I bought macbook pro 15" i5, few months ago, the unibody which was promoted made from aluminum is now rusted and the "silver" color is fade off.
Is anybody know why this can be happened?
As far as I know, Aluminum is never rusted!
This is really really disappointing.
I think Mac has done over claiming on their "unibody" - which was said form "single piece of Aluminum" by Jonathan Ive.
Let the Apple folks - or an AASP - run diagnostics on the machine. They'll be able to tell if you need a new logic board or not. Get an estimate - if it seems outrageous then it's probably time to buy a new computer.

My MacBook Pro with Retina display suddenly gave me a message when I boot up ie 'Your startup Disk is full' then after using a few more times, the screen suddenly become frozen white. Upon getting help, I managed to delete some files but when I checked the Storage space, the largest occupied space was orange color, named 'Others' which is more than 100 GB out of the total 120 GB!! I am surprised and do not understand what 'Others' mean. It is definitely not Audio, Video, Pictures, documents etc It is not mail too. If anyone can tell me what 'Others' in storage mean and how to see the contents of 'Others' so that I can delete those irrelevant files. Any advice and guidance is very much appreciated. I bought my Macbook Pro OS X Lion 10.7.5 in january 2012 brand new from my local apple store and i am sure they said that it would run AIRPLAY. Having just purchased apple TV and set it all up correctly I still can't connect - no AIRPLAY symbol ? pls help

You need OS X 10.8 mountain lion, mirror is a feature of that OS and you need to buy it from the app store, OS X 10.7.5 does not do it.
If you don't want to change visit www.airparrot.com a third party app that can do it.

In latest version of MF there`s missing button, which was in previous version: between buttons back/forward and the typing bar there used to be little flash, which showed few last pages I have just browsed. How can I restore it?
If you mean the drop marker then you can still get the History of the Back and Forward buttons if any by either Left-Click and hold for a second or by Right-Clicking them.

Please help! I have two separate email addresses -my old mobile me and the new icloud and now nothing is syncing with my iphone. I'm not sure how to get everything back to syncing the way it was before I changed everything over to icloud.
If you really did migrate from MobileMe to iCloud, you would have the same address as before.
It sounds as though you didn't actually migrate from MobileMe to iCloud, you just started up a brand new iCloud account.
You won't be able to access MobileMe now. If you failed to move everything over to iCloud properly, then all the data and the account has been deleted as Apple said it would at the end of July.
To get everything to sync, you need to make sure all your devices and computers are logged into the same iCloud account. Possibly what has happened is some are still using the old (now deleted) MobileMe account and some are using the new iCloud account. -

How to wipe off everything from my 15 MacBook Pro? I bought my Mac in Middle 2010. It was with OS X Snow Leopard, and a few months ago, I installed the Lion, so I couldn't just insert the CD and reinstall.
Yes, you can and should. The DVD belong with the MBP. You should use the original DVD to erase the disk and install Snow Leopard prior to sale.
You can't sell it with Lion because it is authorized under your user ID.

i had iweb on my last computer - bought a new 2013 macbook pro a few months ago and it's gone. I have a webpage I build on it and now I need to get back in to update it. Help.
Well of course you won't have iWeb on a new MacBook from this year. iWeb has not shipped on new Macs for a long time now and Apple has not sold iLife through its stores or online for over a year and does not support iWeb any longer.
If you want iWeb now, you will either need to purchase a new copy of iLife or try and find the old install discs from your old Mac and re-install iWeb from that disc. It also depends on what iWeb version you were using too - iWeb 08 or 09? If 08, then this is not compatible with Mavericks which will be running on a new Mac, so you'll need iWeb 09 for this. If you can find your old install discs and they are iWeb 09 then go ahead and use these, but if not, you will have to purchase the iLife 09 or 11 boxed set from Amazon and both of these contain iWeb 09 and you can then install it.
Also, when you set up your new Mac, did you migrate info over? If you had built a website on your old Mac, then you need to data file where all iWeb info is stored and that is called your domain.sites file and you need this file to be transferred if you want your website back again.
Can you get access to thhis file on your old Mac and transfer it? If you can then fine, you can access your website again, but if not, you are out of luck and you'll have to re-build your website from scratch using iWeb.
If you don't have iWeb, then now might be a good time to move forward and look at the many alternatives that are out there such as RapidWeaver, Sandvox, and EverWeb which is billed as an iWeb replacement and is very much like iWeb, but with SEO and the ability to create drop down menus built in (check out http://www.everwebapp.com). Other alternatives also include Flux 4, Freeway Pro and Express and WebAcapella 4.
Have a look and most of these allow you to download free trials so you can try before you buy. -

my 3 year-old macbook pro is very slow. I have run disk utility and virus scan with no improvement. The "beach ball" will spin for minutes at a time when opening, closing or changing windows. Apple Store looked at it a few months ago with no help. What can I do?

cant seem to open up word documents. I installed original disk a few months ago and was working fine up until yesterday. When i went to open up word a question mark would appear in the backround and now the WORD icon has dissapeared all together.Any way of fixing the problem?
Use Finder and search for 'Microsoft Word'. If it shows up, launch it from Finder and when it appears in Dock, right click the icon and select Options > Keep in dock.
If finder does not find Word it has somehow been deleted.
