I can no longer receive messages on my ipad. I can see them if I send one from my iphone. I think this has happened since I downloaded i06s. I get messages on my iphone.
Every since I downlloaded the last version of iOs, I think it was 6 I can't receive messages on my iPad. I get them on the iPhone4s just fine. I sent myself a test message from my iPhone and I was able to see it on my iPad.
Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

You should be storing everything on your computer. Just sync it to the iPhone of your choice from your computer.

I recently replaced the hard drive on my Windows 7 computer and in the process lost all my music. I think it should be on the iCoud. Can I get it back from the iCloud to my computer? Or can I "reverse-synch" FROM my iPhone TO iTunes?
All the music you purchased from iTunes can be re-downloaded, all the music you acquired without purchasing from iTunes can be accessed using Senuti (not free). The combination of these 2 will get your music back.

my laptop recenty went kaput and needed a new hardrive which was installed. When I got it back I downloaded itunes again and then bought some music. I connected my iphone and it would not allow me to transfer the music over to the iphone at all. It allowed me to pull all the music on my phone over to the itunes list which I realised at that point did have my usual music list on it. I can't seem to transfer any music purchased over to my iphone for love or money. This is happening to my brother on his itunes account also and he said it's happened since the last update on his. Any suggestions - I'm quite desperate as this is driving me nuts.

The last virus scan brought up no problems. I can't find anything in Essentials that suggests Firefox is being blocked but I've tried opening it by clicking and right clicking but no luck. I found a suggestion on Firefox support that said I should create a new profile but I can't find the relevant exe -p program despite doing a full Search. This problem is on my desktop which is using XP (I'm sending this from my laptop where there is no problem - and I'm also using Essentials on this.) I have Mac Book Pro.
I did a clean install of Yosemite.
Now when I download adobe flash player, Skype and other applications they are seen in the devices section of finder window. ( with a hard disk icon to their left)
Please can someone advise if this is fine ?
I would be downloading many applications, will they all sit under devices section ?

ThanksOk, I even found the Export tab -> Manage modules, and I see the Photoshop.com module. (Which kind of helps? Kind of.... But is that a separate storage area from my Creative Cloud drive? I believe it is seperate, yes?) I tried to drag Creative Cloud link into the Manage modules, and that didn't work. So, is there no Creative Cloud Export Module in Bridge?
That just doesn't make any sense to me that there is not seamless interconnectivity between a storage drive and an application that is intended to map and "bridge" all of your stored data for easier project integration. -

Have you ever been able to recieve emails on the iPad and on that Wi-Fi network?
The quickest and most likely fix will be testing on another Wi-Fi network.

In Messages on the Mac do you have the Preferences > Messages section set to "Save History when Conversations are Closed" ?
This will store all IMs and iMessages in ~/Library/Messages/Archive.
Use the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and type that path into the Dialogue box that appears. (~/Library/Messages/Archive).
They are stored in dated folders so some guessing/trail and error will be needed.
You may find that if this was an iMessage and you send the person a new message that the whole History with that Contact since you installed Mountain Lion/Started Messages may appear and that it is scrollable the closer you get to the "top" and the top may keep moving until all is on show.

When someone messages you from their iPhone or iPad you receive the message to your iPhone or iPad but you don't know whether it is from their iPhone or their iPad. That needs to be updated.
Why does it matter?
It's the person who sent the message that is important, not which particular device they used to send it, surely?
When someone calls you from their home landland, is it necessary to know whether they're calling you from the phone in the kitchen, or the one in the bedroom? -

The problem is, I do NOT have a password for my outgoing server. -
Can not send email from Mac, iPhone, or iPad using mail using iCloud.
I can send email from the icloud web page but I get error messages that the icloud outgoing server is not recongized when I send email from my iphone, ipad and Mac mail. I can receive icloud email okay on all devices. I have manully setup a icloud server per instructions on icloud support page for mail's outgoing server name. It still is not recongized.
I found a work around that works. Got to Settings...Icloud....account......advanced....outgoing mail server.....
Add an "other" server.
Host Name p01-smtp.mail.me.com
Put in your me.com email address as username and your Apple ID password
SSL is on
Authentication is password
Server port 587
This worked for me.....I will use this until the bug is fixed. Don't make this server your primary. Leave it in "on" status in the other category.

I can not get or send mail from my iPhone, iCloud, and desktop mail. All are the same account, password is right and working. When the problem first happened I updated to a new password.
The Mail and the phone are telling me ( "The iCloud IMAP server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” rejected the password for user “k****n******2”}
From the iCloud account i get a message saying mail could not be loaded and the details. Which i have copyed below.
Any thoughts or anyone I can ring ? This was a paid for mobile me account.

After trying lots of things and speaking to a higher grade support person I was given a temp password which did the trick. I then was able to reset that with my own password.
The impression i got was no one knowns what the problem is and resetting the password at the apple end works. Not sure if you would be able to self fix. -
Can't send email from my iPhone...
I am having problems sending email from my iPhone via my ISP and the ISP at work. I can send email through my personal domain from these places using my Mac laptop but not via the iPhone.
Settings for the ISP should be SSL Off for both directions [incoming/outgoing] Authentication: Password and a strange config. for username:
username+mydomain.com not just username and with the + symbol and not the @ I have entered the address correctly and I get Cannot Send Mail
Sending contents of the message to the server failed.
I have also tried:
mail.mydomain.com:567 and :2525 and :465 and all return similar errors
I should mention that I'm able to send mail to the phone and retrieve it successfully but not send from it.
I've tried changing the Uses SSL for Outgoing and still no love. I have verified with my ISP that everything is correct and yet I am still unable to send email from the iPhone.
Any suggestions or troubleshooting tips are greatly appreciated. My ISP is Site5 as well.Yeah, I read the Apple Tech Doc where it described how to add the port number so I tried 587, 465 and 2525 at the request of my hosting company's Forum userbase. All suggestions were attempted including converting the account on Site5 to IMAP and all tests resulted in no mail being sent and a cryptic error message with no useful details as to why the mail was not able to be delivered [like an error code or something useful]. I too am hoping that Apple says or does something about this in the near future.
Usernames for my ISP must be formatted like so:
username+domain.com
I'm not sure if that's part of the problem but I've been successful at creating accounts for multiple mail clients including GyazMail for Mac, Thunderbird and several other mail clients but for the life of me, I can't get the iPhone to send a single bit of information via SMTP.
Any assistance or news on this front would be greatly appreciated.
