I am trying to install an extension that requires FF 4.0. I downloaded 4.0 yet the extentsion says I still have 3.6.16 when trying to install.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF several times. When I try to install the extension (that requires FF 4.0), I get a pop-up that says I am still using an older version of FF and asks if I want to upgrade. When I click on "About Firefox", it says I have 4.0. In February, I downloaded FF Beta which I understand could be a problem. I also have read that you need to manually delete Beta files which I have done. I did a system search to see if any Beta files exist and no further files were found. I just want to make sure FF 4.0 is installed and be able to install the FGS extension.

Can you instruct me on how to view this article. This is the first time I have ever had to refer to Mozilla Help. I have tried to do this on my own, but am having difficulty. Thanks for your help.

When I run "Verify Java Version" it show nothing is installed... but it is, I know that for a fact because it shows in my "Control Panel/Programs/Programs and Features".

No, you can't change Firefox from 32-bt to 64-bit. There is a Nightly 64-bit version (alpha) of Firefox, but it is used only to test for regressions until development is resumed. -
I downloaded the 32 bit version of photoshop cc 2014. When trying to install I get the message that installer failed to initialize and that this could be due to a missing file. Has anybody a solution>?
Did you unzip the entire contents of the download zip file onto your hard drive before running the installer? You need to do that.

had an add on installed somehow called searchqu. It will not allow me to have msn as my home page. I removed the add on and still have the same trouble.

It is important not to interrupt the process of Updating BIOS and also Formatting the laptop. Have you tried to access BIOS again? What is the complete model name of the laptop? You may try to reset BIOS then test the unit. Or try to reseat the CMOS battery of the laptop.

Microsoft has not written Internet Exporer for Mac for years but you could try this work around.
With Safari open, from the menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Back to the menu bar click Develop > User Agent then select Internet Explorer 10.0
Then try that website.
No guarantees that will work. -

You will not lose everything on you phone if you backup prior to updating. You can do it maunaully (simply by syncing your phone with itunes) but when you update iTunes will prompt you do back up your phone anyways. After you've updated you can reload everything on to your phone with the itunes back up.
