I am so stuck on something that's supposed to be simple

Question

I am to write a program that asks the user for an employee name, hourly rate of pay and how many hours that employee worked. Then it is to display what the total pay for that employee is. Here is what I have so far:

Have you ever heard someone in a store say, "wrap it up"? They mean, putting the thing that they're buying inside of some paper, and then fold the paper around so the stuff they're buying is inside the paper. That's also called "wrapping". You may have received presents at some point in your life, say around December. That colorful paper that was around the boxes? That's called "wrapping paper".
Don't assume that every term is bizarre jargon.
If I knew all of the jargon and protocols (let alone how to execute them) I probably wouldn't be here.I think it's less a matter of jargon, than it is (1) paying attention (such as, to the formatting controls above the text input box), and (2) not panicking.
