I downloaded the Assistant and it is not a choice. I will not download the Master Collection because I need it this year. Very frustrating to see the circles I am jumping through to get to this product. Please provide a simple solution for this.

Great questions. It takes me to a screen that tells me the server can't find the file. Here is the exact message:
"Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “http://mirror.leaseweb.com/software/mozilla/firefox/releases/5.0.1/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%205.0.1.exe” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again."
I've tried coming from various websites, using various computers and browsers. It still gives me this message or one similar.

Ummm I'm not really sure to be honest here,But let me give you some backround of what happened. Basically my sister took my iPod touch (3rd generation I believe it is) and restored and updated the condition of it and made it up to date. Where is the lock? If it is the one in the address bar, it means simply that the connection with that website is encrypted and cannot be asily read by third parties, I think. When does it tell you that you got a version running of firefox? You might want to try to restart your machine.

My Mac Book pro does not boot, not even in safe mode. It boots in Recovery Mode, and I tried to reinstall it and it says downloading and it shows that it will take 258 hours. I cannot wait 258 hours, is there any other way

How good is Maverick, Can I upgrade from Mountain Lion 10.8.2 to Mavericks. The local service center did not bother to verify the warranty and told me to pay 2000 rupees. I thought the warranty to be worldwide, apparently not, any suggestions.
If I have no warranty I would still want a DVD of Mountain Lion since I can do the install myself and do not need to pay 2000 for installation. There is no data to backup. I would really appreciate any help here.

You can go to the Apple online store and purcahse a copy of Mountain Lion. This will give you a redemption code, which you can use to download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Unfortuantely, I'm not aware of any other way to legally purchase it. I have never seen Apple release Muontain Lion on DVD.
In terms of Apple Service, they just need the serial number of the machine to check the purcahse date. It is usually correct, to within a few weeks. A quick Google search should give you the correct number to dial.

My OS is a Windows 7, in ENGLISH, location United Kingdom (already tried US), and i'm using a Google Chrome in English. (btw i also had problems to download the ENGLISH version of it, its incredible)
I've tryied to download, in multiple ways, iTunes and iCloud in english, but i get always the version in french (nerd rage arriving).
What i've done: (combined in multiple tries)
- Changed the location in the apple website to UK / US (the bottom right flag)
- Defined the location on the download page of iTunes
- Changed the location in the regional settings of the computer to UK / US
- Reboot after each test and change.
- 8 total downloads (1GB), all in french (GRRRRRR)
Can anyone help me please?

(There is only one iTunes for all languages. It will use the language your OS is set to)

There are legally NO FREE DownLoad of iDVD - at all.
If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.
iDVD is part of the boxed version of iLife'11 and can only be bought outside Apple as on Amazon and e-bay
DVD Studio pro - Part of FinalCut Studio Pro bundle - this to has expired and can only be bought second handed. (High price and tough learning Curve - but best ever done.)
Roxio Toast™ - Not as elegant as iDVD - but has many other positive additions (I like it as 10-Pro incl BD-component) (now version 11)
FinalCut Pro-X which also can burn to DVD but without any nice themes.

My iPhone 3S will not allow me to upgrade. I can't download any apps and when I connected my iPhone to iTunes and tried to upgrade it, it said it was already updated. On top of that, WiFi does not work with my iPhone. What do I do to fix this?

My dad got this iPhone for me a few months ago as a gift since I had a really awful phone before. The only thing is, I can't seem to upgrade it to the latest software without it telling me it's already updated to iOS 4 or something like that. (I would be able to give you the exact iOS version, but ever since connecting my iPhone to iTunes, my phone isn't responding so I can't check the settings or anything.) I can't download any apps (I get an error message saying the software on my phone is too old) and so I pretty much am extremely limited to what I can do on this phone. I'm very frustrated at this point and incredibly displeased with Apple's products.
If someone could please explain to me why this is happening and what I can do to fix it, I'd be extremely grateful.

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

I can't download any more on my ipad due to my icloud storage being full. The ipad came with the icloud free storage but now it seems that i have to pay for more storage on icloud. Do i have to? What if i dont want icloud?

The ipad is my son's so he doesn't really need the icloud as he only uses his ipad to play apps. The ipad seems to have a lot of unused capacity but it won't let him download any more apps without paying for additional icloud storage. Should be able to. I dont' use iCloud and I have no issue downloading apps.
you may need to be patient though, from what some have said, it may be that the app store is a bit swamped and busy with all the new iPad owners.

I was installing Mac X Lion on my iMac when the power went off. A error message says install failed, Mac OS X could not be installed on your computer, The installer encountered an eror that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. Click Restart to restart your computer and try installing again. When I restart it keeps going to install Lion and getting the same error message. I tried starting with holding the option key down and selecting Mac Hard disk, but again it keeps going to the installer and the error comes again.

If so, the first thing I would do is to back up your data on the ill mac. I assume both macs have firewire port, get a cable and connect both macs via this cable. Then restart your ill mac by pressing T key after chime, it will become a simple external disk you should see on the desktop of your healthy mac. Back up your data.
Now, with this action accomplished, you may go on. BArney - 15E is optimistic and says how to restart in recovery mode—this may be possible if installation was complete for recovery partition (I doubt this, but I may be wrong).
Otherwise, I would reinstall from the scratch. If after connecting your ill mac via FW, you may see the disk in good order, you should also see the Lion installer within Applications folder. Copy it unto an external disk or flash disk and keep it safe, you will need it again.

some types it will try to open instead of saving it and it will fail if it can't open it.
