I am trying to download CS6 onto a new computer and the file downloads quickly but the unpacking process is moving at a speed that will take days to complete. Is this proper or is there an issue?

Can anyone provide any tips on how to get the stand alone version of cs6 onto my new computer in a timely fashion. I have the serial number from my account but the unpacking process is taking a ridiculous amount of time. When I purchased the CS6 version on an old machine the download process was speedy and efficient.

Then it should be the same. Perhaps something on your computer is reducing the speed. Such as virus program, firewall, several background apps running, low on ram, low on drive space, and so on.

I've just downloaded itunes onto a new computer, and I'm currently downloading previously owned music from the cloud. However, it keeps sticking on various songs - it will get part of the way through and just stop, this seems to happen to about 1 in 10 songs. How do I get round this?
Also, once I've finished dowloading from the cloud, how do I get my library to display only the songs I've downloaded, and not all the other ones that I don't want anymore?

On the new laptop, launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer.

If it's a fourth generation or earlier model, you need to download iTunes 10.6.3; the newer versions won't run on 10.5.8.
If it's a fifth generation iPod touch, you need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, which requires an Intel Mac, and then run Software Update. This also works with earlier iPods but isn't the best solution.

I have bought 3 iPod's within the past four years, and 2 out of the 3 are registered to other people boy was I mad when apple said they couldn't do anything, but at least I could still put music on there. Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
