How do I turn off private browsing? I have gone into settings, safari, but can't find private browsing, I have the iOS 7
if you're on iOS7. the private features moved into the app. Open a new tab, and look below, you'll see a "Private" button.

When trying to turn off compatibility mode on my itunes i dont have a compatibility tab after right clicking properties. Can any one help???
Hi Roger
Thank you for your reply.
My original feed is: http://casa-egypt.com/feed/
However, because I modified the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast and nothing changed, I redirected it to another feed and then I deleted this feed.
Is there any way to change the feed in itunes? The only feed I have now is http://feeds.feedburner.com/CasaEgyptStation
I tried to restore the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast but feedburner refused.
I know that I missed things up but I still have hope in working things out.
Thanks is advance.
Dina

I'm trying to update my iPad to ios5, as I want Sky Go on it to watch the cricket, so I've gone thru Settings, General, but there is no update available...what am I doing wrong? Or is this iPad not able to get updates? Thanks
You only have the option if you are already running iOS 5. If you are trying to update the iOS, you have to use iTunes on a computer to update the iPad.
There are some important things that you should know before you update.

The updating instructions are in this article. Make sure you read the part about using iTunes.

I have I tunes and photos in pictures in my mac OS 10.8.5. I am trying to transfer them by backing up with a stick to my HP, windows 8?
Hey carolmonline,
Thanks for the question. For iTunes, see this article for information on transferring your library to a new computer (via the external drive option):
iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
For your photos, it sounds like they are located in your Pictures folder. You can simply copy the photos to a new folder on your external drive for transfer to your new computer.
Thanks,

Please see question in heading and let me know why I can't use Ipod match on my new ipod touch. Thanks.
Have you subscribed to iTunes match in iTunes on a computer under the same Apple ID used on the iPod?

Forsome reason, after two years, my E Pad is refusing to go to my att.Yahoo e mail...It says to go to Settings Safari Private Browsing and turn off Private Browsing. There is not place on the Safrari page that gives me Private Browsing. It explains it as being dark when turned on, but no place to turn it on or off. Also it seems to go to Yahoo Mail instead of Att..Yahoo when it gives me the above message....Any One know what todo?
As of iOS 7, private browsing is not longer handled in the Settings app, but in Safari directly. The only Settings function for Safari that may impact this would be Block cookies.
Private browsing is turned on and off in Safari using the button in teh lower left of the Safari screen (if you do not see this, tap the + icon in the upper right to pull up an empty tab). -
I am receiving a message when going to a web site to turn off private browsing but Safari doesn't provide me the option to turn this off. As a matter of fact it doesn't show the option at all. Anyone know how to remedy this?
Tap the blue + sign in the upper right corner of the Safari toolbar to open a new tab. Then look in the lower left portion of the screen for the word "Private". Tap that to turn off private browsing.

After turning off private browsing Safari crashes immediately upon launch.
After turning off private browsing Safari crashes immediately upon launch. I tried soft-resetting, and clearing my cookies and cache. I basically launches in private browsing mode and then immediately tries to switch to regular browsing. When the screen changes, it crashes to desktop.
Any ideas, other than wiping my iPad?
(I'm using iOS 5, of course, but it is not available under the Operating System dropdown in this forum)I'm seeing the same problem, and it was repeatable for me. iPad (original 3G, 64GB), iOS 5. (There are now a couple threads with this same problem.)
Once the crashes start, it would continue to crash every time I tried to bring up Safari. It crashes just as it finishes showing the tool bars, but before any content is displayed.
Manually killing the app did not make the problem go away.
One time, shutting down and restarting the iPad fixed it, but that solution did not work the next time I went in and out of Private browsing. Also, once the crashing begins, going back into Private browsing did not stop the crashing.
The last time it got into the crashing condition, I stopped the crashing by turning off the setting to display the Bookmark bar. Strange!
I have like 20 Safari crash logs that I hope will get auto-sent to Apple sometime today (I reenabled the send data to Apple option). -
Since the latest Win 7 update -- Tue 16th -- in particular FF has been getting slower.
Tonight with FF20 using ADblock Plus and NoScript addins I have no option to turn off private browsing and when attempting to resart in safe mode I do not get the warning message.
Have tried a reset and restart but FF remains the same not responding and freqent crashes.Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
#*'''Windows:'''
#**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
#**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you! -
I can not turn off private browsing. I tried everything in the other discussions and I do not get the icon for private anywhere, not on keypad or not when I try to type in the address bar or at the bottom
With IOS 8 tap the two boxes in the upper right corner then private on the next page.
