you close Firefox to disable the disk cache and leave the memory cache as you can see on the about:cache page.

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one.

What folder structure?
If you're referring to how Aperture stores the originals in a managed library then the answer is you can't change it.
If having the originals stored in a specific file structure is important to you you will need to switch to a referenced original setup.

Firefox conintually creates a folder in my cache that is 60MB. It's titled e3xuyg2m.default. How can I get rid of it permanently?

I've noticed a folder is created and I have no clue what it's for. All I know is that it is created in the C:\Users\[My Computer Name]\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\e3xuyg2m.default and it's bulky, 60MB! It's creating a number of files within the cache folder. I have tried to remove it using CCleaner, but no permanent solution. This does not happen on my other computers, only my laptop. Therefore I'm coming to the conclusion it's not a necessary file. Is it malicious? How can I permanently remove it? Aside from being questionable, it's weighing down my computer.

hello tomterrimort, if your manual changes don't 'stick' after a restart of the browser, please look out for any suspicious extensions (like 3rd-party-toolbars or things you have not installed intentionally) presently installed under '''firefox/tools > addons > extensions''' or the programs section of the windows control panel and remove those entries.
in case this doesn't solve the issue please try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named '''user.js''' (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.

Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID - sign out and then sign in with the correct ID. You can do this in the App store as well at the bottom of the screen in the featured tab and you can also do it in iTunes at the bottom of the screen in the featured tab.

If anyone is having this issue, I had to change more than just the keyword.url.
Here are the steps I took:
Open Firefox and type about:config
Then I changed:
browser.search.defaultenginename to google
browser.search.defaulturl to www.google.com
keyword.url right click {reset} or set = http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=
Then I restarted Firefox.
Consider this another complaint against Yahoo's unclear messaging. I do use Yahoo for some things and I thought perhaps they were going to improve interoperability between services, I guess Microsoft is rubbing off on them.

Firefox cannot get to the web because the MS update conflicts with my default browser FF. I tried a system restore point before the explorer 9 update, but it didn't clear the MS update troubleshooter with the FF logo and I can not get to my browser directly.

I can't help you with that software in particular but I suggest you to try Xpadder, I also have the microsoft xbox 360 gamepad and it works as far as I know
