I already updated to iOS 5.0.1, but i tried to restore it and iTunes says i need to update it to iOS 5.0.1?
My iPhone 3GS software is on iOS 5.0.1 with iCloud and everything. I want to restore it and everytime i click restore, it says an update is availabe (not on the summary screen) and i need to update it before i restore it. If i click okay, it downloads the 5.0.1, then an error message pops up saying that an error occured and it cannot update. Anybody know how to fix this? Any suggestions helpful

Temporarily disable all Anti-Virus and Firewall software on the computer, does the problem persist?

You need to purchase a retail Leopard install disk or Snow Leopard upgrade disk(if your computer meets requirements for SL). Then update iTunes to 10.1 or greater. Check eBay or Amazon for retail Leopard Disks. You can also try calling AppleCare.

Installed latest 11.2 Flash Player and drmtest says I need to update
I installed the latest version of Flash but I still cannot watch video on Amazon Instant. Contacted Amazon and uninstalled latest version and re-installed old version. Still didn't work. I updated Java. Still didn't work. I restarted the computer and it still doesn't work. I re-installed the latest version of Flash and it still doesn't work. I searched for "native cache" and finder doesnt' find any file by that name. I went to the Adobe Flash Acess Sample Video Player and it says I need the latest version of Flash. But I HAVE the latest verson of Flash - so it's not Amazon or Mac its Adobe and this website is not very helpful so far. Does anyone know why this product doesn't work? I've been troubleshooting and looking for help for 3 hours.
I am running on Mac OS X 10.6Hello. I have almost the same problem it seems.
I have reinstalled Adobe Flash Player (latest), used the Uninstaller from the website. It installs correctly.
Even tho it doesnt seem right when i check my programs installed.
Because before i had 2 Adobe Flash Player (i use CCleaner for this), I got the Adobe Flash Player Plugin 64-bit
and another at name Adobe Flash Player 11 something. And before i did the same thing as i did now.
But it should probably be only the Plugin one.
Anyways. When i try to watch Youtube videos, it won't use Flash Player at all. And Firefox says
i have Flash Player, and its up to date and everything. But Youtube wont use it. Some do odd enough.
Vimeo use it tho.
And now i came across this thread, and i tried that Profile thing you told. And it does work with a new profile.
With the same Youtube video (copy link from old Profile). So i guess it's the profile that's broken.

trying to update a plugin, I do, then reboot but when I check the plugin checker says I need to update it.

Ok when i plug in my iPod a popup says some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the ipod because your ipod software is too old. Go to summery tab in iPod preferences and click update to get the latest ipod software. But i do have the latest software and on itunes where it says update it is grayed out so what do i do please help me thanks, Hayley
hmmmm. while the ipod is plugged in, in itunes go "help > check for updates". after it says you're up to date with your itunes, do you get another message asking you to update your firmware?

If you are running 10.5.8, you should purchase the Snow Leopard install DVD from Apple and upgrade with the to 10.6 for starters.

Verizon iPhone 4 cannot update to Firmware 4.3 yet. Currently it is at 4.2.8 so you are up to date.

Your iTunes library is not touched when installing an iTunes update - the same if you delete and reinstall iTunes.
If you use Word on your PC for word processing - your Word documents are not touched when installing a Word application update. The same applies when installing an iTunes update.
Always a good idea to include your iTunes library with your computer's backup along with all other important data such as documents, photos, etc. for a number of reasons.

You cannot download Mac OS X 10.6, you must purchase it for $20 US from the Apple on-line store...click Store upper left of browser window, then search on Snow Lion to get the order information. Once purchased and installed you can do an on-line software update to version 10.6.8.
