What version? I ask because it's kind of a non-concern with a Creative Cloud subscription.
If you have a perpetual license, you can clear up your activation records by calling Adobe Customer Support. If you go to their main page by clicking the red logo at the top of this page, it takes some doing but you can drill down to where you can get a phone number.

Because usually, when a product is discontinued, a store would drop the price to get rid of old stock (of a product that the manufacturer has decided is no longer popular).

Wait. As per the suggestion in my previous post. There is after all, already an iPhone with 128GB capacity. Technically therefore, that would suggest that it is possible to produce a replacement for the Classic. But since I have no inside knowledge of anything Apple are planning, don't quote me on that!
Work on the basis that since your iPod is only "on its last legs" rather than "not working at all", it still has a useful purpose. Maybe by the time it does stop working, suggestion 1 will have come to pass.
I have no practical suggestion for avoiding a touch screen, it's the modern way!
Of course, if all else fails, and you end up with an iPod that has less capacity than your Library, you could resort to using Smart Playlists to manage your iPod, by using them to add and remove songs (for example, ones recently played that you don't want to hear for a while) and thereby keeping the songs on the iPod within its capacity. If that interests you, please ask and I'll explain it in more detail.

When i try to AirPrint, the only option i get is 4 x 6 and there seems to be no way to change it. Is there a setting that I am not seeing? (using iMac w/ Yosemite.)The printer is a Canon MG7520.

i had many problems setting this printer (Canon MX7520) with my Mac so i don't want to reset the settings since I got most of them to work now. However, now it seems that whenever i try to AirPrint a document, it wants to print to 4x6 (photo) paper and not the regular paper. ok...I'm only talking about printing from an iOs device. The first time I set up the printer, all the documents printed to regular paper (tray #2) and photos would print to the 4 x 6 tray (tray #1.) However, there were other problems with the printer so I reset everything. Now when I 'AirPrint', it prints all documents to the 4 x 6 tray (tray #1). Something has been changed, but I'm not sure how nor how to fix it.

Apple won't replace an iPhone under warranty if the iPhone has been opened/tinkered with by you or by a 3rd party, but they may under Apple's out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price.
