Double-tap the home button and then swipe it to the right. Along with music and brightness controls, there will be a button with an arrow in a circle. If there's a lock in the middle, tap it.

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

If you go to Photoshop>About Plug-in and click on the words Camera Raw, what version does it list?
I suspect you still have Camera Raw 7.0
When you go to Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6, it says nothing available?

A lot of my friends have told me that the otter box breaks the lock button on the iPhone and sure enough it has happened to me. It's as if the lock button is frozen in place and won't click down. Can I return this phone for a new one? my biggest fear is that I'll have to go a couple of weeks with out a phone while I wait for my new one.. And with regards to otter boxes, should I stay away from them to prevent future issues like this from happening again?

Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
If the latter happens then you have a problem with cookies that are not kept or the file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

When you have problems with an app, try deleting it, then re install from the App Store icon.
You can delete an app from an iOS device by pressing and holding down the app icon until it jiggles then tap the circle with an x then tap Delete.
Tap the App Store icon. Type in iBooks top right corner in the search field then tap Install.
To stop all the apps from jiggling, press the Home button once or twice.
If you continue to have problems with apps, try a restore.

Your post says you have an iPhone 3G. Is it running iOS 4.2.1, which is the latest iOS it can run? Even if so, it's now quite old (nearly five years). That could be part of the problem.
Anyway, maybe you should delete your mail account (Settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -- if it was still called that back in the iOS 4.2.1 days), and start over.

When say opening my mail box a new pages opens to a site not where I selected to go have run anitvirus scans with no problems found any ideas.

When opening my email a new page opens in my browser it may be just a normal site or my WOT warns of danger. If I X the new browser and go back to my email all is normal until I ask for the email again a a later time. Have run numerous virus scans and superantispyware scans with no problems found. also when opening a google search when I click on a site a new google search opens with the same search information.
