I am suddenly unable to update or download apps on my iphone 3G.  It says "the download will be available after you log in to itunes from your computer." I never had to do that before.  Even when I do log in from the computer, it still doesn't work.

I never had to do that before.  Even when I do log in from the computer, the download still doesn't work.  So what's going on?  Why would I need to go the computer to download an app to my phone?  That defeats the whole purpose of having the phone, which is to do stuff when you are not at the computer!@!@  Any help greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

- Try a reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Nework Settings. You will have rejoin networks
- Go to Settings>Store and sign out of account and sign back ino
Do you have a very slow wif connection on the iPod?
Have you tied connecting to another network?

    Same problem here, after istalling ios 6 on my iphone 4s my auto lock didnt work, but when i closed my assistive touch it worked again..I didnt have this problem in the 5.1.1 version. I dont wanna close the assistive touch tough....annoying problem !!!
    Another problem occured in the settings of alarm clock. The sensivity of the on-off button is not as good as in the 5.1.1 version...
    Hope they will fix this problem soon !!!

  • My mac has10.5.8 and should be compatible with new HP officejet pro 8600.  I can't get it to install for wireless, nor to work with USB cable.  Have tried downloading HP install directly from HP and it still doesn't work.

    I just bought a new HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 printer.  I have been unable to download the installation for wireless connection even though have had the assistance of Costco tech, HP tech and some advice from Apple.  Because the system is MacOs 10.5.8 the error says it is incompatible, even though the product lists compatiblilty with 10.5, 10.6.   I was advised 1 option might be to obtain Snow Leopard for installation, however am somewhat reluctant as the bo states 10.5 should work and Snow Leopard is 10.6, which is also listed as compatible.  I am unable to get the printer to work even with USB cable.  Too much time spent on this and I hate to start over with another printer because I'm afraid I might have the same trouble.  Is Snow Leopard something I should get anyway?  Help!

    - iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer          
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    I'm aware that I can go into the about:config screen and toggle a couple of settings but the real question is "Why is this still a problem since version 4?" Why bother to have Preferences at all, if the given solution is always to tweak the config?

    This hint was posted on a similar link that works for me. Here is what to do:
    In option -> privacy -> choose "use custom history setting" and choose your preference for history and cookie setting. and then click "OK'.
    Then you will get the warning when closing multiple tabs.
    It doesn't seem to be related but it does affect the operation of the other part of the software that issues the warning.

    It seems you are unable to access your Apple ID to make purchases. The following article provides the steps you'll need to take to access it again:
    If your Apple ID has been locked - Apple Support
    If you or someone else enters your password incorrectly too many times, your Apple ID will automatically be locked to protect your security.  
    You might see one of these alerts:
    “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons”
    "You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons"
