Unable to install Photoshop Elements 10 from DVD

I bought Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 bundled. Premiere installed correctly.
And I am able to run and register that product.
PE did not but gave no error message on installation. In fact it gave indication that installation was finished.
Shortcut links create were invalid. After reading fourms I found the link to the PE editor and created
that myself. However the Organizer software was not loaded onto my fairly new Windows7 computer.
[Hence there was no previous Adobe installations or issues related to that.] Since no organizer software exists, I seem unable to load
a image into the editor program. I am on my 3rd try of re-installing. Software uninstalls everytime
between installations.
Can someone point me with what to do next? I am very knowledgeable with computers.

If you installed Premiere Elements, Elements Organize must be already installed on your computer.
This might not be a perfect solution, but can you open Elements Organizer from Adobe Premiere Elements, import your content into Organizer, and then use the options in elements organizer to open that content in Photoshop Elements? You could alternatively post your query on the Photoshop Elements forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop_elements), or wait for an expert on this forum to get back to you with a better solution.

I am trying to reinstall Elements 10 on Win 7. I have a new hard drive. I can install Organizer but not Editor. It rolls back after trying to install Editor. I do not have the exact error message handy.
I have done an exhaustive review of the symptoms and applied the suggestions in every thread but no luck .
I downloaded a trial of Elements 13 which worked. Then I tried to install Elements 11 but without success.

I received a software download card to install photoshop elements 12 and premier elements 12 as a Christmas present. Having followed the instructions I have successfully installed photoshop elements 12 but have not been able to find the starting point to install premier elements 12. any Ideas ?

I am trying to install Adobe Premiere Elements 10. I am on a Mac and start with disc 3. It gets 51% done then exits with exit code 7 and the following message

Thanks for all the replies. Steve has the correct answer. I just do not understand why a program bought directly from Adobe would be shipped when Adobe knows it needs a fix. Why do they not at least note it with the shipment. Not everyone know to check this forum and most people assume a company like Adobe to sell only quality products.

the trial version 11 seems to install fine with no errors poping up but i have not tested that

It means what it says. At the time PSE 3 was new, the WM libraries were at version 8 and now we are at 11 (or 12/13, depending which version counting you use). It's simply not compatible because it can't hook up to the newer versions. short of upgrading to the latest, there is no way to make it running smoothly. However, PSE10 should run by using Win7 compatibility mode...

Hello John, My operating system is Windows 8.1 64 bit, well the disc I have is brand new, I actually got 2 discs with a new camera,I only bought on Tuesday.1; Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5;; ( no problem with this one ), 2; Adobe Premiere Elements 11, ( this was when the fun started ) I loaded the disc, followed all instructions on screen,, it downloaded until it came to approx 90%. then a window appeared saying there was an error and asked me to Retry, Abort or Ignore, I hit the retry button,, nothing happened, so I tried the ignore button, still nothing happened, so I tapped the ignore button again a few times , then it finished downloading, ( I thought this is great ) until the installation began, that went great until about 86% then the window popped up again ,, Retry; Abort or Ignore, but this time no matter what I did , it would not complete the installation, I tried this at least 10 times and everytime with the same results,so then I tried to download a 30 trial of Photoshop Elements 13, , yes you've guessed right, the exact same thing happened,I'd be very grateful for any help you might be able to give me.Kind Regard's,Barry.

Unable to install premiere element with student activation code?

I bought my student premiere element and photoshop combo pkg in October 2014. When I got home I could not install the program permanently without waiting for Adobe to accept my student ID and provide a serial number to install both. I received it but did not use my paid copy right away. Instead I used the schools. Now I am trying to install it (again, first one I deleted today) but no matter what I do it will not accept my 16 digit serial number. I have been working on this since 8 pm last night. Adobe would not answer on line. Today I went back to Best Buy they couldn't help me, but tried their best. The Geek Squad guy said I should contact Adobe. I have been waiting on hold for 30 minutes. I NEED TO GET THIS DOWNLOADED FOR A SCHOOL PROJECT. Any advice?

Unable to install Premiere Elements 13 upgrade

During the zip file extraction, it quickly jumps from 20% to 97% and then reports:
"A problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder."
There is over 800GB available on the drive and I am running as Administrator with full rights to the machine. As a result, I thought the zip file must have been corrupted during download. I have downloaded 3 times using two different browsers, a 4th time using the alternate download method, and a 5th time with all anti-virus and firewall protections temporarily disabled.
In all cases, I still receive the same error during the .zip file extraction.
Ideas?

Thanks for the response Jeff. I was eventually able to connect with Support through a Chat session. They provided links to download a trial version of Premiere Elements, which I was able to install and then apply my license. The Support rep said this is necessary in about 1% of the installation attempts, which is interesting since it has been necessary on both of my computers so far. I tried the same approach with Photoshop Elements, but the first attempt failed with a similar error. I am trying on the second computer now. It really should not be this difficult to install a purchased product. I also wasted over 3 hours on hold today attempting to get a refund (before I was able to connect with Support). Not a good experience.
