I can't click the "icloud icon" to download my purchase in the itunes store.

I am trying to download purchased music on my computer that my daughter purchased on her itouch (her iTouch broke). I see the icloud icon to download, but i can't click it. Help!

Could you please give us a little more information, so far as I am aware iCloud does not put an icon on the screen of your iPad.

If you downloaded it on your computer's iTunes then it should be in the Books part of your library, if you downloaded it on an iOS device then it should be in the Music app on it. If it's not there, and you don't have a copy of it on your backup of your library, then you will need to try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download (audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, which I believe is a requirement from audible.com who supply them) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

The icloud icon is no longer showing up in my system preferences and I can't access it

I can't get to my desktop on my network and thought it might be a problem with the icloud. So I went to system preferences and the icloud icon is no longer there, although the mobile me icon IS showing... so, I don't know what's wrong!

Thanks, I guess I'm confused, because it WAS showing up on my ipad. My main problem is that my Mac desktop icon is no longer showing up on my home network and I cn't acess it from my laptop (share screen)... although I was able to access my desktop a few days ago. It is not Apple that decides this. Since Apple is just the retailer, they do not own the copyrights to the content they sell on the iTunes store, if the copyright owner decides to remove something from the store that you have purchased Apple must abide by the terms of their licenseing agreements and remove it. Regretablly this also removes the items from your purchase history. This is why it is up to you to download and backup all of your purchases if you wish to maintain your investment.

It is recommended that you always back up your iTunes library in the event that a purchased item is no longer available on the iTunes Store. For more information about backing up your library, see this article.

It sounds like you are trying to download a previous purchase to your iPad but the item never downloads. I would recommend starting by closing all the apps that are running in the background.

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that, sign out of your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes and App stores, and restart the phone and try again:

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't play music from the computer if there is none there. If you are using iTunes Match you should now be able to download and play all your music on the Apple TV from the music feature on the main page.

I can't access the iCloud icon in settings on my iPhone 4?

Both the iCloud icon & FaceTime icon in Settings is a cloudy color and when I click on either of them nothing happens. Also the iTunes app icon is no longer on my home screen. The iTunes section & apps in Settings appear in the same bright colors as they always have but nothing happens when I click on them. Also Facebook is cloudy in settings and it click but nothing happens. My phone is out of storage b/c of photos & doc usage space so I can't download the upgrade. It has the Icloud icon in the top right hand corner of the cover and if i click on play it starts to download from Icloud again and it does this each time i wish to play it, the same now happens to all my purcased movies which of course uses additional ISP download allowance. Before the recent update and lay out of Itunes this didn't happen i just purchased a movie and downloaded it then synced it to my ipod and enjoyed it. But now this latest movie purchase will not download to my ipod. I have sent the problem to Itumes and if there is answer i havent received it. Appreciate any advice

You may need to download a lower resolution version of the movie in order for it to sync to your iPod.

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error with the Podcasts app. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

I just updated my ipod touch and when I go into itunes, it shows the icloud icon and I can't see any of my music. I can see that the music is there from my desktop. Is there someway I can shut the icloud "thing" down so that I can just access my music?

Why are all my movies and tv shows from my library now on my ipad with the icloud icon? I have turned off all icloud related services. I have never used it. On top of that, my ipad now gets stuck on step 5 of the sync - waiting for changes to be applied and never finishes.

Hi, go in Settings, under Videos turn off "Show all videos" this will remove the purchased videos to be displayed in the Video app. The same can be done with the music.
As for Step 5, connect you iPad and on the summary Tab, uncheck
"Sync only checked songs and videos". Then wait, it takes a while but this made it work for me after many restore attempts.

I can't find the icloud icon in my system preferences so i can use find my iphon max book.

I'm trying to use the Find My Iphone app to track my MacBook but i cannot find the icloud icon in my system preferences. Is it true that I have to buy the latest software up-date before i can do this. I can't believe that PC users can get it for free and Mac users have to pay for it.

What URL do you have bookmarked as your home page? You might want to look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]]. There are steps in there to restore the home page to default. I would try that first to see if it clears up any strangeness. If that works, you can set the home page to anything you like.

As you probably know the Canon plug-in enables Log & Transfer in FCP7. I'm not sure whether it works with Final Cut Express or not.
Look in Applications>Canon Utilities. I'm running 10.6 as well and that is where it's located on my machine.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
