Disable your firewall and your antivirus and try again, after successfully install, enable it again.

Firefox continually says it "cannot find the server, try again" when I attempt to open it. What could be wrong?

When I click on any of the Firefox links on my desktop, a page usually opens saying that Firefox can't find the server. It then gives me the option in the form of a button in the lower left corner of the box, to try again. Sometimes clicking the button works and I am connected to the server, but often I have to close the page, wait a few minutes or even restart my computer, in order to connect to the server. It's extremely annoying.

One workarwound is to do the following:
1. Remove the digital content from iTunes (but keep the files)
2. Rename all .m4v files to .mp4 files
3. Add the files back to iTunes
This seems to fix the problem for me

While I was using Snow Leopard, everything was working fine; but after upgrading to Lion, my Mac Mini (2010) is unable to read any disks that have been burned. All store purchased disks work fine, but nothing I have tried has worked for the burned ones. Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong?

Well, I did notice a few things about the disk I used that were on that list. I'm going to try burning a new copy on a new disk that has few to no scratches, not mark on it, and keep it off max speed. I'll get back to you when it's done. That may take a while seeing as it's an ISO that I'm burning and it took a good 15 minutes at max speed.

Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

Running on Windows XP SP3. No problem whatsoever before upgrading to 27. Sending this from Chrome as I cannot open Firefox at all.

Thanks jschaer2000: after starting it once in safe mode, I closed Mozilla and tried several restarts in normal mode. So far, all worked:-)

Still the automatic update process bothers me: it took me several days to discover the reason to the malfunction, since when I removed the problematic version from Add and Remove Programs, I didn't pay attention at first that it was another version, not v26 which I installed from my folder.
In addition, I like to save the installation files before I run new programs and if I didn't have v26 exe file, I couldn't have operated Mozilla at all. Not that it was fun to remove and install again each time v27 didn't react, but it was better than nothing, I still prefer Mozilla over its competition.

Please give a bit more system details. Which OS and version are you on? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit. Try downloading the Creative Cloud App if not already installed from: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud. You can choose to install PS from withing this app and need not rely on web page.
