Hi Jen. My daughter just compleated her nursing program and is now working as a full time nurse. Focus and study hard and soon you will be there too. Now to the problem at hand. I have the same problem. I gave up on it and satisfied myself with my iPod without the upgrade. Reason being I've read so many posts of people having problems after the upgrade. But I'm sure other factors are involved. Nevertheless here is the fix most say works to solve the problem: What ever virus protection you have installed on your computer, disable it. Then try to install the update. After that enable the protection. I had Kaspersky, and it does it's job well. The thinking is, the virus protection is blocking the upgrade. Hope this works. Charlie

when i try to set up icloud on my iphone 4S, i am asked for an email account, which i supply. icloud then saya to check my email for further instructions. The problem is, the email never arrives in my mailbox. Check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. -
I just can't seem to find all the music I bought on itunes since I downloaded updates for my iphone today. I followed the suggestions in the support area, but it's still a mystery where it's gone. Any ideas please?
ThanksI take it you didn't transfer purchases BEFORE you attempted to update your phone? If that's the case and you live in the US you can look at your purchase history and re-download the purchased music using iTunes. If you're outside the US, you're out of luck.

whilst downloading the update to my ipad a screen is up ..the power plug a small arrow above and the itunes logo above that.. it has been there for at least 2 hours... why?? ..or what to do??
wellllll.... it was fixed in 15-20 min at the store.... using the same method you suggested ...go figure.... perhaps my wi-fi was a bit wobbly.... who knows.... most of the info was restored through the cloud... lost my pics, but thats not crucial......they are all elswhere... so your tip was spot on, and i appreciate you help.... thanks again !!

I am receiving a message that my ID has been disabled, and I followed the steps to change the password, but still receive the same message. Cannot access app store or do updates.
In what way are you receiving this message? It is very common to get an email telling you that your ID has been disabled, and asking you to confirm all your details so the sender can steal your identity online.....

I received and email from Apple Customer Support that my Id has been stolen and that I am to sign into the link provided and update by changing password. I am not certain that the email came from Apple.
It did not come from Apple. Do not click on the link and do not supply your password. It is a scam. You can report the phishing email to Apple here:

Once you have done so, delete it.

Maybe a long shot, but WD is not known for the quality of some of their enclosures, although I do like the drives themselves. It may be worth mounting this drive in a different enclosure, something like one of OWC's FireWire enclosures with the highly reliable Oxford chip sets. I wouldn't be inclined to trust a WD enclosure, especially if it already seemed to be acting in a flakey manner.

I have 3 of these and I really like them.
From what I understand, if the drive spins up, it is often possible to recover data from it. To be absolutely certain to destroy the data, you just about have to take a hammer to the disk. Hopefully, there will be a way to get your data back.

I had backed-up my iPhone and when I try to restore it it says that the back-up is corrupt or the iPhone is not compatible. I had a bunch of pictures that I need from that restore. Is there any way to get them back? I did the back-up to my Macbook
If the backup is corrupt, there is nothing that can be done.
For what reason did you choose to not copy the pictures off the device to a computer prior to attemping an update or whatever caused the need to restore? iPhones are not intended as sole storage of any media. -
I bought a HD and the Itunes Stores say that the movie (Pretty Women) has Itunes Extras. Why I can not find it? It is a mistake from Apple? What happen if I buy the movie because the Extras and now I can not watch it? I have an Ipad last generation.
What version of iOS do you have on your iPad (Settings > General > About > Version), and is it connected to wifi ?

Just downgraded back to iTunes 10.7 and copied music from ipod classic to itunes using houdini, but how do i copy the playlists from the ipod when itunes says that my ipod has been synced to another itunes library?

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(

im trying to change my password for my apple id but its says that my account has been disabled for security reasons, how can i solve this problem?
Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it -
iPod nano version 6: random turn off, volume controls don't work, does not turn off, skip does not work. Two years old! Next version of nano has no clip and same amount of storage. I do not want to give up my version 6!

How do you actually know where a Spotlight file is? I mean all well and good Spotlight identifies it but I want to know which file has been identified and where it is......
To know where the Spotlight file is, highlight it in Spotlight and hold the Command key, so you will see its location at the bottom of the window

2.20 GB RAM usable by windows 7 out of 8GB RAM
I recently installed Windows 7 Professional 32bits on my Macbook Pro using Boot camp. My macbook comes with 8gb RAM. However i just noticed that only 2.20gb of this is usable by Windows. Can anyone educate me why this is so and how i can increase it?
