I accidentally deleted a document and I learned how in one to one to get it back, but I am so perfect as a 72 year old I JUST FORGOT Help.

I accidentally deleted a document. I learned how to get it back in one to one but I'm 72  and forgot?

If you moved it to the Trash, but haven't yet emptied the Trash, it's still in the Trash.
If you did empty the Trash, and you have backups, restore it from a backup.
If you emptied the Trash and have no backups, it's gone.

  • OMG, I accidentally deleted my iPhoto and emptied the trash, is there any way to get it back?

Please help! I'm having a heart attack right now, I accidentally deleted my iPhoto that has hundreds of pictures and I have already emptied the trash, please tell me if there is any way I can get it back?

If you have not backed it up, then your only option is to stop using the computer immediately, as further use will risk writting over the sectors of your HDD, and make it difficult to recover.
Now the recovery process is long, and expensive, and your files may not be in any particular order. There may be millions of files to sift through.
You would need to use a program like Data Rescue 3, and pull out your HDD, and plug it as an external into another machine.
Or you could spend thousands having it done professionally.
For "hundreds", is it worth it?

  • I updated the version to my i phone 4 and deleted my photos and contacts...is there a way to get them back...i am not sure i backed up the data

i updated the version to my i phone 4 and deleted my photos and contacts...is there a way to get them back...i am not sure i backed up the data

Contacts are synced with a compatible programme on your computer (Outlook, Windows Contacts, Address book etc) or with a cloud service (iCLoud, Google, Yahoo). Sync your contacts back from wherever you were making the backup of them. If you have not been backing them anywhere, then they are most likely gone.
If you updated the iOS through iTunes and assuming that your photos were present at the time of update and you deleted the photos afterwards; you may try restoring the iPhone from the last backup, provided that you had not synced your iPhone after deleting the photos.

  • I accidentally deleted the actual folders in my history "library." I need to get them back/make new ones. How can I do this?

I have searched support but only find answers like "wait a few days and the folders will return." I need all the standard folders back like "today", "yesterday", "last 7 days", etc. Thank you.

Apologies for jumping in. This will not be a quick fix or even a complete fix, it may not even work; but it may be important you act quickly to get any fix!
Better still swap the HDD over and use another OS to clone and recover !
I guess it depends on exactly what you did, and the efforts you are prepared to use to attempt to recover the History.
Immediately back up your Firefox profile. That at least preserves your rolling bookmarks backups and whatever History you do have. Preferably back it up to another machine.
Now consider leaving that computer alone and using another machine. You can always load that profile on another machine and use it (or preferably yet another copy of it) and see what it contains. (search for a colon : that covers most History)
Assuming you did delete the history then with luck and timely action you may get some of it back using an undelete utility. (Followed maybe with a sqlite editor to stitch portions back together) download something like recuva : http://www.piriform.com/recuva
Recovering a whole profile or a whole history is difficult and probably unlikely, but I seem to recall some have succeed with this in the past.

  • I've accidentally deleted my itube app with lots of music on. Can I get it back?

  • Desperately need help, the laptop my mum syncs to isn't here so we put songs on it from mine and I accidentally erased her photos and notes. Is there anyway possible I can get them back?

    PLEASE!

Here are the instructions, as I have them:
Press the Command + s key during startup. This takes you to Single User Mode, where you will see a command line.
Type this when the command-line prompt (>) appears:
    mount -uw /
    rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
    shutdown -h now
When the iBook restarts, you will see the setup screen. This allows you to create a new account. BE SURE to give yourself administrative privileges. You can now use this new account and set it to log in automatically with this new account if you don't want to be bothered with the login screen every time you start up.
You can also delete the old account if you want to free up some hard drive space.
    Good luck!

However, it is desirable to do it with the disc, if it is available, which is why I waited to see if the user has the disc before supplying the instructions for doing it via Single User Mode.

  • How to I locate and delete duplicate documents and files

I am trying to clean up my macbook and want to find and delete duplicate documents and files.  How do I do this?

Finding duplicate files is something a lot of people do.  I do not understand why Apple hasn't built it as part of Smart Folders?  It would have taken a good coder only 1 hour of work to do that!
Pathetic of Apple, really pathetic!  A prime example of crippleware!

  • I accidentally deleted the documents folder from my hard drive. can I recover it?

I accidentally deleted the documents folder (and its contents) from my ibook hard drive. Can I recover it?

It takes a really expensive data recovery service to get back things that have been deleted.
You could try Data Rescue 3, if you're desperate to get the documents back.
    http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue.php
    System Requirements:
    http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue_sysreq.php
If you want to try this, stop using the iBook immediately, and wait until you get the recovery software because every time you save something to your hard drive (even if it's only a link in your browser history), you risk overwriting the files you deleted.

  • When i tried to sync my new iPhone to Itunes, I accidentally clicked on sync with my ipod, instead of creating a new one. So now my iphone is the replica of my ipod, deleting my contacts and pictures etc. Is there a way to get it restored?

Only if a backup of the iPhone with all that data on it exists.  If one does, restore the iPhone using that backup.

I accidentally deleted the game Secret Passages. How do I retrieve the saved levels and scores on game center?

You should be able to redownload the game without cost. However, the levels/scores are gone unless you have a backup in iCloud or on your computer. Some on-line games store the levels/scores on the game's servers, not on the iDevice.

  • HT201356 I have accidentally deleted my alternate iCloud (email) address. Are there any possibilities to retrieve it back because my iPad is connected to that email address, and now, I can't log out from it on my iPad, because it doesn't exist?

I have accidentally deleted my alternate iCloud (email) address. Are there any possibilities to retrieve it back because my iPad is connected to that email address, and now, I can't log out from it on my iPad, because it doesn't exist.
I have alternate icloud email attached to my iPad and I accidentally delete it from appleid.apple.com. And now I can't log out that iCloud account because it doesn't exist and it can't recognize my password.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • I accidentally deleted my Photoshop CC 1 application, how do I reinstall it?

I accidentally deleted my Photoshop CC 1 application, how do I reinstall it?

There are advantages of using the direct download and installing over what is installed. It is the way I have been able to back out a buggy Adobe CC update.   You do not need to backup yous system first and remove all of Adobe's software and clean your system of residual Adobe rat droppings. Downloading is not part of the installation for you have downloaded.  You also now have your own copy of the install should you have problems in the future to re-install with.  When you do install your activation is still intact and all that you have added to Photoshop is still there and functional and does not need to be re-installed.  You do need to use menu Help>Updates to update CC for the install install CC version 14.0 The normal install will most likely do the same and need to be updated.  Don't know for sure I only installed CC that way the first time I installed CC.   The other two Installs I did were from the direct install.  One was to back out Adobe bad CC update.   You can also download all the CC updates and selectively install the ones you need. It took Adobe a month to fix their bad CC update.   The other install I had to do was to recover some CC file that became corrupt which caused some other CC update to fail to install.   After the re-install the update installed without a problem.  CC updates can be downloaded from All the Adobe CC Updates: The Direct Download Links for Windows | ProDesignTools
