If T-Mobile in the US, while your phone will activate/work, you won't have FaceTime, MMS or 3G. T-Mobile, in the US, is not a supported iPhone carrier, thus all features of the iPhone may not be available. T-Mobile's 3G network, in the US, is not compatible with the iPhone.

i cannot sync my iphone music, i had used my i phone on another pc, which died. Ive managed to save the hard drive and transfer stuff across. I'm having a similar problem. I had previously (over a year ago) purchased 2 episodes of Law & Order. Then about 2 months ago, I purchased the 3rd season of Sons of Anarchy. When I downloaded these episodes to my iPad, about a dozen full seasons of various shows popped up, too. No money was removed from my iTunes account & theses particular shows aren't in my iTunes library on my desktop. I've tried every which way to delete them from my ipad, but can't. I went to the Apple store & they suggested I contact expresslane.apple.com for help. I submitted my problem, via email Friday, as they asked, but have not received any response. Any suggestions on how to get rid of these "phantoms?".

I have not been able to connect to the internet on my iPhone and iPad the past 36 hours.Went to the Apple store today and he said that maybe it will come back on it's own. That is the first time that I have been to the apple store with a disappointing resolve. Please help, there has to be an answer?
Your post says you have an iPhone 3G. Is it running iOS 4.2.1, which is the latest iOS it can run? Even if so, it's now quite old (nearly five years). That could be part of the problem.
Anyway, maybe you should delete your mail account (Settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -- if it was still called that back in the iOS 4.2.1 days), and start over.

The apple store is so unhelpful. I have an iMac computer operating on Mac OSX 10.5.8. I want to upgrade to the latest Mountain Lion operating system so I can work with the iCloud on my computer and download my emails. I can't seem to purchase this on-line as it keeps telling me to go to the app store. I haven't got the app store on my computer as I am told I need iCloud for which I need the new operating system, which I can't download or purchase as I am sent back to an instruction telling mee to go to the app store icon.
How difficult can it be to simply purchase the software on-line have it shipped to you so you can install it, in the event it cannot be downloaded as it appears it can't be based on my curent operating systems being Mac OSX 10.5.8.Requirements for OS X 10.6 'Snow Leopard'

Whilst Apple have withdrawn Snow Leopard from download, you can still get it from Apple by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE (if you are in the USA) and they will supply the SL DVD for $30. You can also purchase the code to use to download Lion from the same number.

I just received a new macbook pro. I am looking for a usb3 external storage 500 GB drive. Some manufacturers of drives aren't for sure their drive will work with the new system. Does anybody have any suggestions for drives that will workw
There seems to be a problem, just now, with the USB 3 ports on the new MBP's supporting eternal USB 3 drives. Some people have no luck at all - can't even recognize the drive - and some are reporting USB 2 speeds (those who drives are recognized). I'd call a dealer such as LaCie or OWC to see if they have USB 3 drives that actually work with MBP's with USB 3 ports. You may have to wait for a software/firmware update.

you are responsible for reinstalling any apps. It is not Apples responsibility as outline the the service agreement. Do you have the product key?

I have a first generation MacBook Air that has been refurbished via the Apple store. I installed Snow Leopard about a year ago and now, my computer wont update! It will download the updates restart my computer, but then I get an error message and the computer wont restart!
What is a error message and what do you see when it appears?
Haven't much problem with Airs around here, since they have a SSD they tend to be more reliable.
Perhaps it was a bad update, have you ran through this list of possible fixes?
Do as many as possible, starting with #1. Until the problem is resolved.
Use the boot 10.6 USB instead of the disk of course.

I just blew out the dust and turned it on again to the same problem.
So I tried holding the shift key which did something but then on reboot I got the same problem but this time worse, see here...
So I tried the alt key but that just gave me two startup disk options, both of which didn't work (they led to the same problem).
Then I tried CMD+s and followed your instructions, see below...
I just held the power button down and turned it on again and the same problem happened again.
Any further thoughts?

I had my I phone 4s replaced today at the Apple store. I previously backed it up on ICloud. I'm downloading from ICloud to the new phone. The pictures have been stuck on number 215 for an hour now. I've turned the phone off and on several times, but it won't progress in downloading the pictures. This happened the last time the phone was replaced and there was something I could do to get things moving, but I don't remember what?
Then you'll have to decide when you think it's hung and unlikely to restart. At that point, you'll probably have to reset it (by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release) and try restoring the backup again.
The only "solution" I've seen posted on photos that fail to restore from a backup that seems to have worked for others, is the on posted by ezjules here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. If you restore the backup again, you could give it a try and see if it works for you. -

Series of Questions I didn't get to ask at the Apple Store today...

Apologies if many of these questions have already been answered, but after reading this forum for a few hours, I still wasn't sure, and I knew that at least a couple people would have the answers at the tips of their fingers, so I was hoping to make use of the group's expertise. So....
As background, I've got iPhoto6 installed on my iMac G5 2.1 Ghz with 2GB of RAM, as well as on my MacMini (connected to the big screen in the living room), and on my wife's MacBookPro. The reason I'm asking these questions in the iPhoto7 ('08) forum rather than the 6 is because I'm wondering whether it's worth upgrading my iMac (the main photo editing station) to '08, or whether that will cause more problems than it will solve.
1) Can you photocast from 7 to 6?
2) If I work in 7, will 6 be able to read the library (I assume not, but wanted to confirm).
a) assuming not, i presume i can just buy an iLife family pack, but can then i just install iPhoto (I don't want to "upgrade" to the new iMovie) without the rest of the package?
3) In "managed" mode, using 10.4.11, does 7 support incremental updates (my current library is about 25GB, and I'm backing it up to an external FW drive, but it'd be nice to be able to do incrementally, but I don't want to run the risk of referencing files)?
4) is there an easy way to review/delete items (in 6, i run a basic slideshow and delete on the fly -- is this still workable in 7?)?
5) Are there significant functionality benefits of 7 over 6 (e.g., does the noise function or shadow/highlight really offer significant benefits? The Events seems obvious, but I'm more interested in "under the hood" experience

8) Can you configure events so that it's not just by day?
9) Is 6's "roll" structure as mirrored in the file system still available in the Events approach, or is the database structure that once you've converted a library, there's no going back?
10) What is the effective (or advised) maximum library size? I've probably got over 60GB of images in my libraries now, with 20,000 images or so. If 7 can readily digest them (and preserve all my albums, etc.), then I'd love to combine them into one, unless that will kill performance, make the database unstable, drive backups into interminable waits, etc.
11) Finally, Aperture seems like overkill for me (despite how cool/powerful the interface looks), and I'm especially daunted if I can't easily share libraries amongst the 3 (and soon 4) Macs, but if I'm misperceiving, please correct me.

Events replace rolls (if your rolls are named - NOT the default rollxxx name - they will come across as is - to me events are rolls with much more capability and a new name - some people are VERY putoff by the change (but most love it) for reasons that I simply do not comprehend

The advertised max is 250,000 photos - I have about the same number of photos as you in about 1/3 the space - there are a few users here with libararies your size. With iPhoto Library Manager it is easy to maintain multiple libraries if you choose

That third party adapter from your Amazon link is hard wired specifically for the Vision:M and will not work with any other Creative player unless it has the same pin-outs using the same docking interface. The Creative AC-5V adapters will either have a coaxial power plug connection that will work with most of the Creative hard disk based players, except for the original NJB and Zen Micro, or a USB Mini-B plug that will work with all of the flash players that have a USB connection and the Zen Micro. -
